"Stairway To Heaven" is more than THE antheme of the whole Rock History. It's THE revelation at all. Now you have given them your souls and they'll never give them you back.
Led Zeppelin: Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and John Bonham. Legends to the "rabbit hole" of LZ!😊 Each of them are GOATS in rock music! "Stairway to Heaven" was, and still is for me greatest song in the category of rock ballads! Whole lotta love, Dazed and confused, Since i've been loving you, Kashmir, Moby dick, Black dog, Rock and roll...etc. This is just few of the masterpieces by Led Zeppelin that i strongly recommend! Anyway, i am from Serbia 🇷🇸, and i love your reaction!💓💓💓
The woman was in the material and she was on journey of discover. The guitar solo is her epiphany of understanding the spiritual. Now she know the true stairway to heaven.
When I can take journeys to Zeppsville through No Quarter, Achilles Last Stand, In My Time of Dying, The Lemon Song, 4 Sticks, Out On The Tlles, The Rain The Rover, The Levee, no matter how many more times, I get happy and inspired. There is no quantitative way to know how somebody or a group is rated or whether they're overrated, but the good news to me is I really don't care, they kick a$$ and we're phenomenally phenomenal.
This is their song, they wrote it & of course preformed it & do the greatest job with it. Greatest band ever, & everything they do is absolutely amazing. Heart did an amazing job preforming it, with the son of this late drummer. Each of these geniuses are the GOAT of their craft, together they are THE GODS OF MUSIC! Robert Plant lead singer harmonica tambourine * Jimmy Page lead guitarist band founder producer & mixer * John Paul Jones (JPJ) bass guitar keyboards mandolin etc. * John (Bonzo) Bonham on drums. The band was together from August 19,1968 until September (1980) when drummer John (Bonzo) Bonham sadly passed away.
One of my all time favorite Led Zeppelin songs, and one of my all time favorite bands. Stairway to Heaven is a spiritual song, and the beautiful, poetic lyrics are open ended (meant to be interpreted by the listener.) When making this song, LZ wanted it to gradually build up to an epic ending as opposed to making a song with the usual sudden rhythm and tempo changes. Robert Plant in live performances sometimes treads the fine line between singing and talking. In my opinion it's an effective way to tell a story. He's fabulous at expressing emotion by using creative vocal sounds in the right time and place.
Definitely the most polished rock band of all time. Music, lyrics, composition, instrumentation, and pure art. Definitely # 1 in all that measure. And this song is definitely the greatest rock song of all time.
The studio version is the one to listen to. It is one of the great productions in rock history that captures the essence of the song. Live versions should be listened to after you are familiar with the "real" version.
Shoulda listened to the studio recording before checking out any live version. The studio recording is one of the greatest achievements in audio recording history. (not that it maters to anybody, but) I'm gonna skip this one, and if you do a reaction to the studio recording, I certainly will watch that one. The studio recording of this song (and also, the studio recording of Led Zeppelin's "Since I've Been Loving You") will touch your soul like no other songs you've ever experienced. Peace
Both this track and "Since I've Been Loving You" also Live at Madison Square Gardens are just epic. The only other live guitar solo in the same stratosphere is Pink Floyd "Comfortably Numb" Live Pulse Concert.
Pink Floyd got everything going for them. Mastery. Especially "Dark Side of the Moon"... greatest album anyone ever did. Or ever will. Throughout the galaxy.
I'm attached to the original since I was a teen when it was released. Understood to be the best band ever in my generation by many. If you want to go off on a tangent react to the tribute to Led Zeppelin by Heart at the Kennedy Centre. Heart does a beautiful version of this song with the remaining members watching on.
BTW don't ever underestimate YOUTH if you want your jaw dropped, socks blown off and head exploded 15yo Tina S plays Beethovens "Moonlight Sonata" or 15yo Tina S plays Dragon Force "Through the Fire and Flames" Keep in mind she was only 15 so if you pick up on a couple of mistakes give the kid a break😂
@@markpocock7335 out of the live versions my favorite is the one they recorded for the BBC. There's also a good one from Toronto in 71 I believe that was pretty good. But the BBC recording is my favorite in terms of the live.
Are they overrated ?--maybe, decide by yourself, but anyway, the point remains: all are accomplished musicians that can do amazing things with their respective instruments, and Robert Plant is a great storyteller and uses his voice as a musical instrument. If you want to know a bit more about how the drum track is complicated, watch this little video: th-cam.com/video/UvOm2oZRQIk/w-d-xo.html Have a nice day.
You just watched the greatest guitarist ever lead the greatest rock band ever through the greatest rock song ever.
Young lady you said this was a true masterpiece. It is a true masterpiece but they have a lot of true masterpieces.

I suggest from the same concert the song Since I’ve Been Lovin’ You - Madison Square Garden , 1973.
