I feel like in anime they didnt explain that ppl without talent CANNOT train to get stronger. This was Hoh's floor. That's why he hated Baam. Cuz Baam has everything. Friends, power, talent etc. Thanks for reaction!
The anime changed hoh personality cause in the WEBTOON he isn’t asshole to bam he actually tries to be bams friend. They cut out the context why hoh is jealous of bam and how he conflicted with doing the note says about how to make bam fail up until the tag( hide and seek test in the WEBTOON) test. The cuts a lot Corners to get hoh to point where he is in this episode The reason why this is important because it highlights what this Hoh situation is about ( pun not intended). That of the strong can not walk with the weak or the haves can’t be friends with the have nots. This is one of many themes for TOG. In the WEBTOON Hoh gets jealous to represent this theme. He started off as bam friend but grew hate him in the end because he couldn’t stand bam getting stronger while he didn’t improve. Now you may ask why doesn’t he train to get stronger and that be true if shinsoo was a different power system but to determine your strength to use shinsoo comes down to your birth so if you aren’t born lucky with gift to control shinsoo no matter how much you train and bust your butt, those with the gift will still be stronger than you. Now you may ask then “why didn’t he get mad his other classmates like lauroe”. That has do to bam’s nativity. In the outer tower it’s normal for someone to not know about shinsoo however it’s irregular for someone not to know about shinsoo and have still have the gift to be good at it. And that’s what Bam is a irregular person in the tower. Because of that hoh grows jealous to point he starts thinking “why did god bless people with great power but took nothing from them, while blessed me with so little power and took EVERYTHING from me.” This ends up true holding for not just him but almost every regular who climbs the tower and we see this through Serena backstory ( ranker kills all her friend because he can) Hoh backstory ( giants kill his entire village, takes their horns, and eat their dead bodies because they were born stronger) that’s sad thing about tower government it’s monarchy base off the strong dominate over the weak. This why some people climb the tower so they can be rankers (strong) and not weak. So when Hoh see bam being strong all he see is another person who is strong and will use that strength to lord over the weak. Sure us as the reader and watcher know bam wouldn’t do that but that’s the thing hoh isn’t us he character that grew up in the cycle of strong lording over the weak. Which then turn his jealousy into hate makes him do the things he did the WEBTOON and the anime. Which leads him to taking his own life because he rather die on that testing floor by his own hand then die being crushed by “ that” cycle. That’s why it’s impossible for someone like bam be friends with someone like Hoh because two things will happen. 1.) they will betray him, and try to hurt him out of hate Or 2.) they get a big think they are his equal and that makes them become the strong who dominates the weak. That what this situation represents the consequences this theme is challenged. That what will have to face if he wishes to prove this theme wrong
@ Jojos Isn't Gay thanks and you’re probably still end up going to be confused because TOG is hard understand when you first read it. Like I didn’t understand what hoh represents until I watched this fan dub of the WEBTOON by dr.bonehead after reading it the first Time
13 episodes is too few for the material that they're covering and so they gloss over information and the 'flesh/atmosphere' of these scenes but im glad that people are enjoying this show regardless
Same here. I think 18-24 episodes would have been perfect for season one. I'm still enjoying it nonetheless. Maybe they will change things a little going into the next season.
season 2 will probably be split into 2-3 seasons, each having 24 episodes. that would be great, and i think they left out some stuff to encourage the anime-onlys to check out the webtoon.
It's enjoyable for Anime-only because Tog is so good that even a rushed and cut version is still decent. But if you have read the Manwha then the anime is practically a pie with no filling.
