John Travolta doesn’t get enough respect. Dude is an absolute legend.
Absolutely...totally the best EVER !!
Just bat shit crazy now
Hmmmmphh ....I got to go dance....Tony yeh!
OMG I didn’t remember that crap about getting an Abortion?? Hell NO..!! That just destroyed the movie for me. All the kids watching that shit years ago ,,, ugh 😱
The Man demands $20 Million every time he does a flick and you think he doesn't get enough respect?
The body, the hips, the moves, the face . . . damn, Travolta was a dime piece back in the day. Insane charisma, too.
yeah he was
Anyone wishing these discos existed now?
I do. That was the era at my age! 🕺🕺🕺
Someone should bring them back; I danced @ discos back then & it was so much fun & great exercise! 🎉
Me!
Yes!
100 % !!!! Bring Them Back A.S.A.P.
I did this entire sequence for the school talent show when I was in grade 5!!! I remember studying this dance endlessly!! Honest to say the school went crazy when I performed!!! Still one of the proudest moments of my life!! Tony Manero Forever!!
Im sure that happened and everyone clapped LOL
Love to see someone do it now!
@@jaygrayson6230 It was the highlight of his life.
@@prettygirlus9008 Still better than your life all together
I used to try ,did not succeeded but kept trying still every night at the disco.
One of the most iconic scenes in movie history.
This cat danced better than the brothers. John is really cooking in this clip.
Absolutely
The guy talking about his girlfriend liking communion waifers?
Like Jake Ryan at the church. Or Sandy and Danny on the Tilt A Whirl
Apparently the film producer's wanted to cut this dance scene from the movie Saturday night fever but John insisted that it should remain in the movie ....true fact..... 😊👍😁
What a classic. John Travolta sure had the moves. It never gets old watching this classic scene.
As awesome as John Travolta’s dancing is in Saturday Nighr Fever, I think his dancing was even better in Grease.
@@juliuscepeda9655 I never saw Grease. Unusual, but true.
Yes.
♥️ Saturday night ever 🎬 movies
He could sing too. Started off as a singer, he was border line a will smith of the 70s. Was a singer but turned out his acting was even better.
John Travolta must be the greatest actor who can legitimately dance on screen and make it look flawless. Saturday night fever, Grease & Pulp fiction. This guy is a legend.
and even Urban Cowboy.
And Michael
No. Not.
Kevin Bacon.
Patrick Swayze could
the world needs more light up dancefloors
Fun fact: Despite Travolta having intensely trained for months with the choreographer for this dance, the film’s director & editor had this scene showing only John’s face! 😮 When John saw that, he absolutely insisted that they redo the film to show the complete dance sequence in all its glory. So we have this iconic dance scene thanks to Travolta’s tough demand. 🎉😊
Ugh. If Patrick swayze or Hugh Jackman were to do this, travolta would look like Chris Farley next to them.
@@prism8289 Different styles. Patrick Swayze was classically trained.
@@joanneperlmutter2038 exactly. Training. It works.

So
Back in the 70-80's when you could be a nobody by day and a star at the local disco by night.
My father would tell me this was exactly his life when he came back from Vietnam he was a disco dance instructor. I didn't believe him for the longest time until I saw him tear up the dance floor with my mother and his friends told me the exact same stories
I love disco! I don’t know why it gets such a bad rap. It is so much fun. I was 23 when this movie came out. On Friday nights I’d slip on my stilettos and my knit wrap dress and be on the dance floor until Donna Summer sang “Last Dance”.
I love how when he’s finished, everyone hits the floor hard, as they had just witnessed something so inspirational they simply couldn’t restrain themselves any longer.
Dude uses up the whole song before everyone else can jump in ha
@@MrDogfish83that's the way it was on the dancefloor. Best dancer, ger out of my way.

Making film history.
some disco !!!! 🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻
Sadly, the irony is that during the filming of this movie, his girlfriend was dying from cancer.😢
@UrvineSpiegel wrong film tag line lol! "Time of My Life" is from Dirty Dancing.....
Travolta remains an astonishing talent as an actor as well as a dancer. Very underrated.
Just underrated for people who are clueless
He's a meh actor at best as was his dancing. Way overrated. Half time just stands there looking like a goof.
I freaking love this scene...wish clubs were still like this🎉
45 years later and it's still amazing.
@@MagicMikey1 oh really well let's see you perform this dance routine and give everyone a right 😁😁😁😁 on you tube 😃😃😃

