I’ve had mine since 2015 and it’s been my main carry along with my S&W 66-2 snub. But I’m also retired and don’t go out much. FYI you’re flinching like mad when you shoot an empty chamber.

I enjoyed all three of your videos on the Tisas 9mm 1911 Stingray Carry. I did have a question: How difficult is it to rack the slide (when trigger is not cocked back)?

2A, I've been tinkering and rebuilding 1911s since Jimmah Cahtah was pretending to be president. Your extractor tension is too tight. I'd swap in an Ed Brown. which comes with the proper bevels etc. already done. I bet your function problems would vanish once that is corrected.

Seeing people have problems with any brand of firearms definitely saddens me. I own one Sig it’s the 365xl ran Blazer,Sellier & Bellot Winchester, plus some hollow points ( had them in a plastic bag so I don’t know the brand) probably a total of 1000 rounds so far not one issue. Quick disclaimer I do clean every one of my firearms after use i believe if any tool I use I need to keep it in good condition. Give us an update.

From what I’ve seen from Henry, the only way I would have one is if they sent me one for free, with 100 rounds of ammunition. The customer service may be good, but what’s the point if you’re having to use it all the time! I constantly hear of people having to send their Henrys back for some defect that should never have left the factory.

There is one thing I have not seen mentioned regarding beveled magazine wells on 1911s. Beveling magazine wells can assist in reloading the pistol, but the non beveled magazine, INHO, is better because any debris on the magazine will be scraped off during insertion. The beveled magazine well can allow dirt or sand to be jammed into the well which could impede insertion. FWIW

I’ve got a model 583.13 from 1946. I bought it 5 years ago. Gave it to my grandfather a year or so prior to him passing away because he was also born in 1946 so it was a fun little gift. I got it back before I was able to take him shooting

I’ve had Hornady Critical Defense hang up on the feed ramp in several calibers. The rubber insert sticks out too far on some rounds. Never heard anything bad about RIA 1911’s. I’ve owned several and wish I hadn’t sold the last one. Solid, accurate guns all. Great video sir.

I have a Henry long ranger 243. Since 2018. Definitely something wrong with it. It shoots VERY LOW at close range with open sights. With vortex or Leupold 3x9x40 scopes, quality rings, it’s on paper at 100yards, but the groups are wide open and once the barrel warms up you may as well give up.

Failure to feed? The hammer never dropped. Was the grip safety depressed all the way?

I also have a Tisas Stingray in 9x19. It's been my EDC gun for a year now. Never burps, always goes BANG. YEEEEEEE- HAW!

I have 2 of them , one with a full choke barrel and one is modified, the full choke was my dads and the other was my uncle's, I received it in 2016 when My uncle passed away. My dad gave me his when I was 15 , I'm your age. Hunted many years with it , fun to shoot.

I love my TISAs M1911a1 tank commander. Shoots as well my Colt commanders . Question.... Cerekote finish or not? Very concerned about finish wear/ rust carrying for EDC. I recently carried my colt l ight weight officer made in the 1990s for 4 days in a compressive t shirt holster. Signifient wear on the BS parkerized finish and rust on the hammer. June in northern Michigan high @ 80 degrees . Please respond with advice/eval. Thanks!

How did you get the foregrip fastened? It doesn't seem on mine that it would take anything on the bottom of the forend.

Thank you for the video sir been considering the Tisas as range/tinkering option. I do a lot of studies before purchasing and I appreciate the info you provided here. Seems like the Tisas just needs a bit of a break in period but the Wilson Combat mags might be the way to go with this here budget 1911.

Its funny how those Remingtons thunder bolts ang golden bullets work so well in my GSG 1911 22, ive done all the same upgrades to mine and it works great.

I have a Springfield 9mm 1911 "Loaded" I bought new in 2014 and it took a good 500 rounds to break it in. I lube it well so it runs pretty wet. That helps. My Colt Gov't Model .45 auto shoots better but its slide has a little play. I think Springfield's clearances are tighter, which explains the reason it needed a break in.

As a 68 yrs old new to shooting i bought a Kimber Mako 9 as my first gun and have been quickly making up for lost time. I never thought about firearms one way or the other but became an owner after getting sick of the 2A criticism. I recently bought a Tisas Tanker 1911 45cal, and I'm very impressed with the quality of a sub $400 1911. I subbed.

I just picked up the mini bul version for $299 which I felt was pretty cheap for a Browning. I look forward to shooting it. My initial foray into 22s was with the Walther ppq 22 which was a pleasant surprise at the range. I hope the Buckmark does likewise.

I've got 2 with the tandem kross stainless parts and they both cycle standard velocity and upwards with no problems. I use them at the range with no problems whatsoever. I do clean them after each outing. Takes about 50-100 rounds to run in....use fine machine oil (singer)

The Mecgar mags don’t hold the ammo, jhp, with the tip up so have difficulty feeding. Have had good results with Colt, Wilson Combat mags with metal followers that hold the ammo tips up more than the Mecgars. Compare the loaded mags for tip position and you’ll be convinced.