They missed one of my favorite quotes in the manhwa that helps us understand Bam's true potential. When Hoh kills himself, Quant says (or rather thinks to himself): "It's an ironic story. Throwing away what's precious, giving in to their own selfish desires to even betray their own. But the One God has chosen is a child who cries over the death of a friend... not a competitor. But if he's truly gifted, there's no way they could have continued together. No matter how small a baby shark is, it can't swim with the sardines." or in another version: "Ridiculous! They all want to go up the tower even through betrayal and abandonment. But it's ridiculous that God would choose that crying boy just because he lost a friend and not a rival. If that talent is real, he can't go with them anyway. Even if he's still a baby tiger, he can't run with the house cats." If there's something I don't like about the anime is that it's not making us see Bam's potential as much as the manhwa did. There's also this other scene that they skipped were Bam is talking with the wave controller teacher. In here, the teacher is teaching bam how to control his shinsu to make a bang (a bang is shinsu concentrated into a sphere shape). Bam tries and manages to do one and tries doing another one but it vanishes. Then Bam tells the teacher that it is very difficult. That's when the teacher tells him that it took him two years to materialize his first bang after learning to use shinsu and that people called him a genius. Then he mentions that for Bam it took him only two weeks to materialize his first bang after learning to use shinsu. Then he tells Bam that if he was considered a genius then Bam's proper nickname should be something like " Super Genius" or the "KIng of Geniuses" and that Bam's talent is something a lot of people in the tower would jealous of. Also with Hoh's backstory, I believe it wasn't that he was jealous of Bam's talent but rather that he still had something he wanted to protect. What Hoh regretted most in his life was not having the power to protect his people when they were being hurt. As a result, when he saw that Bam had both, the potential to become powerful and the person he wanted to protect stilll with him, he was angry at God for not giving him that power back when he needed to protect his loved ones. This is why I find Hoh's death very touching.
In the webtoon The ranker mentions that it took years for him to learn that technique, so him showing it to bam was just a chance he didn't think would work. Bam has crazy learning skills
I find it crazy that after 480 chapters Bam finally understood why Hoh did what he did and is currently realizing he needs to do it himself. Progression!
In the webtoon, the one who have the highest point in each class: (Fisherman-anaak) (Light bearer-khun) (Scout-shibisu) (Wave controller-laure) All of the top in each class get a free pass in the test
@@sorenman1 She still needed treatment And she lost points or didnt gain points for failing the test the same as endorsi so even if they had both being doing well before neither of them are guaranteed a place unless they were far above the others if they were endorsi wouldn't need to try and take the FM out
In the webtoon, Bam stops Quant with the right timing for Endorsi's fishing line to grab the badge. But since it needs to touch her hand first, quant charges at her at full speed and grabs her jacket. She then finishes pulling the line and takes his badge while showing that hers was hidden under her skirt.
I don't know if y'all caught it but when they were talking about who could've betrayed Hoh they briefly showed the red haired girl that Bam fucked up for trying to hurt Rachel during the crown game.
Never miss to watch your reacts every week! Pretty cool ep. Another thing , that mysterious big guy who suddenly disappeared is actually called as "Ghost" guess he's living up to his name
Bam: *copies Quant's Fast Skip technique* Quant: I know i told him to copy it, but to master it when it took me decades to master, What the hell is that guy?
Something I realized when people talk about Bam in this anime is that I found him less interesting than is webtoon version, mainly due to cut dialogue like this: "I don't understand at all. Why do we have to fight even though we don't hate each other? I don't get it. You're right Endorsi, I'm not hard enough to climb the tower by hurting others... I'm not capable of it. These people, they're the first group I've ever called friends. Everything precious to me is here. If we reach the top after stepping all over our friends, what remains for us at the top? If I have to fight, I don't want to hurt my friends over things like that." -Bam Ch 47
Also Hoh was petty, but climbing the tower was his only way to continue living. That's why he killed himself and was trying to climb the tower by any means necessary, even if he didn't have the skill for it. You can't really be mad at him but praise Endorsi when they were practically doing the same thing. Just my opinion
You missed the quick clip of the redhead girl that bam injured. I think she left the note, and knew what would happen, just like when she knew that attacking Rachel would get Bam off the thrown in the crown game.
You guys should watch AniNews TH-cam channel. He explains most of what the Anime skipped from the Webtoon without spoiling. Just so you get better context, or you can also try reading the WebToon for yourself.
the writers cut out a lot of original dialogue, and it's not spoiler related, but when endorsi told bam about how she ate cold stale bread, she asks him "how do you think i got to eat all of the dishes on the table?" and bam answers "um.. you asked if they could share?" once she beats the snot out of all the other spearbearers, bam has a pretty good idea of how she did it. actually, bam has a lot more humor and personality in the webtoons (these aren't spoilers because they were cut from the previous episode content), for example, he's the one who invites endorsi to eat with the gang, baits her into signing the friends list with food, and he also dubs the pink guy from the red doors test "neon pink plastic bag", not khun. they kinda favored giving khun more time than bam so his character is pretty much just an "adorable" face ; ;
in the manhwa, there was a part where hoh wonders why god gave bam such power while he wasn't given the power or strength to protect his loved ones. i think cutting it out of the anime didn't do justice to hoh's motives. it took away from understanding where he's coming from more in depth.
