I'm pretty well-versed with the SNES MSU games and some of the best applications are: Donkey Kong Country 1 Deluxe and Donkey Kong Country 2 Deluxe: These feature unique MSU variations for every single level, with the appropriate base musical piece matched up for each stage. Super Metroid Super Street Fighter II: Options to use 3DO, HD Remix, and MS Dos soundtracks, as well as the arcade version. BS F-Zero Deluxe: Again unique variations for every track across all cups along with all of the courses from BS F-Zero included. Ys III and Ys IV: Option to use Ys Perfect arrange soundtracks for each of these, which is a perfect (really, pun not intended) complement. Super Castlevania IV: In addition to the arrange soundtrack you get a full voice-over of the opening introduction sequence after the title screen. Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy VI, and Chrono Trigger all have nice MSU arrange soundtracks. That brings me to one game that you listed that was a horrible tease, and that is R-Type III. You are showing stage 1 which has an amazing rendition of that level's music, but after that and starting with the stage one boss the music is no longer from R-Type III and also not nearly as good. Why they put a different game's music over the other R-Type III levels I really don't know but it kind of makes the MSU for that game worthless in my opinion. In other words the value of these MSU versions are a case by case basis.
Awesome 😎 I grew up in the era of the SNES but my first console was the N64... So many games of the N64 I so much loved I now realize were the "follow up" of SNES games 😊
Wow the music sound amazing, I wonder how the technology roast, how can the system get all this random sounds from cd, is each sound a different track or all the the sounds loaded at the start of the stages and held in memory?
Jay, Is it just the music thats different or do the games have any sort of enhanced graphics ? Very curious to know after listening to the super mario bros 2 music and the R type III firing the beam.
La banda sonora de Final Fight guy no es otra que la versión de Mega CD.14:56🤔🤨 Podrían haber sido un poco más originales y podrían haber hecho una versión arreglada de la versión de Super Nintendo.
The GBA needs something like an MSU-1 to improve its sound quality at least, Nintendo dropped the ball with not including a dedicated sound chip in it & made it sound worse as a result.
Prefiero las bandas sonoras originales, con su sonido original. Puede que sea porque no esté acostumbrado, pero estas bandas sonoras me suenan fuera de lugar.

Yup. It's brilliant.

Some are wonderful, some aren't so wonderful. It's really a matter of choice.
Awesome 😎 I grew up in the era of the SNES but my first console was the N64... So many games of the N64 I so much loved I now realize were the "follow up" of SNES games 😊
And many of the Snes games were follow ups of Nes Games 😉
So glad I was able to snatch up all of them on archive before it went down. :(
It's back up my friend according to reports.
Loving the CD quality audio
@@meecob which was your favourite?
@@JustJamie1983 I have 30 msu's in my collection so far with SMW always being the favourite.
never gonna get trough the tough almost 70% of Secret of Mana content was dropped because of the cancellation of the snes cd!
Such a shame that was.
These games would sound like this if they were playing on the Turbo Duo. Watch PC Engine R-Type Complete video.
Yup. I have done. Pretty cool stuff. Master System with FM sounds pretty good too 😀
6:14 Wow.. no slow downs in game play.
Yup. That part is notorious.
Wow the music sound amazing, I wonder how the technology roast, how can the system get all this random sounds from cd, is each sound a different track or all the the sounds loaded at the start of the stages and held in memory?
It's held in memory. This is just a tip of the iceberg 😀

Hey there, mainly music with some exceptions to added video footage. Check out A Link to the Past.
@@JustJamie1983 Killer Instinct is pretty sweet too! They imported the videos from the arcade version. ^_^
Hola gran vídeo. Podria decirme cual es el emulador q estan usando??

Wheres the FMV for the Zelda comes?
I have no idea sorry.
The only difference I'm noticing is the soundtrack for each game
Spot on 😀
Are these musci tracks fan made or actual tracks made for the games?
I do believe it's a little bit of both.
9:54 Link can actually talk? His voice sound decent
Much better than the CD-i versions 😉
