So the anime didn’t explain it, but you need enough points to pass. It’s graded on individual and team performance, so the losing team can still have individuals pass if they have enough points/do well enough in the test. Also the amount of shinsoo Quant could use wouldn’t be able kill someone.

Remember last week how they said that if the lighthouse bearer is unconscious (or they are too far from the lighthouse), they would lose control and it would drop. Khun knew the best way for Quant to test both of these conditions was to drag him and jump off the bridge with him. He knew Quant was rash enough to do that.

Since there was some few minor changes in this episode, I'll talk about what was missing and keep it spoiler free. It's common for a good lightbearer to at least summon 1-2 lighthouse like Khun did in this. Quant was not supposed to give khun 111 seconds, but 32 mins and 13 seconds, this gave Khun enough time to adapt his plans. The rules of this game is barely explained, and the supervisor explains baang and Shinsoo in the webtoon. A lot of fighting was cut off but it's understandable considering there's a time limit. I suggest you read the webtoon after watching each episode as it is more in depth. You can stop reading if you notice where it ended in the anime. It's quite of a hassle but worth doing to avoid misunderstanding and see some action that wasn't animated but its up to you! I hope this helps and I don't mind explaining some stuff since I plan on leaving this type of comments in the future.
The lighthouse thing wasn't a mistranslation, they just changed it for the anime. Also, Roshi said he probably wasn't going to read the manwha unless season 1 had a big cliffhanger (don't spoil).
There are only a certain amount of spots per position that is allowed to pass the training floor. That's why they're collecting points through tests. Some regulars so far have shown they're so much better than the rest in their position that it's near guaranteed for them to pass, like Lauroe.

The main reason some are guaranteed to pass is because of the points they have earnt by doing well in their classes. This is kinda like an exam to show them filling the rolls in a mock battle. Hence the point rewards stated in the last episode. :) hope that helps clear any confusion up.
In the webtoon, it's stated that rookie Light Bearers can control up to 2 Lighthouses and that there is a certain range in which they control the Lighthouses without it falling but if they get too far or the Light Bearer goes too far then they fall, don't why they changed that. Also while Sheera's analysis is godly, the true test isn't that team A fails to give team B hints that was only something Khun did to make sure Bam and could pass, he knew that his other friends would be fine except for Bam. While they were taking classes in their positions they were earning points depending on how they performed and how they perform in this test. However, only a certain amount of people from each position can pass and for Wave Controllers, only 2 can pass. Lauroe is guaranteed to pass and the little girl Grey has a high chance since she is talented with Shinsu and has mostly earned a lot of points because of that, but Bam can pass if his team passes this test and performs well enough. Also at 4:58, Roshi the dude is a Ranker a normal Regular who is only on the 2nd floor would not have taken him out, yeah that Regular is strong but Quant is still a Ranker and has fought stronger opponents.
2:45 in the webtoon he gave them half an hour lol. There are also a lot of other changes like them not explaining the 3 parts of shinsu and quant being more intimidating. Overall I would say the webtoon is better and more detailed
In almost every episode so far there has been a bit of information that didn't seem important, or goes unnoticed, but later on it becomes relevant. This happens throughout the webtoon, its great.
A lot of people confused about the point system so let's explain it. Only a certain amount of people in each position can pass. There is a point system based on how they did in their individual classes and how much they standout in this joint test. There is also bonus points for the team who either catches Quant or have their 'it' escape from him.
Now out of all the wave controllers, only two can move on. Endorsi said that if Team A wins, "only the handsome Lauroe and that plain gloomy girl will pass". Thus Khun, although he was leading his team, had to ultimately make them fail so that that doesn't happen and Bam has the possibility of passing.
Thus this is what makes Khun's plan so great. He made sure his friends on Team A stood out. Shibisu playing a good bait and also being the person who held off Quant the longest, he choose Anaak out of all the fishermen to be it and she helped in tricking Quant and he and Lauroe betrayed the team at the end. So all his teammates on Team A stood out and are slated to be pretty safe.
BUT, he also left enough clues for Team B to win. Team B knows that they can't outrun Quant, they can't hide from Quant, and they also can't fight him. They know they have to trick him if they want to win.

Damn Sheera acurate af. The only thing I'll say is that Khun gave his loyalty to the list over the teams because he likes them, plain and simple. His loyalty is some true ride or die shit, you'll see as the story goes on. but i'm glad y'all finally got to see how crafty he can really be.

