Minor point: Baam is an irregular because he let himself in; regulars are invited into the tower or came from within. A regular is playing by the towers rules, an irregular is special because they can make the rules(similar to the administrators who control the whole of their floor including tests, shinsu flow, door to the next floor, etc). Just being from outside the tower doesn't make you an irregular, you have to get in by forcing the tower to open the way in for you.
I don't understand the plot that much but correct me if I'm wrong. At the time the tower took Rachel in, bam was the only one else there. But the first administrator person told Rachel that the tower didn't choose her. It was opening for bam. So what technically makes bam an irregular?

This is just a misconception that's been around for a really long time now. Rachel lacks the ability to break spells and fuck with the rules the way Baam does (because the Tower didn't choose her / she didn't open the doors), but she's still classified as an Irregular simply because she's from outside the Tower. Literally the only meaning of "Irregular" in ToG is "being from outside the Tower", the word is never used to mean anything else. "Regular", on the other hand, is more complicated, because you can be from the Tower and therefore subject to all of its rules without being a Regular, say if you're a Ranker, a Guide or just a resident of one of the floors, but you can also be from outside the Tower and still be a Regular, like Baam and Rachel (and Urek, before he became a ranker), as long as you're participating in the Administrators' tests and climbing the Tower. TL;DR: "Irregular" means you're from outside the Tower. "Regular" means you're climbing the Tower the normal way. They are not opposites, they are not mutually exclusive, all of that is years-old fanbase-wide headcanon. (and also in-universe propaganda against Irregulars, hence the name)
The hate for Rachel the moment skme starts talking about TOG being unanimous is hilarious at times, reminds me of that scene where Thor is like : "So long as we all agree". By the way I stopped reading at Chapter 400 I think.

The series was massive in the west when it started releasing and was pretty damn popular for a good long time. But as it has been releasing chapters for almost a decade now its popularity slowly began to dip. This was legitimately one of the biggest webtoons in existence. The only reason why it wasn't "bigger" is because at the time webtoons were in a weird niche at the time.
Oh right, forgot to mention that decade isn't including the period before it was actually officially translated. As I recall, there were fantranslations a little bit before that, then Naver wound up hosting it for a bit on a separate site before it wound up being taken up by webtoon.

Ive been reading since early season 2, so ive watched its popularity spread, or rather, manwha in general began to spread. Because of its unique feel compared to Japanese manga. I know it wasnt small in Korea but manwha in general has been slowly blowing up over time.

And the fact we only know of 134 floors - The family leaders - FUG - Bams growth as a character and how Rachel is like the literal opposite of him - Guides , Certain positions Literally SO much and even if we don’t cover more informational topics there’s still just discussing the arcs in TOG that could be cool as well getting through Hell Train would take at least half an hour 💀

Okay...The detailed analysis of this power system sold me. Legit the manwha rivals fucking one piece no joke. How well the side characters are, how deep the world is, the factions and powers trying to fight for control, the politics between the factions and so forth.
This season is hella under rated. Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest is fire, Tower of God season 2 is awesome, Elusive Samurai is fun af and going to be really good, MHA is MHA, and Wistoria is ok its a slightly more serious Mashel if you enjoy that trope. Over all it's a decent season, but fall season about to hit different. >.>

S2 feels pretty slow but believe me it picks up big time. Each character that was randomly intruduced as apart of Bam's team plays a significant role, and they eventually really grow on you. The Manhwa is insane.
For clean animation check out Wistoria wand and sword anime it's got very common character troupes and similar shonen story & another Harry Potter magic users anime, but great animation in just 4 episodes😮
At this point you and danny are the only reason im hearing about a bunch of anime so if your saying its good I'll go binge it real quick. It'll be nice not being confused about the powers in the beginning too.

TOG is my fav series of all time. Its very underrated in the west so any spotlight to it is very appreciated.