A little FYI just in case you didn't know...that woman he was dancing with before he started his solo....Actress Fran Drescher !
@@jupitergrls As someone who has recently started viewing and enjoying The Nanny, I just learned that fact, love her Fran!
Travolta’s dancing is cool in all his movies, no matter what age he did it because He is Cool, and knows how to move 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
It is near the end of 2023 and this iconic scene excites me just as it did in 1977.
Eramos tan flaquitos!!!!!!!!!!!!GEnial los 70!!!!!!
Imagine if you dance like this now
I would absolutely love to know how
You'd be cool.
Some clasic
Why imagine 😉🕺🏻
Would be useful in weddings
If you got to grow up in the 50's through the 90's it was a golden era that will never be repeated with all the classic movies & music, YOU were blessed!
After 200 years from now people will still b talking about the 70's but not the time' after end of 1980
90's was awesome to go out. Early 90's was a melting pot of the last 20 years so we had it all. Rock, disco, techno, house and electro even. Wasn't jealous of the 70's and definitely not the 80's, it's after 2001 that everything became boiled down to nothing.
yes so very true ... Tony Moreno was an icon ... Opening credits Saturday Night Fever with Staying Alive was one of the best opening credits ever
I completely agree with you. It was a privilege to grow up back then. Sure, the clothes were pretty terrible, but the music (Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Doobie Brothers, Three Dog Night, The Bee Gees, The Stones, Bowie, etc), the dancing and a sense of connection with other people that doesn’t exist now was fantastic.
@@Linerwood2000 Yes, you are right and I changed the post to the 90's because when you really look at it most of the 1900's were the explosion for everything, once we cross the year 2000 things start going down.
This is era I grew up in..guys could really dance then..peacocking..lol..still love to dance..😎🌠🔥🔥
Times will never have this era innocence. What happened to society today? 😭 no more fun clubs. Music stinks. Girls artists are so hard and pornish, not soft and feminine anymore like Vanity, Jewel, Robert Palmer background dancers 🤩
Classic! The king of disco!
My jaw dropped when I first saw this scene. I first saw Travolta dance in Pulp Fiction and I’m amazed with his dance moves, until I saw this. Wow, John Travolta is a legend.
I'm sure MJ influenced his style. He's still got it. One of the best.
HE SURE IS
I taught him these moves.
@@Lori-lp6uc lol. You're high. No . This was made in the 70s.

Legendary....Iconic....Everything ❤❤❤❤
Still the best dancing scene ever
My girl took me to this hard core dance club in the city a few weeks ago, and at one point, the floor cleared back to form an open area where any body could just get out there solo, and dance. The crowd was so hype and my girl pushed me out there. It was clearly a hip hop/b boy dancing club, and I was no hip hop dancer. So I did this entire dance routine. It was exhilarating, and when I was done, everyone beat the shit out of me.
I chuckled at the last part. But fuck those people.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@cienalmas316 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well at least there wasn't a shooting.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I remember dancing during the disco craze. Never saw anyone dance as great as John Travolta.
probably the best 3.52 minutes on You tube
The God of Dance !
Who knew the kid who played the dummy in Mr. Kotter’s class would eventually become one of film industry’s brightest and best. So many iconic moments thanks to John.
Every character on that show was kool.
Or his brief dancer would become the Flashy Girl from Flushing. 🤣
Laughing…like Horshach…
L. Ron Hubbard.
I am thinking of gru😂😂😂😂 hhhhhhhhhh
He is definitely dancing to the words😏
A Truly Great PERFORMANCE BY John Travolta and credit to the Choreographer Mr. DENNY TERRIO. WONDERFUL JOB.
One of the great dance move executed by John Travolta..
My mom was so cool when she took me to see this movie when it came out. I've been hooked on it ever since. Saturday Night Fever will always be a timeless classic.
My mom did too; except that she waited until they put out an edited version since she didn't want to uh, explain, certain scenes to us, especially to my brother ,who was 5 or 6 yrs old at the time ( I was 10 or 11) My mom also took me to to see "All That Jazz" & "The Blue Lagoon"- but w/o my brother though..!
@@ROBYNMARKOW I remember the pg version of Saturday Night Fever, I used to have it on VHS a long time ago. If that version ever gets released I might pick it up just to have it in my collection.
I remember when it was a big deal to get into R rated movies when underage. A friend of mine said he bought a ticket to "The Goodbye Girl" and hid in the restroom, sneaked in to see this one.
@@joyfulyes I don't blame your friend, I think I would've done the same thing. I considered myself lucky that my parents were cool enough and figured that I could handle the subject matter at that age.
@@joyfulyes My brother & I & our friends used to sneak into theaters at (the Cineplex ones that had/have about 10-20 screens)after the movie we paid for ended. Also, there was asking someone who looked older than 17 to buy u tickets( u gave them your own $$,of course) However, like I wrote before, my mom was pretty cool about us seeing R-rated movies once we were teenagers since she figured we'd find a way to see them anyway.! 😉👍
And that's WHY I will love John Travolta, forever! ❤️❤️❤️🕺
No longer since he has become religious creep.
Amazing movie, Amazing scene. John Travolta is the UNDENIABLE SYMBOL of the 70's Disco Music.
Best dance scene all time
When he does the spin move and then hits the clap is INSANE. LOVE IT
eu amo
I like the way he ends by just dancing off into the crowd!
Best scene in the movie. Travolta commanded that dance floor.👍
Absolute perfection 🥰
Outstanding way of dancing!!! 🙌🏼
One of the most classic scenes in movie history. You knew this scene was going to be iconic the minute you saw it.
The energy is amazing. You sit in your seat feeling like him. Then the lights come on.
Not really. In fact it's overrated and can not be compared to the more complex and entertaining break dancing.

