In this movie scene Elvis was supposed to do a Broadway type of chorégraphed dancing but he didn't feel comfortable with it. He asked to dance in his own way . The chorégrapher then put a few of his songs in rehearsal and asked him to dance the way he likes. After 3 songs he had the perfect choreography.
