Wow ! How encouraging ! I can see the song leader directing the men and ladys and there parts now! Great memories you bring to me of days gone by ! Thanks Glenda !
Oh what memories this song brings back !!!! Des Plaines Bible Church and Park Ridge Bible Church in the burbs of Chicago. No Easter Sunday service was complete without the sacred three. "Wonderful Grace of Jesus"......"He Arose"......"He Lives". Oh my.....every voice in the church was turned on every heart sang out. Our choir directores in both Bible Cjurches would have us extend the last two chords in all three songs toll we were out of breath. Are there any churches out there that sing these hymns anymore???
Yes i remember this well as we sang the great gospel hymns on sunday night service but this one was a choir piece as well thankyou sadly we here in australia struggle to a church that sing any great hymns Yours in His wonderful name James chissell no not chisel
James, this is a GREAT piece for a choir to sing and especially if you've got some good men voices! When I was still teaching choir, I would use this one as a good warm up, it covers all the parts and it's quite a work out! And it's one of the best hymns ever! Thank you for listening and commenting! Stay well and Happy New Year.
Welcome, Lorraine! I hope you'll be back, I try to upload videos regularly! You just never know what's coming next. Stay well and thank you for listening and commenting!
Hello!! I just came across your site and subscribed . I am a pianist too and always love to hear how others play the hymns. It's funny because I was just practicing this one this morning. I especially love the arrangements that include plenty of octaves!!!
That was the absolute best I’ve ever heard it played!!! I think God was playing with your hands!!!LOL. Blessings to you this was fantastic!!
C’est magnifique! Bravo 🎉❤

Yes, Glenda, I know that one too. So good to know a bit about your background. I teach your pieces to my students; so thank you for sharing this.

Great arrangement and excellent playing as always. That was in the old broadman hymnal used by our Baptist church growing up and sung with enthusiasm.
Yes, it's a GREAT piece and one that can really get the crowd singing. Thank you, Carolyn, for listening and commenting!
