I don't often send a note but this was a must. I go to a Baptist church out in the country. I mean out in the country,. I live at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains. I have played for church close to 60 years,. Yea, I started just before my 14th birthday. Yes, I read music but I play be ear as well. I prefer to read cord names and will play up to 2 sharps. I never thought I would find someone who played as much like I do BUT I believe I met my match. I still play for church and what a fine little country church. Our people love to sing and I mean sing. Service starts at 10:45 and the pastor doesn't get the pulpit till about 11:40 and yes, we are out of church by 12. Robert is good, he has his points and you sit spell bound. Our minister of music has degrees of which I don't have. My degree was a God given talent. Thank you as I am enjoying. I generally play the organ at church and we have Hammond B-3 which we brought into the 21st century. We have a small band and Sunday was added a set of drums. We have a keyboard and a fine piano. Listing to you today, I actually switched with Andy and I played the piano and he did the organ.
Praise the Lord! I am glad to hear that God is using you and that you are allowing Him to use you! Continue to stay faithful to Him! God has His eyes on the little churches just as much as the big ones. He sees and appreciates when you follow His leading and worship Him in a way He can receive. God bless you!