What really Khun did on his team as a summary: - He knew the attitude of Quant to use it to his advantage, in which he successfully outsmarts him. - He orchestrated his plan in two ways: First, for his current team to fail, in order for Bam and co. to pass. Second, to show the other team (Bam and co.) what Quant is capable of since he knew they will watch their performance (this is implied since there are moments shown in this episode that they are watching team Khun). Be prepared on sudden twists and several layers of betrayal... starting on the next episode until the season ends. But this trend of betrayal will continue on succeeding seasons.
She's probably trying to drop her competition by eliminating other Fisherman. She had only 3 points before this test started, even though Team B passed the test, Endorsi may not pass the overall test compared to other Fisherman in Team B.
The chicken pie isnt a big deal, its just conviniently adapted in the anime, in the WT it wasnt even shown what the meal is. It could be that Khun found data on Anaak Jahad or that he simply heard from Endorsi since they approached her first. Not a big deal, dont overthink it.
NO SPOILERS PLEASE READ THE WHOLE THING! Okay so here goes, they did such a shitty job communicating this test. Right after the crown game, they started a new test called the "Positions Test". This test is comprised of attending classes based on your position, and a few "mini games". Performing well in your classes earns you points, as well as clearing the mini games (Endorsi & Anaak's platform fight, this game of Tag etc. are examples of the mini games). At the end of their stay, whoever has enough points passes. Interestingly, the points you earn also act as currency. Remember when Endorsi and Anaak broke their legs and needed to "pay" for medical expenses? That was out of their points needed to pass as well (Endorsi made a comment about how the expenses will set her back). So this test does not measure combat aptitude only, but resource management as well. Rachel has been buying rotten apples and stealing Rak's chocolate bars to preserve as many points as possible, she really wants to pass. Lero Ro said the tag mini game gets you 200,000 points if you steal Quant's badge, which is enough points to pass regardless of how shitty you did before (Again in the previous episode, Endorsi perked up at this because she's broke, since she used most of her money on medical expenses...remember the food deal she struck with Bam and co?). The spear bearer instructor gave his students a mini game that gets you an automatic pass if you clear it, that is hitting the really far away target. No points required. That's why the two spear bearers that hit it (Rak and Rachel's buff teammate have passed the entire thing, regardless of points). One last thing. When they said Lauroe, Anaak, Khun etc. are "guaranteed to pass" this episode, they were referring to their points accumulated. They have enough points from doing well in classes and mini games that they're expected to pass even if they don't get many points from Tag (remember 200K from stealing Quant's badge, but also individual performance points). The studio handled this test very badly, I hope they do better in the future!
Yea Khun is a light bearer and being in the lighthouse means he can view things in real time. That’s how he could see rak pass his test, and then when he looked up anaak and saw that she was already dead, he most likely checked in on endorsi and anaak when anaak was telling endorsi about her mom and dad. That’s how he knew about the pie. So yes, he does know about anaak.
It's important to remember that this is not just a stand alone test but like the final one in the positions test in which there are meant to prove their ability to fight in positions. So those that already got enough points from the previous tests they had during their classes don't really need to work so hard on it. It is for people that dont have enough points. Also remember that when they were explaining the rules for the Tag game they said each person would be graded individually but if they managed to get their Tag out it would be 100000 extra points and if they caught Quant it would be 200000 points
So the administrators have a certain number of people from each position to pass and some regulars already have a high chance at passing spot in their position due to their position test (lauroe, shibisu), but the tag test is to see if those who are not guaranteed a chance to pass. Also, we must consider that there are more people in different positions like fisherman which is why we have not seem anyone from fisherman say that they have a high chance of passing regardless of the tag results(maybe annak but that is it). Khun had to show how good he was in his position for himself too. Sheera smart for understanding so easily.
Khun wasn't even looking at it like that, even though Sheera's analysis was killer. Khun isn't helping them because that was the test. Those are just deadass his friends. He doesn't just want to climb with Baam and Raak, he wants to climb with the whole lunch table
REMEMBER THIS. every stage of the tower is a competition that's why everybody is trying to drop the other guys to lessen the competition. you only care for your "REAL TEAM". Look at the friend list of SHIBISU, that's the gang.
I don't think that's the reason why the split the teams the way they did. BUT! Think back to episode 2 when Bam first meets Khun. Khun straight says he makes his own rules. And while the test most like was for them to try to attempt to pass with their assigned team (That's why both Lero Ro and Quant called it a betrayal) using what they learned in their positions' training, Khun didn't care about that because who he wanted to pass were the people on that friend's list. And he thought of how to make that happen.
Bam's name is 25th Bam (means 25th night, the day of the month he was born). And ignore that talk about copied lighthouse. What happened in the webtoon was that khun had 3 lighthouses. Quant broke one early one and the second was above khun's head on the bridge. So Quant says the third one is bellow the bridge with anaak on top because the light bearer has to keep the lighthouses within a certain radius to keep them floating. So jumping off with khun would lead to anaak falling with them. Also also, instead of the green april, Khun uses a special floating pulley + rope in invisible mode (that he stole from his family alongside the copying bag).
Actually their real test wasn’t to pass their real team. It’s just that the people on the paper was just the people khun wanted to climb the tower with. If you think about it, Khun did betray team A. He just didn’t care, all he wants is for his friends to pass.

