I stopped listening when my guy here said Vitamin K is water soluble. lmfaoooo. not even close. in fact, it's one of the only 4 fat soluble vitamins: A, D, E, K.
I don’t normally do summaries for Thomas’ videos but I’d rather have people get some info than nothing at all. 1: Okra - Vitamin K, promotes degradation of cholesterol found on a keto diet 2: Rhubarb - Anthraquinone induces bowel contractions, junction proteins build gut lining 3: Oysters - 80% DV vitamin D, 300% DV B12, 605% DV zinc in 100g, zinc promotes thyroid function 4: Artichoke - Prebiotic fiber (long chain inulin), promotes healthy gut bacteria 5: Asparagus - Prebiotic fiber, Kaempferol limits inflammatory-signaling cells in the blood stream 6: Pecorino Romano - Protein, MCT’s, CLA which promotes weight loss 7: Olives - Monounsaturated fats, antioxidants, FRIGGIN DELISH 8: Seaweed - Fucoxanthin, turns white fat into metabolically active brown fat
You ROCK! Thank you for this! What are your thoughts on seaweed? I checked the labels on 3 of the seaweed packs I have in my pantry, and they all have warnings on them.
Okra vitamin k, rhubarb, oysters&shellfish vitamin d&b12&zinc, artichoke inulin(prebiotic fiber), asparagus, pecorino Romano (goat&sheep cheese) has mct, linoleic acid good for weight loss, olives antioxidants, seaweed fucaxanthin- brown white fat which generates heat
@@LC-yv9ey I was going to say this, but you beat me to the punch! Dr. Cywes aka Carb addiction doc > Dr. Berg in my opinion. I love Dr. Berg for the info he gave me, but Dr. Berry is much more realistic and simple, and Dr. Cywes talks about a side of keto that most people don't.
I enjoy a salad with olives, radicchio, endive, and dandelion greens. Drizzle plenty of Gundry's olive oil, salt, sheep feta, and lemon juice and you have a great keto salad. Add sadines and pasture eggs for proteins and fats
Hope it's ok to put this here Thomas. Thank you 1. Okra 2. Rhubarb obviously not drowned in sugar etc. 3. Oysters (and other shellfish - scallops, shrimp) 4. Artichoke 5. Asparagus 6. Pecorino Romano- goats cheese 7. Olives 8. Seaweed

Thomas: what you’re calling “seaweed” is actually not seaweed. In Korean, it’s called kim and the technical term in English is laver. It is sea algae that is collected, dried, roasted, and salted. Koreans and Japanese wrap it around rice, usually, so maybe would work with riced cauliflower? But lots of people just enjoy it as a snack food, as you illustrated in your video. It can also be snipped into little pieces and added to nut mixes or salads. Being new to Keto, I haven’t experimented with it on a carb-free diet yet. Costco sells it (organic) in giant bags of 10 individual bags.
Ive got a nice one , Smoked Sprats, veryyyy cheap if you find a Polish shop, normally sold in quiet big packets. O carbs, Can eat the whole thing (with the head). Lots of nutrients as most fish. Great to snack on but probably at home, as can be smelly. Another cheap product to find in a Polish shop is KEFIR (not sure if ok with keto diet) very cheap there since we've had it for years, about 60p for good size bottle.
I rediscovered Rhubarb and it's actually great. As a kid we had it wild growing next to a small greek and we ate it a lot, even the leaves! Many concerned You-Tubers may tell you that the leaves are poisonous. That may be true if you would eat many pounds of them in one sitting... This is not realistic and that would also be true for 20 cups of coffee or 20 liters of water in one sitting. Back to the Rhubarb: I washed the stems, cut them in 3" long pieces, sprinkled Salt and Pepper on them , fried them in Ghee. It came out super delicious. They taste sour and I like that. But the best came next morning in the bathroom: I went 3 times that day and I felt that it took the waste out of my intestine like nothing. I don't talk about diarrhea. Good solid releases to be straight. I ate it yesterday again with the same result today.
“The presence of fucoxanthin is very dominant in brown seaweed, overshadowing other pigments (i.e., chlorophyll-a, chlorophyll-c, β-carotene, and other xanthophylls). High in Omega 3s, it can supply the same nutrients as fish… Kelp is a brown algae that is high in iodine, historically used to correct thyroid problems…“ All good for you -but apparently it depends which kind you eat whether it will contain fucoxanthin?
i ate tons of rhubarb when i was a kid at my grandmas house, however she always gave be like 50 grams of sugar to dip it in lmao... i remember it always being so sour, dont know if that's the way its suppose to taste, or if it was just not ripe. might taste good with white fish? o.O
I've usually just eaten it straight from grandma's garden, much like celery. My mom was always shocked because it was soooo tart. But I loved it. You could cook it up in compote and sweeten with a keto approved sweetener, maybe some vanilla and orange zest. Stir into a Greek yogurt?

I'm trying to learn and put what I've learnt from you into practice but there are a lot of videos out there and sometimes these info is way confusing. Thanks for your info. Shellfish can increase cholesterol; my friend was always eating shrimp, lobster, etc and had HIGH cholesterol. Help me understand how this can be good??

