The road CS has the same engine and torque as Competition, and just the M4 Competition remap for the extra HP. If you don't spec the carbon brakes, this is as heavy AS THE COMPETITION despite all carbon trim which is cosmetic only. The seat base are the same, the standard steel brakes are the same, the wheels are an old recycled design, extra grip is from more expensive tyres and chassis modifications aren't as claimed. This CS warrants a premium, but not as much as BMW charge. It will hold value, but only after as big depreciation the F80 M3/M4 CS faced because none of these models are as limited and reengineered like an E46 M3 CSL. For similar status, the F80 and F87 would have cost more. Both M2 Competition and CS have carbon fenders and trunk lid available as M Performance options... and in manual, you could very well end up with a lighter Competition thanks to its non-adaptive suspension. Or buy a Competition and another car to track or daily with the difference in crazy price. At CS pricing, go Porsche.