Since there was some few minor changes in this episode, I'll talk about what was missing and keep it spoiler free.
It's common for a good lightbearer to at least summon 1-2 lighthouse like Khun did in this.
Quant was not supposed to give khun 111 seconds, but 32 mins and 13 seconds, this gave Khun enough time to adapt his plans.
The rules of this game is barely explained, and the supervisor explains baang and Shinsoo in the webtoon.
A lot of fighting was cut off but it's understandable considering there's a time limit.
I suggest you read the webtoon after watching each episode as it is more in depth. You can stop reading if you notice where it ended in the anime. It's quite of a hassle but worth doing to avoid misunderstanding and see some action that wasn't animated but its up to you!

The lighthouse thing wasn't a mistranslation, they just changed it for the anime. Also, Roshi said he probably wasn't going to read the manwha unless season 1 had a big cliffhanger (don't spoil).

There are only a certain amount of spots per position that is allowed to pass the training floor. That's why they're collecting points through tests. Some regulars so far have shown they're so much better than the rest in their position that it's near guaranteed for them to pass, like Lauroe.

The main reason some are guaranteed to pass is because of the points they have earnt by doing well in their classes. This is kinda like an exam to show them filling the rolls in a mock battle. Hence the point rewards stated in the last episode. :) hope that helps clear any confusion up.

In the webtoon, it's stated that rookie Light Bearers can control up to 2 Lighthouses and that there is a certain range in which they control the Lighthouses without it falling but if they get too far or the Light Bearer goes too far then they fall, don't why they changed that. Also while Sheera's analysis is godly, the true test isn't that team A fails to give team B hints that was only something Khun did to make sure Bam and could pass, he knew that his other friends would be fine except for Bam. While they were taking classes in their positions they were earning points depending on how they performed and how they perform in this test. However, only a certain amount of people from each position can pass and for Wave Controllers, only 2 can pass. Lauroe is guaranteed to pass and the little girl Grey has a high chance since she is talented with Shinsu and has mostly earned a lot of points because of that, but Bam can pass if his team passes this test and performs well enough. Also at 4:58, Roshi the dude is a Ranker a normal Regular who is only on the 2nd floor would not have taken him out, yeah that Regular is strong but Quant is still a Ranker and has fought stronger opponents.

In almost every episode so far there has been a bit of information that didn't seem important, or goes unnoticed, but later on it becomes relevant. This happens throughout the webtoon, its great.
A lot of people confused about the point system so let's explain it. Only a certain amount of people in each position can pass. There is a point system based on how they did in their individual classes and how much they standout in this joint test. There is also bonus points for the team who either catches Quant or have their 'it' escape from him.
Now out of all the wave controllers, only two can move on. Endorsi said that if Team A wins, "only the handsome Lauroe and that plain gloomy girl will pass". Thus Khun, although he was leading his team, had to ultimately make them fail so that that doesn't happen and Bam has the possibility of passing.
Thus this is what makes Khun's plan so great. He made sure his friends on Team A stood out. Shibisu playing a good bait and also being the person who held off Quant the longest, he choose Anaak out of all the fishermen to be it and she helped in tricking Quant and he and Lauroe betrayed the team at the end. So all his teammates on Team A stood out and are slated to be pretty safe.
BUT, he also left enough clues for Team B to win. Team B knows that they can't outrun Quant, they can't hide from Quant, and they also can't fight him. They know they have to trick him if they want to win.

What really Khun did on his team as a summary:
- He knew the attitude of Quant to use it to his advantage, in which he successfully outsmarts him.
- He orchestrated his plan in two ways: First, for his current team to fail, in order for Bam and co. to pass. Second, to show the other team (Bam and co.) what Quant is capable of since he knew they will watch their performance (this is implied since there are moments shown in this episode that they are watching team Khun).
Be prepared on sudden twists and several layers of betrayal... starting on the next episode until the season ends. But this trend of betrayal will continue on succeeding seasons.
She's probably trying to drop her competition by eliminating other Fisherman. She had only 3 points before this test started, even though Team B passed the test, Endorsi may not pass the overall test compared to other Fisherman in Team B.

The chicken pie isnt a big deal, its just conviniently adapted in the anime, in the WT it wasnt even shown what the meal is.
It could be that Khun found data on Anaak Jahad or that he simply heard from Endorsi since they approached her first. Not a big deal, dont overthink it.