@@beatrizlopez2600 When you ask a question, come up with one that makes sense.
I just can't explain how much I love this movie!
Over 4 decades later and imo still the best dance scene to this day.
😅so much so that even my favorite villain came out with this dance hehe
I don’t know the Napoleon Dynamite dance might give this one a run for its money but John probably had more fun than Jon
@@drachireidnoc6659 it's not about how anyone is else compares to Travolta whether it's this routine or something different!! Many have tried to out due him . But it's the swave and the poise & confidence in my opinion. Hence the New Capital one Xmas commercial 🤷
We watching the same video? He was ok at best.
@@cindys9858
It was also before the great dancing of MICHAEL JACKSON.
One of the most iconic scenes from movies, without considering john Travolta is not a professional dancer
John is a legend
No one does it better
If you mean "professional" as in danced for a living, no. But he was actually a trained hoofer already. He came from a theatrical family and learned this stuff very young. I don't know that Swayze was "professional" but he was trained by his mother. So both were dancers well before they did their iconic movie roles.
Best dancer ever❤❤🔥🔥
Watched this movie which my friend had a copy 23 yrs ago, while in my college. I have been a fan of Travolta ever since
The master of disco dancing
Travolta's legend dude

Ja, einfach fantastisch. Grüße Sebastian😊
Nobody can beat this!!
This is why back in the day we were skinny. We was dancing 💃
After this McDonald's came in to the dancing scene 🤷♂️
I always loved this scene! Dude cleared the floor!❤
The floor was cleared because it is a movie. In reality, his dancing sequences weren't that attractive compared to break dancing for example. And he came off cheesy letting go of the girl and dancing all by himself.
@@Flegpuppy-pi8yf why you keep commenting on this video go watch break dancing videos 😂

I saw this in the movie theater back in the 70s. It changed the world.
no it didn't.
after watching this at the cinema back in d 70s i fell totally in love with jt🤣🤣🤣🤣
George Michael wrote about how after seeing this film and this clip he would go to the school disco to act it out
Later we saw him with Wham doing the dances on TOTP
John inspired a whole generation
Changed the world? I wouldn’t go that far.
Travolta such a great man, phenominal actor..Fallon is so much fun.
This is one of my favorite movies of all time.
When it came out on December 16th, 1977, I was 11 yrs old. My mom got me disco lessons. She bought me these pink hot pants and I wore them to the classes. It was so fun to learn some of these moves for me. I remember it was out in the boonies somewhere, not sure where, but it was in the evening when I went. Lol, I loved those pink pants. Wish I had kept them now. 😂 John Travolta has made many awesome movies in his career. Grease was another all time favorite too.
Can you imagine this being cut from the movie? Freaking amazing moment in movie/music/dance. I remember watching this when I was seven years old sitting my brothers in a movie theater in Douglasville Georgia.
My first full-time job was file clerk in an engineering firm. It was 1978, and disco and clubbing ruled. One of the guys in sales styled himself after John Travolta in SNF; the polyester shirts and flared pants, the hair combed back like a mane, etc. He was HOT. 🔥When I first laid eyes on him at the copy machine he literally took my breath away. Unfortunately, he was also a Lothario, and there were a few young women at the office who were taken in. Funnily enough, he and I had a good rapport, I think because I always called him on his crap. He was impressed that I never fell for his pickup lines. I know a lot of people think disco is lightweight music, but man, it was fun to "boogie-oogie-oogie 'til you just can't boogie no more"! Pete P., wherever you are, I hope you're doing well.

Great scene, great film! Travolta was absolute 'magic'. Unbelievable!
Within this Universal Space, this timeless classic movie dawned upon us with it's fine blend of ingrediants of songs, dance and a good storyline, that captured the hearts and delight of millions of people who watched it Globally - the 70's. The 40's to the early 90's was a marvelous period to live through. Today a total mess. Take me back.

Scene that will be eternalized in which he lived at that time. Great Travolta 👏👏👏
I can watch this movie over and over again!
Just got done watching it on tv. It’s one of my brother and I’d favorite movie he actually got me introduced to it since he’s 11 years older than me