Damn the anime skipped a lot of content... They even change some scenes and characters... You guys should read the manhwa to catch up with what has been removed 😂😂😂
in the manga the ranker couldnt help cause there was other hostages, and he didnt actually believe bam would know how to do the technique cause it took him and most people over 10 years to learn any technique like that
I'm pretty sure it was the overseer(guy drinking tea when Hoh began to realize the setup) who did it. They're always giving out tests to weed out the weak and test people. Hoh I guess failed by taking the bait instead of telling bam or informing one of the game masters or something.
u guys just forget that Ho cant pass if Baam does, and being as weak mentally as he was cuz of his past experiences, having nowhere to go back if fail the Test, cuz Lauroe and Baam pass and theres is that limit of ppl passing by Class,,, i wish i could explain this better but im not good writting english
See the thing for me is they never established that Hoh could pass even if Bam DOESN'T. We only ever see him performing poorly, and while we see very little of the other potential Wave Controllers we see more shinsu than Hoh can handle being thrown around casually in the crown game so I highly doubt Hoh was ever going to pass under any circumstances. He just doesn't have the ability to fulfill the position hes most suited for, and the tower is merciless.
The reason why it's incredible for Bam to copy and flawlessly execute Quant's technique was coz the very same technique took Quant hundreds of years to master.
I don't read the manwha, but I think it's pretty clear now. Remember the reaction of the Ranker when he saw Ho taking Rachel hostage ? Some like " damn, he was right, just like he said !" and he was pissed to. Well, remember last episode when Khun whisperered something to the Ranker's hear when he was with Lauroe, right before he send him back on the bridge to face Anaak ? Now, remember the letter ? And how Khun looked at Rachel and Ho in class before the test, after Ho got the letter ? Yeeeeep, it's all making sense now :) And that theory about the giant who vanished is super interesting !! Love this show so far !!

The cuts a lot Corners to get hoh to point where he is in this episode
The reason why this is important because it highlights what this Hoh situation is about ( pun not intended).
1.) they will betray him, and try to hurt him out of hate
Or 2.) they get a big think they are his equal and that makes them become the strong who dominates the weak.
That what this situation represents the consequences this theme is challenged. That what will have to face if he wishes to prove this theme wrong
Thank you for this. I'm gonna drop the anime cuz it's confusing dogshit. Time to read the webtoon.
Thank you for commenting this.
@ Jojos Isn't Gay thanks and you’re probably still end up going to be confused because TOG is hard understand when you first read it. Like I didn’t understand what hoh represents until I watched this fan dub of the WEBTOON by dr.bonehead after reading it the first Time
This is a damn good post. Hoh deserved better. Orz
15:53 lol the guy your talking about is also called Arkyung/Ghost
I don't remember this part from the webtoon. Can you tell me why he disappeared?
Julio Kligman i don’t think that scene happened either so i’m not too sure
13 episodes is too few for the material that they're covering and so they gloss over information and the 'flesh/atmosphere' of these scenes but im glad that people are enjoying this show regardless
Same here. I think 18-24 episodes would have been perfect for season one. I'm still enjoying it nonetheless. Maybe they will change things a little going into the next season.
So this for sure can have 24 more eps?
season 2 will probably be split into 2-3 seasons, each having 24 episodes. that would be great, and i think they left out some stuff to encourage the anime-onlys to check out the webtoon.
It's enjoyable for Anime-only because Tog is so good that even a rushed and cut version is still decent. But if you have read the Manwha then the anime is practically a pie with no filling.
@@eduardocatalanlcb2462probably the right amount of eps should have been 15 eps but its very rare to a anime have this format
No matter how small a baby shark is, it can't swim with the sardines."
or in another version:
"Ridiculous! They all want to go up the tower even through betrayal and abandonment. But it's ridiculous that God would choose that crying boy just because he lost a friend and not a rival. If that talent is real, he can't go with them anyway. Even if he's still a baby tiger, he can't run with the house cats."
