09/29/2023. 2 years later i still hit back on this vid in my (worship guitar library) and still....needing to upgrade my pod go to a helix. Someday some way. But in the meantime DH's pod go patches are getting me through every church set. Still #1.

Update: loaded this into my Helix and instantly fell in love... This turns the Helix into a $5K pedalboard and I'm guessing like $2-3K in amps, speakers and mics... Worth WAY more than the 15 bucks it's going for now.

David I know in the world of TH-cam there is often delay in when viewers see videos. I too was a tube amp guy for many years. I have been using the HX Stomp on my board for worship now for about a year and half and I love it. My primary configuration is to use the stomp as my amp using two amp models primarily. Routing my mod effects though the stomp effects loop and my over drives through the guitar input. I use the Stomp Adriatic Delay, Cave reverb and the Compulsive Drive set to very low gain. I totally agree you with the signal chain for delay and reverb being in front of the amp. Sounds much better. I think as soon as budget will allow I want to move to the full floor Helix. Nice patches!
i just got my hx stomp, and i pulled the trigger getting the hx preset. Now my friends from other church was so amaze on the tone when i send them the recorded guitar track.

His comment regarding the Helix high frequency issue is on point. Something I've, among many/most others, have issues with are having it sound too "digital", something Kemper & Axe has over Line6. The first thing you're supposed to do when you load up any patch, especially ones stock, is to do a High Cut down to 8-9k; adjust cabs/IR high cuts down to the same as well & bring low cut to 80-90hz. Made my tones that much better.
Man this is incredible. The way you aproach the high frequencies is just awesome. Everyone that has a modeler should look and listen this video!!. Great work man!

His patches are absolutely unbelievable! I just bought my Helix a month ago and his stuff is all I use and my tone is easily comparable with the best of the best now! I would suggest everyone go buy a specific song preset because his full pedalboard preset is very complicated and not easy to mess with

Shawn Thayil Be Enthroned is incredible! I actually mostly personalized his full pedalboard patch but the Be Enthroned also sounds amazing

Ive downloaded sooo many different Helix patches now and I must add after I downloaded yours. These patches from you are so much better than any others I’ve downloaded and paid for. Best helix patches for modern worship I’ve used ever. I use a lot of worship tutorials patches and they are solid but this is on an entirely different level. HUGE fan! Keep it up man! Sounds just like the real deal!

I just purchased the board patch and the tones are great! Everything you would expect from a professional set-up and the Helix. I'm using the LT so no 10 stomp mode, but the snapshots are great and that's how I use it live anyways.

Tried this yesterday. The most mix ready patch I have tried. Even with high gain stage, tone doesn’t sound fizzy, but the high end is there.

But your IR's are phenom.
I have Tone Junkie, Celestion and 3 Sigma, which are Great but yours are by far the Best.
I use a Compressor and a 6 Band EQ external like most people.

Sounds spectacular! What you mentioned about delays is my only real frustration with the HX Stomp. My work around is typically to run the Volante or another delay into the HX Stomp and then have a delay after built inside the Stomp. You’ve really outdone yourself here, I can’t wait to grab these.

Helix may not be my flavor but if I had a strict budget this would be ideal.

This preset is making me realize how heavy bethels overdrives are. I never dialed in this heavy on pedals, but I’m warming up to it on the helix.

I bought your general Bethel preset! I would greatly appreciate a walkthrough video of that! It took me some time to realize what which button does! Because even the stompbox mode is set up to utilise more than one effect at a time! It would also be nice if you explain when you would use which effect in a song! Like what makes you choose the very dirty fuzz sound and so on! I hope my request makes sense for you and other people purchasing your DH Bethel Helix patch! Excuse my english and blessings from Germany

Thanks for putting the time and effort into providing such phenomenal user friendly tools for us guitarist and tone enthusiasts! and HAHAHA, no I did not invent the Kemper lol. I was on the Kemper train for a little bit, but tbh once the Strymon Iridium came out and you launched you IRs, I immediately couldn't justify the Kemper any longer because they wouldn't cut me a deal with my name hahah..... But for real, I couldn't justify keeping the "toaster" when I could get an even better sound out of a stomp box size for literally 1/5th of the price... BTW, I'm totally digging all of your recent tones from the album launch!!! If you ever get some time to chat, I'd love to learn some of your tips for home studio recording and mixing.

What would be really great is because you have so many block variations of patches to plug in (Drives, Delays, Reverbs), is if you could provide a reference sheet or spreadsheet of sorts of Helix blocks and settings for your more popular Bethel songs to recreate the tones that you use.

@@DavidHislop LOL - I didn't even see the song specific patch section below the main patch. So on the main Bethel patch that has the plug and play options for Drives, Delays, Reverbs etc from the other included patches, when dropping them into the main patch will all the controller assignments be retained so the modified patch will work as intended or will it lose that functionality and have to be tweaked to get it working again?

Regarding prenand post amp reverbs, you're spot on! I myself went from analog pedalboard to a FAS AX-8 which amazingly still sounds completely awesome! I had always ran all my effects directly into either the preamp section of my Fender Blues Deluxe or the Effects Return of it when i felt i wanted less coloration of the amp's pre tubes. Well, when i made the move to the digital effects, i could not grt the same satisfactory sound placing my delays and reverbs infront of the Amp Simulation. So i had to settle for adding them post. I had to decrease the amount of mix in order to get a more infront type of tone rather than super wet type of tone. But I'm finally comfy with it. Still, I'm going to try your suggestion of adding some pre and post in the same preset. Hopefully I have enough CPU 😅❤

(I know this is late.) I literally did that. And I have never regretted it once. I’m serious. I travel and lead worship and not only is it way more convenient, but IMO my tone got better and more consistent. Seriously bro, Line 6 isn’t messing around!

I just bought this but it’s telling me I am missing IR 2048. I imported everything that was suppose to import but still showing up
Got the patch yesterday! Loving it, better than anything I can put together on my helix. I'm rocking a gibson es335 so for the some of the heavier presets I'm getting a lot of feedback and muddled sounds. I'm a newbie when it comes to this stuff and was wondering what is the best course of action to fix that to suit my guitar. Do I mess with the distortion pedals or amps?

and the Patches give me error
(The IRs associated with the Following Blocks in this preset could not be found in the Impulse library Path 2A Position 1 Path 2B position 1)
Several times , everytime i shoose a preset give me errors, not find the Irs, but the IRs are in colum AC30 FAWN IR/MAIL ORDER TWIN IR/BOTTOM IR BLOCK/TOP IR BLOCK
I have the latest softwere and firmware
Hx Edit 3.60 Version with the the firmware all working fine and updated

Just got the helix patch and I’m BLOWN AWAY!!! It sounds amazing, and I’m loving the IRs 😍 Question: is the drive patch based off of the JHS Kilt?
I’m pretty sure, because that’s what he has on his main board.
Is the IR’s included in the patch for the Helix or is it Separated?
Two of my IR’s selected for the patch are included!
Yes - the drives are based on the Kilt and the fuzz is based on the blend of the Kilt v2 and Plasma that I run on my main pedalboard.
