The problem with Valheim is that they could have been padding the content we already have in the game with a ton of additions (more build pieces, more recipes, better ui, more varied equipment...), but they don't. All they do is the new biome type of update, that takes a long time to finish because there is a lot of conceptual work that has to be put into it. Also, this was the first true new biome in Enshrouded, but I bet it was already long planned, as the mountains were already part of the game since EA release. Finally time to finish my carved mountain cliff house that overlooks whole massive open area, especially with those material sliders playing solo.
I played this on early access release, put around 20 hours on it and stopped to wait for the full release because I didn't want to spoil myself before the full game came out, but my god its some no-nut-november levels of anguish. The best about this game isn't even like, everything you touched on. The whole world just looks insane and makes you go "holy shit I want to make a base here". Only thing the game is missing is either a way to move the entire base, or a blueprint system so you don't die of choice paralysis.

Awesome! Thanks so much for the update recap. I've been [letting] the game cook a little longer before I jumped back in. Still sad to see that it doesn't look like they've added any tools or anything to make farming less laborious. While it is nice to get more yield with a slider, I feel like there's still plenty to be desired. Example: Something akin to the hammer, allowing you to go into a "build mode" for placing crops, giving you the option to adjust planting grid sizes and seeds choice. As farming crops is one of my favorite activities in these games, something to reduce the tedium would be welcomed on my end.
If they keep this pace up for another year this game might be a contender for best of all time! They are obviously doing there vision but also taking ridiculous amounts of player feedback for features and content. That is a recipe for next success.
Love this game. The building aspect was extremely addicting. The ability to hollow out a mountain or large rock formation and create caves that lead to living areas allowed for some beautiful fantasy architecture.
You are not alone in your love of this game. Honestly? this is my all time favorite game! Never thought i'd say that, - but it's true. I'm super glad I seen this here back in one of the upcoming game reviews, updates have been awesome and I cant wait to jump back in. Love the channel , Love what you are doing Keen games!!! Money well spent.
I was surprised how much I loved Enshrouded. I've never been into survival crafting type games, but it actually has extremely little in terms of survival, as the food stuff you eat is more a buff than something required. And I actually really liked the base building. I didn't do any super expert level stuff, my bases always wound up with lighting/design issues, but it was great fun. I pretty rapidly dropped around 250 hours into it, which seems crazy. (Most games I'm lucky to get half that much playtime.) Though honestly it did only take about 50 to max the talent points that were there. (I am tempted to say it was either 114 or 140, I remember 1s and 4s heh.) Oooh new skills and perks and perk points? Sounds like it's time to go back and take a peek. Is this patch you are talking about out now or soon? I think you said it was the next upcoming? Cool addition for the NPCs to have a bed, now they can actually go up to the rooms I made for them way back when. heh.
Enshrouded is really one of the best games that have been released in recent years. I love the direction the studio is going. I always love new weapons / items to craft / new biomes, just amazing to see.
I remember when this game came out and Ive never been a survival crafting guy because it was only about the gathering and crafting but each update for this game makes me more interested because they put cool stuff in for exploration and combat that seems to actually warrant the crafting and gathering. Now Im just waiting on the Volcano biome
I really like how the game came along, could only hope for it and they did it! Curious what's coming next. Truly a win win situation thanks for the video!
My friend is fatigued from early access. Starting over with each update (Grounded, SOTF, etc) I almost held the same fatigue but Enshrouded gets me every time. I don't mind restarting since the updates are so insanely large. New builds, new discoveries, new base ideas, new features. I love the game a lot!
Enshrouded/Keen Games are really killing it. This latest update is really awesome, once again. By the end of EA, it's going to be GOTY contender, for me, I'm sure EDIT: Wanted to add, this was a great recap + info video, Force. Thanks =)
Seems likes it's time to check this one out again. I tried it when it was first released and I really liked it, but decided that I would let it cook a bit since I had so much other stuff to play. Thanks for sharing.
Bought it when it was first available and greatly enjoyed it. I'll wait for full release to revisit it but I love what I see here. Especially weather. Would really like to see a good reason to build more than one building location, like having some outposts.
A friend gifted this game to me a few months back. I never actually played it beyond 20 mins or so. Seems like now its the time to give ir a real go. It looks really good!
Was long debating wether or not i should get the game, i think your review at last sold the game to me, i saw enough footage and you provided pretty good insight on the game, thank you for your good job sir
I loved the game and put about 60h into it with a friend about half a year ago. We will certainly come back in some time to try out the new content! I just hoped there was some persistency of the map and non-growable resources available (as an option maybe?) which would make it even more interesting because suddenly you’d have to scavenge for resources and not just come back to the same spot every time again in my opinion!
Enshrouded at early release was simply the most fun I've had in a game in years. Played every part of it and I'm now looking forward to returning for the new content!
Thisbis my first survival game (outside of Fallout 4) and I'm loving it. No handholding, just figuring things outbas I go. Got it because of Neebs Gaming.
Looks really cool. I have the game from a while ago. I'm having fun in New World right now but when I get bored with that I will probably jump into this. I didn't do any of the expansions in this so I should have plenty of content.
Really wondering when you’re going to start making absolutely insane faces for your thumbnails lol. I love how every time it’s like a hint into your opinion
This has been on my wishlist for a while, I think I may just have to give it a shot. I never thought I'd like survival games, but Valheim changed my mind and this one is looking really good!
This latest update has been fantastic, I never thought my epic adventure progress would be gated by having to own Yaks. I hope they flesh out the combat system/talents next and add in game chat.
Is this update worth reinstalling? I had a good time with it at launch, but the base building felt useless compared to something like Valheim, and the enemy AI needed a massive overhaul, with some really badly balanced recipes for crafting certain things, (end game food and arrows) and some of the abilities not actually affecting your character (the 2 handed weapon attack speed increase didn't actually do anything) Does the update fix anything besides just giving a new area? AI improvements?
It's like warcraft and minecraft was together and Enshrouded is made to be what a great fun survival game is. I recommand it to anyone who wants to have a great experience of exploring, building your own bases, and alot of goals it has.

