They actually released their Albums to promote their Tours...instead of touring to support their Albums. TOTALLY the opposite of every other Band. They felt that seeing them play live was the best way to hear their music, which is why they never wanted to release any singles. They only did release singles because of major pressure from their record label.

Your responses and experiences with these songs gives me hope and an unbelievable amount of joy. You know how to interpret music and you are open to music’s pure influence on the soul. This is why people tune into your channel, not everyone has the gifts towards music that you possess. I am so proud to call you my Brother!

According to Page, he designed this song to be like a lotus flower slowly opening up.. starting ever so softly and slowly and then gradually increasing the tempo and intensity.. never has their been a song like this that incrementaly increases in tempo..

This is the power of Led Zeppelin. I have been listening to them for decades and they make such great music.

This is probably the best live version, but the studio version of this song can’t be beat.
You get it, Man. You just get it.

In my humble opinion I suggest that if you are going to listen to a song for the first time you listen to the original studio song first and then live versions ✌

Not necesserily. For Stairway, I'd usually recommend the live version because it's the essence of how they perform it and their personalities come out. Best way to be introduced to Led zepp imo

Same here. After hearing the technical and rythmical perfection of the studio version, you get to properly enjoy the emotion of the live performance.

The original is absolutely the way to go, I am pretty confused as to why he chose to jump on the live first, especially when its such a massive classic, but anyway.

@@plamenvelyov4605 People are reacting to live versions because of the copyright implications on TH-cam. Led Zeppelin, or their representatives, will have the video blocked or pulled down if you used the commercial studio version. Which is kind of silly, because they also sell DVD's of the live version. If people like your stuff....they will buy it !

In this performance right before your video started Robert Plant says," This is a song of hope." You were right on.

I love your reactions to the songs that were already hard rock classics when I was in middle and high school (1980s)!!!!
It makes me smile to see you discovering this for the first time, and makes me remember how I felt the first time I heard it.

I saw them in 1970 when they first played this song, and the album didn't come out for 6 months. I was so blown away and it was frustrating to try and explain to my friends how epic this song was. When the album came out. I played it so many times, I thought I'd put a hole in the record