If there's something I don't like about the anime is that it's not making us see Bam's potential as much as the manhwa did.
It was nice to see Anaak loosening up a bit, and getting along with everyone. What a cutie!
In the webtoon The ranker mentions that it took years for him to learn that technique, so him showing it to bam was just a chance he didn't think would work.
Bam has crazy learning skills
Dude. Shura is fucking SMART. Holy fuck lmao. I shouldn't be surprised by now, but her predictions are so sharp that I still get surprised
Thank u 😊
Tower of God is a classic tale of classism and power dynamics. Things just getting started.
I find it crazy that after 480 chapters Bam finally understood why Hoh did what he did and is currently realizing he needs to do it himself. Progression!
My boa tryna get his dreads!! 😂💪🏾🔥n lmfao at the “ffffffuukkkkkk” 🤣
I clicked a little too fast and I went back in time and the video isn’t here anymore. Someone help. Also I like the new hair, Lupasan.
Lol
Believe it or not, it's actually his same old hair. He just styled it differently
Thanks!
Yes your channel and struckbybelz has the best reactions. I watch both every week religiously and yalls are the only ones I watch
The hoodie looks great, just bought the white one. Its awsome your sizes go past 3xl cant wait to put it on.
Drop that Avatar too
There were two one horned ogres in this ep. I actually forgot about Endorsi. I was thinking Hoh.
Exactly. That was the theme of the ep but it's good that you pointed it out for others to see
In the webtoon, the one who have the highest point in each class:
(Fisherman-anaak)
(Light bearer-khun)
(Scout-shibisu)
(Wave controller-laure)
All of the top in each class get a free pass in the test
thats wrong, only rak and ghost got a free pass due to throwing
the rest have to pass as normal
Flyingwithfire What He Said Was True... Even If The Team Fail, Certain zones Within The Group Still Pass
How anaak got all these points when she fell off the platform wit endorsi?
@@tjadams1166 Its because of the fact she uses Shinso to enhance herself which put her apart from the rest.
@@sorenman1
She still needed treatment
And she lost points or didnt gain points for failing the test the same as endorsi so even if they had both being doing well before neither of them are guaranteed a place unless they were far above the others if they were endorsi wouldn't need to try and take the FM out
In the webtoon, Bam stops Quant with the right timing for Endorsi's fishing line to grab the badge. But since it needs to touch her hand first, quant charges at her at full speed and grabs her jacket. She then finishes pulling the line and takes his badge while showing that hers was hidden under her skirt.
They left out massive information from the webtoon it’s understandable why your confused
*why you're confused...
They dont explain the link thing till after..
Highkey been waiting for this upload all day bro, y'all are hella funny.
Hoh realized he was against a admin and rage quitted.
😂😂 lmao
I don't know if y'all caught it but when they were talking about who could've betrayed Hoh they briefly showed the red haired girl that Bam fucked up for trying to hurt Rachel during the crown game.
Why yall gotta make me refresh at midnight, sleepy af but I need my daily dose of roshi
Never miss to watch your reacts every week! Pretty cool ep. Another thing , that mysterious big guy who suddenly disappeared is actually called as "Ghost" guess he's living up to his name
When roshi say "ma gurl"(rachel)... Damn it's hurt in my meow meow
Look at Lupasan man. So inspirational 🤩
You guys inspire me!!!!
Bam: *copies Quant's Fast Skip technique*
Quant: I know i told him to copy it, but to master it when it took me decades to master, What the hell is that guy?
Something I realized when people talk about Bam in this anime is that I found him less interesting than is webtoon version, mainly due to cut dialogue like this:
"I don't understand at all.
Are those stars that beautiful? Why would they say that something they've never seen is prettier than what they've got?
I don't get it. I don't want to hurt my friends over things like that.
I can't wait for you guys to watch this till the end.... will be really interesting.
You missed the quick clip of the redhead girl that bam injured. I think she left the note, and knew what would happen, just like when she knew that attacking Rachel would get Bam off the thrown in the crown game.
yall uploading at midnight? fuck it im here for it
You guys should watch AniNews TH-cam channel. He explains most of what the Anime skipped from the Webtoon without spoiling.