Grateful for all the PC players testing this one out until a polished and finished version releases on console next year.
This is one of the best in the genre for sure. If you're a fan of Survival Crafting and PvE Fantasy RPGs, don't hesitate. This game is really good.
Today's "Irrational Exuberance" has been brought to you by Money Hat.
Money Hat: We Get Shit Done.
Thank you , love your channel. Straight to the point , no messing about. Games on sale for £20 on steam , you’ve convinced me to buy it 👍.
This should have been an MMO, it begs to be one.
if this was an mmo people would complain about low player count and lack of content and it would die with no one being able to play it offline.
@@jimecherry No what I mean is that they should use this technology they have, to make an MMO.
Having played MMOs since EQ in '99... no it should not have been. Could it be? Maybe. Should it? Not in it's current state. A lot would have to be redesigned for large groups.
Ive loved playing this game. First seen it here on this channel b4 it came out. Bought it day 1 and had some friends buy it as well. I think the devs are doing a great job. few small things That Im not super crazy about but over all. I'm super glad I seen this here back in one of the upcoming game reviews, updates have been awesome and I cant wait to jump back in. Love the channel , Love what you are doing Keen games!!! Money well spent.

These updates are crazy... Great video 😀
(I am tempted to say it was either 114 or 140, I remember 1s and 4s heh.)
Oooh new skills and perks and perk points?
Already a lot to love here. I'm looking forward to trying out all the new items and especially the updraft.
Heard about this game on release but wanted to wait for a few more updates, can't wait to start now!
By the end of EA, it's going to be GOTY contender, for me, I'm sure
EDIT: Wanted to add, this was a great recap + info video, Force.
I had no idea they added so much. I'm re-installing now to check this all out.
Nice, the custom settings were something I was looking forward to.
Enshrouded at early release was simply the most fun I've had in a game in years. Played every part of it and I'm now looking forward to returning for the new content!
My favorite house building game
I'm so excited for this they have made some awesome updates, can't wait to see it keep going.
Thisbis my first survival game (outside of Fallout 4) and I'm loving it. No handholding, just figuring things outbas I go.
Got it because of Neebs Gaming.
bought it when it came, thanks for calling attention on it, i gotta go back to it
Looks like the game is shaping into a beast cant wait for more awsome updates.
i loved this game even at release, i'm stoked to jump back into it soon with some friends :)
I am completely in love with this masterpiece!
Hallow halls play style and length is a very good addition for future regular content releases
Great sponsor from a great company and game
Looks really cool. I have the game from a while ago. I'm having fun in New World right now but when I get bored with that I will probably jump into this. I didn't do any of the expansions in this so I should have plenty of content.
Wow. The improvements that this game had made is really impressive. Nice job devs 👏
This game is amazing, I adore it. Thank you Keen ❤
One of my top ten favorite games of all time. Loved it.
Definitely brought me back to Enshrouded with this update.
Had a great time with this game waiting for full release to get back into it.
My wife and I exhausted it the first two weeks it early released and haven’t touched it since. We’ve been waiting for full release
I absolutely love this game. Just hit 1000 hours a couple days ago. The new rendering looks absolutely stunning. No more cartoony characters.
WOW looks amazing, I bought it on lunch but I didn't play 'cause lack of friends to play with and now... well same situacion but looks amazing😅
Is this update worth reinstalling? I had a good time with it at launch, but the base building felt useless compared to something like Valheim, and the enemy AI needed a massive overhaul, with some really badly balanced recipes for crafting certain things, (end game food and arrows) and some of the abilities not actually affecting your character (the 2 handed weapon attack speed increase didn't actually do anything)
Does the update fix anything besides just giving a new area? AI improvements?
I bought it in spring. Played through one, may need to revisit
It's like warcraft and minecraft was together and Enshrouded is made to be what a great fun survival game is. I recommand it to anyone who wants to have a great experience of exploring, building your own bases, and alot of goals it has.
I didn't play enough of this game when it came out. Gotta check it out again.
Omg crafting straight from the magic chests… I haven’t played in six months but I think that might bring me back.
