Specs and Info
Platform: Steam Deck
OS: Linux
Series: Sonic The Hedgehog/Fan game
Controller used: Xbox/Steam Deck Ps4/5 is possible.
Recording Software: GPU Screen Recorder and InShot on Samsung S23+ Ultra
Proton GE was needed for Steam on Game mode.
In Game settings
Windowed for recording
Resolution: 1280x720p
Anti Aliasing: Off
Vsync: On
Everything is was on low except Texture quality to keep performance close 60 with minor drops.
Editing and gameplay was done by me.
Music in the beginning was Henny Head (Slowed And Reverb) by Karma Keyz

I did everything in the video exactly and it doesn't boot up when i hit play
Hey! I'm kind of stuck trying to get mods working for Sonic 06 and Sonic Heroes widescreen on the Steam Deck. Could you maybe put together a tutorial? It would seriously make my day, and probably a bunch of others too! If Possible.
I haven't tested Heroes on pc, but give me a couple of days, and I'll get to it asap.
but can you mod the game using the p 06 mod loader????

With proton GE I got the intro cutscene mostly working, but without sound. Not really a big issue, but out of curiosity, did you find a fix for that?
The newest update was supposed to fix it cause I didn't have the issue.

I set everything up like it's shown in the video, but it's not letting me play for some reason.
Sorry for the late reply but everything worked fine for me even when I added the game to Steam a second time. Did you change your compatibility to proton ge by any chance?
I ran the game on Proton, but nothing has shown up.
@@ghouldash9761 I'm not sure what else could be the issue. I used both proton and proton ge and the only difference was graphical issues on base proton but still worked. If you're not already you can hop in my discord and I'll do my best to assist you in there.

How to setup gpu screen recorder, on steam deck
Sorry for the late reply but if you haven't already figured it out just download it from the Discover Store, when installed select whichever source you plan to record on in the record area ex: if you're recording a Fullscreen gameplay on the monitor select your monitor. Select whatever framerate you choose I prefer 60. When you're ready to record just hit start recording and make sure you put your files in a place you'll remember and select mp4 in container. I haven't tried to stream on there so you might have to mess around but it looks easy to setup and that's it.
