I mostly agree with your points, but with some exceptions. First, dvergr lantern (IMHO) is ok as it is because it has a unique advantage - it's eternal. I mean, you don't have to refill it with fuel like you do it with other sources of light. Second, I think it would be better if queen could have escaped it's citadel not at certain percent of health, but under certain circumstances, e.g. if you leave the citadel too often or for too long. And about changes I'd like to see - more ways to use black cores, because as soon as you get five of them, you can easily leave the infested mines for good; and move gjal's weak spot further to their butt, and also make them to tend do turn their "faces" to you, so basically make them more like seeker brutes. And I also would like to have more food and items from previous biomes to be used in progressive recepes
I think the standing Dverger lanterns would be a better option if they didn’t also add the Wisp torches, since they are both eternal lights and one of them also clears mist. I like that Queen idea, where she kinda chases you out if you keep leaving to rest up. Black cores definitely need more uses! I’d love for them to keep implementing more food that uses other food recipes, so you have to keep visiting past biomes.
@@quicksandriggs I consider standing lanterns as an option to get backhouse to one of the houses inprevious biomes and redecorate it, in this case it's just fine, but I see what you mean, it's totally worthless in mystlands
My idea for the mist is to give the Moder power the ability to clear any rain, snow and mist (similar to the "Clear Sky"-shout in Skyrim), in addition to the sailing buff. That way, we get rid of both the mist and get some use of the most useless power currently in the game. Personally, I hate the mist and lack of visibility. Luckily, there was a mod that removes it.
I would like to see some sort of fan built with the lightning core, i think it is called that atleast(whatever the lightning rock is from the merchant).and all around more things involving the item. I think it would also be cool to have the dvergr have merchants on occasion. Definitely want more npc interaction.
I like the Mistlight, (Drift globe) and the Feather fall cloak someone's been playing DnD I feel. Upgrading lanterns dunno but more light or a slightly bigger radius for the globe would be nice. Especially as it takes up the belt slot and you lose inventory which is at a premium.
(edited because half of it was cut before I post for some reason) I am late to the discussion but I'll be the Devil's Advocate, but first I have to say that I loved the mistlands biome and I am very happy that I managed to get back to the game in time to pick up the pace before Ashlands update. And about mistlands, I loved how it was challenging, not because its just hard, but because it forces you to make it slow just to be able to see what is ahead and to manuever the terrain properly, and how the new gears made that journey slowly more and more doable, as you said, you get used to the area once you get the hang of the terrain and the enemies, the feather cape is one of the funniest items to use in the game, the elemental weapons are great, magic is good and strong, the new bombs are so useful, can't wait to see what Iron Gate is cooking for ashlands, their dev updates are very promissing. Now lets be Polemic: About the mist, I get it you don't like the mist, you want it gone in any possible way. But I am strongly against, I agree that should be a way to improve the range of the mistlight but not make it too far, I think make it 40% on max tier could be more than enough. But about the mist overall, it is the area gimmick and should be a constant threat, most of the solutions presented got problems, like trivializing the Mist part of the mistlands, or making long term problems like drying out the roots permanently would make the sap a limited resource and so eithr and the food that uses sap. The enemies are annoyingly enough in the current patch and make them even more does not sound a great idea they were nerfed for a reason, like making the broods grow in a minute is insane, or making seekers dig the ground, or fly all the time, there are people that play this game solo, the design of the enemies have this in mind, but I agree that the Gjall could have a melee attack, another move to cycle around his AI making the tik spawn less often. The Queen being instanced has a reason: Mistlands terrain is not designed for her boss fight, I had this glitch with a friend and it trivialized the fight, because she could not reach the high areas, not only that but not every queen spawn is on a nice and clean area with only cliffs around, there are queen spawns sorrounded with water due to the rng feature of the world, which is my case on my single player world, when I fought her alone I was praying Odin to her teleport no glitch out because her dungeon is sorrounded by a lake and the cliffs next to it are very hard to climb.
I would tie these changes to the mobs to the upcoming difficulty settings they have announced. The mist is by far the most frustrating aspect of the update and conquering it would provide immense satisfaction, moreso than killing the queen with a flint knife.
As a solo xboxplayer, more effective wisp light woud be nice, but plz let the queen where she is, having a hard time fighting her already......stil need to beat her, but seems impossible on xbox...
Very true and it’s definitely nice having a better torch, which should come in very handy when they add more biomes after the Mistlands! It’ll still bother me that the Dverger use the lanterns in their settlements even though they don’t help, but maybe their eyesight works different from our characters. :P
@@quicksandriggs different eyes may actually have a point) sometimes we can find a dvergr rogues pretty far from dvergr camps, and they just stand there without whisp lights and don't seem to have any discomfort
That’s rough. Most of the time Steams refund policy works pretty good for me, but every now and then that 2hr window is not enough. If only there was a refund for time…
First of all, I am very pro the addition of difficulty settings and sliders and I hope Iron Gate makes that a priority! Secondly, I think I am far from a ‘gaming god’, I play on average 1hr a day and I died about 70 times in my last play through. I’m just someone who quite enjoys a challenge at every turn! Definitely don’t want things to be impossible for anyone, hopefully we do get some sliders and settings for each server.
Wait, you don't "...live and breath (sic) games" but your name is "Casual Gaming"? WTF? Maybe your name should be "Once a Year Gaming for 10 Minutes". Seriously, take the "gaming" out of your name, or game 13 hours a day like real gamers do. You should be embarrassed to post things like that, dude.

Definitely a cool light in any other biome!

Hell yeah, I double that

Interesting ideas! I would definitely like to see the merchant items used more in general, most of them end up being a one time purchase.
You need sap for food, wouldn’t like running out. The Gjall melee attack is a good idea though.
That would definitely be rough for the food situation!

That’s a good idea!
With console release me and my friends are putting alot of time into the game would be nice to have a guide on getting matts like iron.
I will take a look at it when I get some time, thanks for the idea!

She can be really rough to fight, but for my group the fight got a bit easier once it glitched outside.
I would like to be able to tame and ride a seeker solder
That would be fun!
the lanterns are simply an upgraded torch. Not to much to look into that.

Gaming just isn't for some people.
Why do you people want things to be impossible for normal people. We don't live and breath games like you gaming gods.
