oh kay, I can't with BMW. They're killing the only model in the line up I actually care about.
I wish the CS was a bit lighter, like they could have stripped it out a bit more and made it cheaper and left the rest as ads, this is slightly disappointing to me a CS is supposed to be light weight focused but other than that. It's good I suppose.

@@zakrylee9918 At 75K no. Even after depreciation that's still +55K at best and a tad over what I'd consider reasonable for something like this. At best I could lease I suppose but even leasing at this point would probably be unjustifiable for me. We'll have to see.

Too expensive for the money... at that price I’d be getting a second hand 911 Carrera S, Aston Martin V8 or Nissan GTR.

Farai Nyika Next 2 Series Coupe will still be RWD, the 2 Series Grand Coupe is just a 1 Series “Sportback” if you talk Audi. At least, that’s what I’ve heard. The M2 sells so well, BMW should look to continue that formula, but do expect X-Drive like the new M3 and M4.
The new freaking BMW M2 CS is expensive as hell.
Filipolis I tell you, judging from what I see and hear online and in the real world, if the next 2 series coupe is FWD, BMW sales charts will be very sad. Normally, I don’t care about the FWD vs RWD argument, but I can’t help but care now because the M2 is one of my favourites...

I thought English weather was bad until I moved to Ireland. Irish weather is so depressing, it makes Chernobyl look like Disneyland
It’s not progressive to drift at all, once you put on opposite lock and then give bit throttle, the active rear diff kicks in and then the diff tries to pull the car straight, driver always have to make steering correction to compensate the rear diff, you can see at 7:05, not natural, not linear, but useful on the track for a good lap time, it helps you to pull the car straight earlier after the apex

You guys could always get a 124 spider, with a carbon roof even, and map the engine. Would be over 200bhp per tonne.
I’m happy with my current comp 😇 got a great deal on it and I can tune it myself to have the same power

I think it’s worth the money. Not only imo is it the best looking new car it also is going to be rare as it’s a cs it’s liveable as it does have 4 seats and it comes in a manual to keep the drivers car sense alive. But I’d definitely be pairing the M specific blue with the gold rims
Rory when would you begin reviewing serious Merc benz cars?
Only on about 5 days of the year can you get proper performance out of it. I had M4 CP, spun it’s wheels until 4th most days.
I love the F87 but I get the news G87 and is a beast car 😫
Alcantara steering wheel is very nice when it's new but after a year or so, it's just really unpleasant to look at & to touch as they never thought about how alcantara will looks & feel after few months and it's a material that ruins very quickly. I know this from my current Audi RS3 2018 and it should be only leather. Alcantara is only great on seats but never on a steering wheel.

I drove a manual M2 comp and I really didn't like it. Gearbox felt like it was made out of plastic, engine had zero character. I was really disappointed that it basically felt like a hot hatch for $50k (used).
Rory is a good chap but misinformed on the transmission. Rowing six speeds in the city is madness. My M2 has the m/DCT and it's heaven. I grew up with manuals and I don't want to bother with that anymore.

the m locking diff and the cf strut brace are in m2 comp too. didn't the reviewer drive one or didn't do some research before making the video ?

The same clips over and over...really? Of course its positive. Power you can't use is a waste. The comp doesn't even put the power down, obviously this car doesn't either. Doesn't seem like a major improvement other than adding the M parts that were long promised for the other car and never delivered! I'm talking about the roof and the hood
When you get this car, buyers were not paying more for engines but they are paying for BMW COMMERCIALS !!!🤣

£75,000 in australia is more like AU$2.5 million, houses dont come with "thic" steering wheels i guess

You're not an amateur so why make it sound this CS has a unique engine? *The Competition has the same engine and 550Nm of torque* ... it's just a kW retune! The drivetrain retune is due adaptive suspension that makes it as heavy as an M2C.
Carbon ceramics should come standard.. overall, good car

No, it shouldn’t, but, there are lots of BMW buyers out there who will, and, in three, five years time, they won’t be still worth the original price, they’ll be £40-45K, now, that’s a whole bigger audience.
BMW is cancelling the M2 after noticing that it's way better and involving drive than the beloved M3