Just so you get better context, or you can also try reading the WebToon for yourself.
Welcome to the newest episode of Tower of Betrayal
Lupasan rocking the Avdol look. Nice.
In the webtoon, Rak used to refer Endorsi as tank...
I just realised why I like this anime/webtoon.
The whole thing is a tournament arc.
About to sleep, but notification gang. Cant wait to see this on lunch break tm
bro I feel that I gotta be up in 5 hours lmao
damn roshi is smart about the dude beside the rak........i didn't caught that in anime and it got me to read webtoon
the writers cut out a lot of original dialogue, and it's not spoiler related, but when endorsi told bam about how she ate cold stale bread, she asks him "how do you think i got to eat all of the dishes on the table?" and bam answers "um.. you asked if they could share?" once she beats the snot out of all the other spearbearers, bam has a pretty good idea of how she did it.
actually, bam has a lot more humor and personality in the webtoons (these aren't spoilers because they were cut from the previous episode content), for example, he's the one who invites endorsi to eat with the gang, baits her into signing the friends list with food, and he also dubs the pink guy from the red doors test "neon pink plastic bag", not khun. they kinda favored giving khun more time than bam so his character is pretty much just an "adorable" face ; ;
And calling anaak lizard when she took the BM,and trying to help hatz make friends!
Good reaction!!
10:05 'how can you share your sad backstory after you stab my girl'. He ain't ready
in the manhwa, there was a part where hoh wonders why god gave bam such power while he wasn't given the power or strength to protect his loved ones. i think cutting it out of the anime didn't do justice to hoh's motives. it took away from understanding where he's coming from more in depth.
Hearing u say Stabbed my Girl hurted me so hard haha
Damn the anime skipped a lot of content... They even change some scenes and characters...
You guys should read the manhwa to catch up with what has been removed 😂😂😂
in the manga the ranker couldnt help cause there was other hostages, and he didnt actually believe bam would know how to do the technique cause it took him and most people over 10 years to learn any technique like that
Im so suspicious about the big spear guy beside the dinosaur. Very mysterious.
Lmao as a reader this comment is mad funny lol
@@kipno7252 Dude same.
Lmao the hair
A lot of your questions are going to be answered soon. Not all, but some.
Lupasan the asian guy was not seeping tee it was insta coffe lmao
I'm pretty sure it was the overseer(guy drinking tea when Hoh began to realize the setup) who did it. They're always giving out tests to weed out the weak and test people. Hoh I guess failed by taking the bait instead of telling bam or informing one of the game masters or something.
Is it was Yu Hansung( yellow haired dude ) and Hwaryun( red haired girl ) 's plan.
Bam mastering those techniques like their nothing
This show should be renamed to The saga of Betrayals!!!!!🤣🤣🤣
Hoh: fine. I'll do it myself.
My man hoh died like his name implied 🤣
I bet season 2 will be the best season.
u guys just forget that Ho cant pass if Baam does, and being as weak mentally as he was cuz of his past experiences, having nowhere to go back if fail the Test, cuz Lauroe and Baam pass and theres is that limit of ppl passing by Class,,, i wish i could explain this better but im not good writting english
Hence starts the Tower of Betrayal.
Please tell me that Lupa is growing locs. Cuz I’ve been wanting that for so long
Aye was waiting for that upload lol
The reason why it's incredible for Bam to copy and flawlessly execute Quant's technique was coz the very same technique took Quant hundreds of years to master.
Hoh was more relateable in the manhwa
Hoh is the true definition of "Guess i'll die"
I read the whole shit but it was so long ago im still surprised by the twists.
Loving these ToG reactions :)
14:14 I know right?? The webtoon to anime was a bit rough. They cut out so much
Respect Hoh, he almost did us a favor there
I don't read the manwha, but I think it's pretty clear now.
I like how you saw these subtle moments. I just can't wait for you to watch the next episode a week later. You've done a pretty good job, so far. 👍
Is this a spoiler or did they cut this out in the anime?
@@georockmann7113
The points they made are in the anime
@@justchillaxs4017 Oh shoot, thanks man aha ! I can't waiiit !! I am for SURE reading the manwha after the season is over !
Dat boy Kodak boppin I see you
Bam learning that ranker technique is a big deal because it took Quant over 100 years to learn that