Okay so here goes, they did such a shitty job communicating this test.
Right after the crown game, they started a new test called the "Positions Test". This test is comprised of attending classes based on your position, and a few "mini games". Performing well in your classes earns you points, as well as clearing the mini games (Endorsi & Anaak's platform fight, this game of Tag etc. are examples of the mini games). At the end of their stay, whoever has enough points passes.
Interestingly, the points you earn also act as currency. Remember when Endorsi and Anaak broke their legs and needed to "pay" for medical expenses? That was out of their points needed to pass as well (Endorsi made a comment about how the expenses will set her back). So this test does not measure combat aptitude only, but resource management as well. Rachel has been buying rotten apples and stealing Rak's chocolate bars to preserve as many points as possible, she really wants to pass.
Lero Ro said the tag mini game gets you 200,000 points if you steal Quant's badge, which is enough points to pass regardless of how shitty you did before (Again in the previous episode, Endorsi perked up at this because she's broke, since she used most of her money on medical expenses...remember the food deal she struck with Bam and co?).
The spear bearer instructor gave his students a mini game that gets you an automatic pass if you clear it, that is hitting the really far away target. No points required. That's why the two spear bearers that hit it (Rak and Rachel's buff teammate have passed the entire thing, regardless of points).
One last thing. When they said Lauroe, Anaak, Khun etc. are "guaranteed to pass" this episode, they were referring to their points accumulated. They have enough points from doing well in classes and mini games that they're expected to pass even if they don't get many points from Tag (remember 200K from stealing Quant's badge, but also individual performance points).
The studio handled this test very badly, I hope they do better in the future!

Yea Khun is a light bearer and being in the lighthouse means he can view things in real time. That’s how he could see rak pass his test, and then when he looked up anaak and saw that she was already dead, he most likely checked in on endorsi and anaak when anaak was telling endorsi about her mom and dad. That’s how he knew about the pie. So yes, he does know about anaak.
It's important to remember that this is not just a stand alone test but like the final one in the positions test in which there are meant to prove their ability to fight in positions.
So those that already got enough points from the previous tests they had during their classes don't really need to work so hard on it. It is for people that dont have enough points.
Also remember that when they were explaining the rules for the Tag game they said each person would be graded individually but if they managed to get their Tag out it would be 100000 extra points and if they caught Quant it would be 200000 points
So the administrators have a certain number of people from each position to pass and some regulars already have a high chance at passing spot in their position due to their position test (lauroe, shibisu), but the tag test is to see if those who are not guaranteed a chance to pass. Also, we must consider that there are more people in different positions like fisherman which is why we have not seem anyone from fisherman say that they have a high chance of passing regardless of the tag results(maybe annak but that is it). Khun had to show how good he was in his position for himself too. Sheera smart for understanding so easily.
I can not wait for these last 5 episodes this season. Shit is gonna go down and we need a season 2 (24 eps) confirmation after this
Khun wasn't even looking at it like that, even though Sheera's analysis was killer. Khun isn't helping them because that was the test. Those are just deadass his friends. He doesn't just want to climb with Baam and Raak, he wants to climb with the whole lunch table

I don't think that's the reason why the split the teams the way they did. BUT! Think back to episode 2 when Bam first meets Khun. Khun straight says he makes his own rules. And while the test most like was for them to try to attempt to pass with their assigned team (That's why both Lero Ro and Quant called it a betrayal) using what they learned in their positions' training, Khun didn't care about that because who he wanted to pass were the people on that friend's list. And he thought of how to make that happen.
Bam's name is 25th Bam (means 25th night, the day of the month he was born). And ignore that talk about copied lighthouse. What happened in the webtoon was that khun had 3 lighthouses. Quant broke one early one and the second was above khun's head on the bridge. So Quant says the third one is bellow the bridge with anaak on top because the light bearer has to keep the lighthouses within a certain radius to keep them floating. So jumping off with khun would lead to anaak falling with them. Also also, instead of the green april, Khun uses a special floating pulley + rope in invisible mode (that he stole from his family alongside the copying bag).
Actually their real test wasn’t to pass their real team. It’s just that the people on the paper was just the people khun wanted to climb the tower with. If you think about it, Khun did betray team A. He just didn’t care, all he wants is for his friends to pass.

Bruh, quarantine got me acting different. I didn't wanna wait for episode nine so I started reading the webcomic, and somehow i'm on chapter 161.
Bams name means night in Korean (bam is yoru in Japanese) and it's a reference to the day he was born, 25th bam means the 25th night. I'm assuming it's a religious reference. Bam also means Chestnut which is why the admin said he looks tasty. Hope this helps