Hey Thomas great video, like so many of your other ones. Answered a lot of questions for me. Including one I have always wondered. How are mermaids so ripped?
I just watched a video about rhubarb and you said to stay away from it, now your saying it is one of the cleanest and eat it. I’m confused, which is it: eat or not to eat? 🤔
I am slowing getting into Keto, and loving it. Not even to lose weight. More for healthier life style, eg no more cookies and junk. Instead fatty foods that resolve my junk food cravings. However, keto does seem to be a way more expensive diet. Meat and especially shell fish are so good in taste, but so expensive. (aiming for good quality versions). I'm not complaining (just yet). But I do think after the honey moon period. that looking for cheaper solutions to lower the costs, might be needed.
I looked for a Anthraquinone suppliment, but couldn't find one. However, I found Siberian Rubarb suppleents 250 mg of 100 to 1 extract equivalent to 2500 mg. So, I wonder, does Siberian Rubarb Extract contain Anthraquinone? I'm stuck till I find out, please help?
Love TJ's stuff! I wonder if these okra chip are keto? Do you think they're too processed to be good for you? I'll look for them next time I go! Thanks for the tip! ☺️

We planted okra in garden it was a great success but it tasted terrible. Like the most kreto food. From the keto people I have a question. Why have all the blue zones a diet rich in carbs? Tell me 1 blue zone were they eat kreto. I eat already 45 years a meditatain diet and high orac diet without wine and alcohol.
It's a mystery, all right! We went to Sardinia (a Blue Zone) on vacation two years ago. I ate pasta, ice cream, 3 meals a day...which I never do at home. I lost weight on vacation! Go figure...🧐🙄
How is everyone eating rhubarb? I always stayed away from it because I heard you had to put a lot of sugar on it in order for it to taste good. Also how do you deal with artichokes easily. I don’t want to really have to work for my food too much. I want to enjoy it.
I’m confused…I just watched 7 vegetables not to eat and raw rhubarb was one of them but on this video you’re saying good for you and you didn’t say anything about raw or cooked. So is rhubarb good or not on keto?
Thank you for posting the video. That was really good. Basically I need to be eating a little bit more greens that are activating the positive bacteria in the stomach and gut.
Tom, question, they sell a fish product sea"skate", which can be cooked and taste about the same as sea scallops, not a "shell fish" but whats your take on them? (1/2 the cost of scallops.)
Hi Thomas love your content can you tell me if Seamoss and seaweed have the same benefits please we have alot in the Caribbean, and use Seamoss Alot thanks 😊

Been on keto one week not much different yet but I feeling better not weighing myself just going to by pant sizes
You only absorb so much zinc at once from whole foods. It would be very difficult to overdose on zinc with food.
I was wondering that too, but wouldn't you still need sufficient copper to balance it out?
I love okra as a snack! TJ’s sells really good okra chips and here in the south pickled okra is a staple.
Love TJ's stuff! I wonder if these okra chip are keto? Do you think they're too processed to be good for you? I'll look for them next time I go! Thanks for the tip! ☺️

Is rhubarb safe despite the caramelization that occurs during cooking?
I need to buy a noseclip and blindfold, put them on, and eat more oysters. Olives and seaweed have been a "go to" snack for me. Thanks!
How do you prepare seaweed?
@@charlesbottomly3808 I eat the dried sheets from Ocean's Halo. Wasabi flavor.
@Lost Sheep They are just so gross looking to me.
If you could only choose 5 vegetables to eat for rest of your life on lowcarb, what would these be?
I'm trying to uncomplicate my shopping basket :)
Be aware that raw rhubarb is toxic. It must be cooked to safely eat it.
I’m confused…I just watched 7 vegetables not to eat and raw rhubarb was one of them but on this video you’re saying good for you and you didn’t say anything about raw or cooked. So is rhubarb good or not on keto?
Are garlic stuffed olives OK even though they are marinated ?
Thank you for posting the video. That was really good. Basically I need to be eating a little bit more greens that are activating the positive bacteria in the stomach and gut.
I love smoked oysters, but they often are packed with cotton seed oil which i understand is not good
Tom, question, they sell a fish product sea"skate", which can be cooked and taste about the same as sea scallops, not a "shell fish" but whats your take on them? (1/2 the cost of scallops.)
Lol I'll admit I was looking at my phone once the little Thomas icon popped up and that ending had me rolling hahaha
What do you think about almond butter?
I can't eat okra. Idk what to do with it and it tastes bad... and I love rubarb, but without sugar...? 🤔
Can you do a video on olives please? Which olives, ChalkIdiki, green olives, Kalamata, Manzanilla, Castelvetrano...
Hi Thomas love your content can you tell me if Seamoss and seaweed have the same benefits please we have alot in the Caribbean, and use Seamoss Alot thanks 😊
Thomas How do you know sooo much?
And how do you remember everything?
Fantastic information as usual! I knew that’s why those mermaids looked so good!
Can I eat one slice of bread a day and still stay in ketosis?
Most seaweed snacks are cooked in sunflower oil, I cannot find any that are not in Australia, is that ok .?
