Texas Patriot I used to think the same thing, but last year I sent out thousands of packages, pretty much half with ups and half with Fedex.
1. If you have to drop it off in person, Fedex is well more equipped, and 10x better employees, who would run out to my truck and start unloading for me.
2. Didn’t ever have a single complaint about Fedex delivering on time. UPS would deliver a day late frequently
3. UPS tracking is a joke, it doesn’t update until the Delivery date.
4. Even if we paid for the slowest shipping, Fedex would ship it that day, UPS seems to like to hold on to the package for a couple days if you pay for the cheapest shipping.
Last but not least, Fedex was about 20% cheaper.
There’s honestly a bunch of other things I could mention, but those are the main things I noticed throughout the last couple years.
@@camtwan1 I think it's just different management. If you reverse what you said that'd how it is for me. I've never had issues with UPS in my area. Nor with the tracking.

The idea was good, but way too many cuts and slomos. You can't even get a sense of the enormous speed and tremendous work, both drivers do. I would rather have liked to watch a 30 second POV of the truck driver than this...

In a real race the WRC car would leave him in the dust after 1 or 2 corners, it's exaggerated for the movie...
That's because the whole video is "faked". The truck is much slower than the car, they just filmed a few sections where they tried to stay close together and then made a video with all the cuts they had.

A vehicle that damn big shouldn't be able to do that... It's like seeing a grizzly bear on a skateboard... Sure it's vaugely the proper shape but....
That's what makes it so good though :)
That's why they didn't show it drifting on the curves. Moderate turns yes.... But the way the car would drift... Is out of bounds for that truck by laws of physics.

In Finland well at least in my area when road has 60 or 80 km/h speed limit trucks drive at least 40km/h over it
And how is that possible when trucks are limited to 89km/h. Trucks may seem speeding becouse they have calibrated speed meters
Those Dakar trucks are always a blast to watch. If you’ve never heard of it, look up the DAF “Turbo Twin” Dakar truck. Seeing that twin engine monster overtake a rally car on the open sands is, truly, a thing of beauty.

Just basic physics of trajectory. The only thing affecting height here would be the speed they left the ramp. The faster you hit it, the higher you go, mass playing no role.

Meneer de Koe Incorrect. The acceleration towards the earth is a constant 9.81m/s^2 for every ideal object (no drag or lift, etc). Mass plays no role in the height, only speed and acceleration. I can show you calculations if you'd like, but I don't want to be that nerdy if it's not necessary.

nope, he is right, you are not studing an ideal object here, an ideal object is just a point with mass. Here fluid drag from the aire, solid drag from the ground and inertia from the shape play role. In acceleration expression mass stays as a division factor ( a=(Force sum)/m ). So he can say mass limit the acceleration.

But anyway.... You can clearly see and hear that the Polo was just coasting along.

yeah, and there are many other competitions including Silk Way (these days starting and popular on TH-cam). KAMAZ-Master team announced four cars in the competition.

I read somewhere nowadays the T4 categorie is limited to a topspeed of 150km/h, but knowing how MONSTROUS that old old YAMZ kamaz was in Argentina I would not be surprised if Edward Nikolaev could get 200+ without a limiter ;)
Nikolaev says in interviev on russian TV, said that the truck is able to reach 200+ km / h

I thougth perhaps the Polo was being driven a little slowly to allow the Kamaz to be close enough but on those jumps... that was not 'being driven a little slowly'. Deeply impressive.
John Cheong the fast less tight course they were driving suited the kamaz better than polo because the kamaz could fully use its 1000whp compared to the polos 300whp

Ever heard of DAKAR? It is a rally in the dessert every January this truck compites in there this driver (Nikolaev) just becames 3 times champion in a row of truck series. Theres alsor cars, UTVS, Dritbikes and ATVs... People like Carlos Sainz, Nasser al atiya and robby gordon also compite...

On TV, a Russian Kamaz Pilot said that the transmission of his Truck does not allow him to start from a place and accelerate like a Ferrari and Lamborghini for 3 seconds to hundreds of kilometers, but after gaining speed, his KAMAZ can exceed 260 km.

Why wouldn't it be? As long as it had the proper emission controls it'd be road legal in the US as well. The trucking company I work for has a pair of HEMMT wreckers and they're road legal.
This is an official rally truck, it has to be road legal. Anyway, Kamaz trucks are the most common ones in Russia, (not this model obviously) with 1/4 the power and 1/10 the price.
