How To Build A MagSafe Wireless Charging Compatible Case For Your Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5
In this video I show how to put together a case that is MagSafe wireless charging compatible for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5.
This involves using a case that has got a smooth plastic back on it and attaching an ESR Halolock Universal Ring to the back of the case.
Once you put this case together it will make your Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 compatible with MagSafe wireless chargers.

I did mine by just dead reckoning to see where the coil ended and determined that the coil was pretty generous and could be put down a little more to the charging port, as I have myself a case with a hinge protector and if I put it as shown in the video, the powerbanks that have quite some space on the top will hit the hinge protector and will be pushed down and adding silicone adhesive, and letting it settle for a day or two instead of the provided adhesive as repeated usage will prove it useless.
So far it has been doing me well and I have added the same to my other cases.

I also bought a cheaper ring which costs around .15 euros on aliexpress and it still works like the ESR ring so I bought a bunch of these and added it to all of my cases, just to follow this up! :)

Hi. Like I just mentioned to one of your other comments, for car use it may be best looking for a dedicated case. Using this ESR ring system is a good option as the magnetic attraction is very good. However, I’ve only used this in a desktop setup. Cheers, Dave.
I've got the flip five and every mag safe wireless charger I've had works just fine they even stick good enough to open the phone while it's on there and drive with it open too no problem at all

Alright, Tone. Sorry mate, I’ve missed loads of comments. No, they’ve not made the guide for the Flip, they don’t even have one for the iPhone SE. I hope I can get the new 15 Pro Max. If not, ESR are going to be proper pissed off because they’ve just sent me 6 new products for it 😂 There’s a cool looking case that’s in two halves and totally covers/protects the phone with a screen protector built in, add on lens protectors, a cover for the new USB C port, a kick stand and it’s MagSafe. It’s a pure beast of a case, all I need now is the phone to go with it 😂 Cheers, Dave.
Does anyone know if having the magnet on the back will interfere with NFC tap payments with samsung wallet etc.?
