Thanks for the amazing Helix presets and IRs. Quick question on your in-ear mix - does KT side chain compress vocals to a band bus? Brandon sound real loud and clear before the band is in, then kind of goes to the background. Or am I just hearing a compression effect with the input to the GoPro?
That is most likely the audio hitting the gopro’s limiter, but typically I like to keep vocals audible but not on top of the mix like they might be live or on an album.
Gotcha. Assuming you have the GoPro audio input setting to Line In, it’s still limiting like that? That would be unfortunate. I’d love to hear what the raw mix sounds like.

Usually I would too - but really it depends on how much I trust the rest of the team rhythmically. These guys I would trust - so less click is really, really nice as you can then hear everyone that much better. Doesn't always happen though, but it sure is nice when I don't have to drive the bus.
yeah me too, but these guys are Bethel music so I guarantee even if they lose click in their ears, they will probably stay locked in time due to their musical skill.

I feel like after you went and posted this I really want a BTS with KT to understand how she set this mix up cause this is freaking better than my FOH mix. Granted I don't have a digico but regardless.
Only real benefits to DiGiCo in this scenario are the speed of workflow, I/O, and reliability. With the same musicians, you could get a monitor mix 90% this good with pretty much anything.

Dude this is so dope! You have yourself mixed pretty low in your ears. I find if I'm mixed this low I end up picking way too hard to compensate. IEM Mix is ROCK solid, tones are out of this world, band is as tight as can be, and you guys are throwing in just enough of the live flare into the songs. I could watch this all day. Please tell me Lee also has the exact same videos coming out of his parts hahaha
Might be different on different speakers though. Inears have a different soundstage and projection compared to your phone or some other headphones/speakers.
