It’s creepy to some, and I get it, but if that’s what people like, let ‘em! I like EP! He’s the biggest cultural icon in American history, aside from Marilyn Monroe, Muhammad Ali, Michael Jordan, and Michael Jackson. Those five are on the Mount Rushmore of American fame.

@@imtheboss1826 Maybe one example might be back in the fifties he came to visit some of his family in my home town in Southeast Missouri. Elvis knocked on our church door and gave our pastor a check for 5,000 dollars. That was in the poorest County in the whole state of Missouri. The people never forgot that, and they're not even Elvis fans. In today's money it would be about 50,000 dollars now. He had such a big heart for the poor. He never forgot where he came from. I think the good he did outweighed the bad. Even before he was famous he would come into town visiting his grandma, and always would encourage the kids to be good and stay in school. The towns folk kids are all old now, but they never forgot how Elvis helped and inspired them.

The greats are always remembered. It’s 2022 and once people get to teenage years even if they don’t like that kind of music they know about and have heard Elvis,MJ etc. Even going back further like Mozart. Completely different time but it’s ingrained in culture & us humans we know a great song when we hear it regardless of time passed. Also the greats performed so well Iive. Love they Elvis payed so much homage & respect to black musicians for inspiring him for his sound. For me music is the best thing about life. It’s their for you when your with people you love & care for, or if you feel like you have nobody and feel all alone. Name your favourites people.

I love Elvis and always have and I can say that without a shadow of a doubt because I was listening to Elvis when I was still in the womb!, bounced by older brothers and sisters knees to his songs as well as many others of the Rock and Roll era. I could do Elvis songs when I was a teenager and can still do many of the songs in his voice. Elvis was only here for 42 years way too short of time! What he had beyond the obvious was a love for his audience, and they knew it. They trusted him and he trusted them. Add the sheer megawatt talent, the total lack of pretension and the gentle nature and you have a once-in-ten lifetimes star that is burning brightly a half century past his death. It was all just meant to be.

It’s incredible that such a beautiful, brilliant, intelligent, talented, charismatic, seductive, sexy and revolutionary man for his time thought like that!!
