@RepairVsTheWRLD yes and no. Of course it is harder to achieve 240 hz than 60hz 4k. But on the other hand is it easier to achieve 120 on this than on a 4k. It's not necessary to have 240 hz all the time in my opinion. It's more an extra feature and is a nice to have on older games which are less demanding. 144 hz should be easy achievable with the next gpu generation later this year.
Fun fact: Samsung says on the official website of the monitor that you should buy an unknown new gpu which releases later this year to achieve 240hz ;)

The only compromises i see are the expensive price and the kinda thick monitor/external power supply. If the pannel lottery is kind to you, i dont see any other compromises.

Richard Brasliņš um the shape and size of the monitor matters too. If you want 144hz then there’s way cheaper and better options than Samsung but this sort of curvature is unique so

@@michaelk2097 Probably won't support the aspect ratio, nor it's refreshrate. It's a 32:9 240Hz panel. For example the PS4 only supports 16:9 60Hz panels. PS5 is confirmed to have 120Hz but not 240Hz (240FPS would not be possible in 90% of games). It would surprise me if the PS5 supports 21:9 let alone 32:9, there's just no-one playing with those aspect ratio's because 95% of PS users use a TV, they haven't said anything about it and if they had it they would probably say it as this would be a pretty big feature the PS4 just doesn't have.
This monitor is meant to be used with a high-end PC (hence the price tag), buying it for a PS5 would be a gigantic waste of money. You'd be better of getting an LG OLED TV.
This will only support PC. The PS5 will not run games at this resolution, refresh-rate, and aspect ratio. It also doesn't support it's features. The PS5 is powerful, but not even close enough to properly power this beast.
@SkinnyThicc Legend I literally went to school for IT for four years. This is a 32:9 monitor, the PS5 only supports 16:9 at 60hz maximum. This is a 240hz monitor. The PS5 doesn't output that. It doesn't support G-sync. That is for NVIDIA GPUs and it has an AMD GPU. And they don't support variable refresh on console. The PS5 is powerful for a console, at 10.28 teraflops. But that doesn't even compete with the current RTX 2000 GPUs on PC with 14.2 teraflops. That came out in 2018 too! The new 3000 series GPUs will be so much more powerful. Look, the PS5 is great. Play what you like, I won't hate on you. But PC is more powerful, this is factual. This monitor is made for purely PC. If you plugged this in to a console, it would stretch or show black bars if you aren't scaling it. Also, it wouldn't run at the advertised 240hz or 5120x1440p resolution. It would run at 60hz, and at some 16:9 resolution whether that be 1920x1080 or 4k. Please do not buy this monitor for your PS5, you will be wasting your money. By a quality IPS panel 4k monitor that runs at 60hz and you and your wallet will be much happier. Like I said, the PS5 is great, play on what you want. But PC is factually more powerful, and as a result can run adaptive sync, massive resolutions/aspect ratios, and all these other bundled features.

@@michaelk2097 Please listen to my comments, you will be very unhappy with the monitor if you attach it to a bad PC or a PS5. It's meant for a powerful gaming PC or workstation and will only work with them as such. By a quality IPS 4k panel, if you need some recommendations I'd be glad to help.
