    Walking On A Glacier - Best Trip EVER?
    After 5 long years of waiting, we FINALLY got to Almer Hut! And the weather, people and scenery certainly didn’t disappoint. Walking on the glacier and surrounding areas was one of the best trips I’ve ever done. Why? I’ll let the video do the talking, enjoy. 😀

      Oh wow, Richard. How exciting and slightly nervous for you, all at the same time! Nothing ventured, nothing gained though. I’m sure you’ll look back on this and be so grateful that you were pushed out of your comfort zone to do something you normally would never do. Please check in and let me know how you’re going, I’d love to hear about your adventures. All the very best to you and your wife.

    Wow, that was a trip worth the wait! It looked great. I dunno about staying in that packed hut. The tent looked the better option.

      It was actually a lot fuller the night prior, so yes, even more reason to hide away in my Hilleberg. ⛺️😁👍🏼

    Looks amazing Barry.
    I fly to NZ in 2 weeks time. If you're hiking around Te Araroa this summer and see a Scottish man in a kilt, come say Kia Ora.

    Hey great trip.... Amazing edit with mixture of slow-motion shots.... You must have has a couple of cameras or someone else filming as well for this one.. AWSOME and videos are constantly getting better.. ATB and keep up the great work.. Tom

      @wildmountainman1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Tom for your kind words. Yes, it was a team effort in capturing the right shot and others helping me as well. When I went up there I had no idea what the theme of the video would be, however it quickly took shape as the weekend unfolded. The use of slow-mo was a good addition as and when required to increase effect in some areas. Thanks again for your support.

    It looked like the weather was starting close in as you were leaving?

    • @wildmountainman1
      @wildmountainman1  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey man. Yes, the day prior we had very low cloud that we got caught up in, which I didn’t show in this video. The heli picked us up early on the day of departure as bad weather was rolling in and we didn’t want to get stuck up there for several days.
