Great vid, I want rid of all these bloody switches 🙄😑 I had my stator, regulator and clutch switch all replaced coz the battery was draining in minutes under load. Now I still have to pull my clutch lever in exactly the right way or it won't start! Paid £300 and I'm still bumping it occasionally 🤨😮💨
It wasn't until I upgraded the suspension that I realized just how bad the side stand kill switch is. It was cutting out in whoops and sometimes when I'd get up on the pegs. Thinking I had carb issues but it was actually the side stand switch. A relief to know that all my efforts to clean up and retune the carb actually worked. Time to delete the side stand switch.
"SHERLOCK" - I mean "Skids" - DUDE, this video was so helpful you don't realize it !!! - I had each one done in less than 5 minutes apiece. Thank you very much for putting this out there. "WE" understand all too well that you can put 8 hours of work into a 5 minute video - Like with your channel, DOC 650's, my channel, etc. - The main purposes is to help people and have fun !!!! Howsit skids, super easy to follow tutorial 👌 i did all 3 on the weekend along with turning the front indicator brackets upside down to stop them touching the acerbis tank at hard lock also realy easy. would you mind telling me what tyres your on at the moment? Front and back

So can I ground out neutral ? So it can start in any gear? My Kp mini only starts in neutral now I think something happened but it won’t even bump start now

Sup ,I didn't have the stock one on mine owner before me ,took it off cut wires ...you knw what im talking bout anyways I figured it ,thanks for posting your vide even though I couldn't do it like you did ,it got me ponted in the right direction got me studying the schematics till I hunted it down. So thanks
The modification of the kill switch is the only one which maybe has some tiny bit of merit. Removing the other two is somewhere between pointless and dangerous.
The side stand switch will cut out in whoops and could throw you. Ask me how I know. If you're not riding rugged off road, keep it. Otherwise it's a must to delete it to avoid the engine dying at the most inopportune moment.

My dr650se starts on neutral but dies as soon as I rev the throttle or put into gear. Do you know what can be the problem?
No, have you messed with the carb or airbox or air/fuel mixture screw at all lately?

Not sure what you mean sorry mate. To disable the momentary switch you only have to remove the pin, as per video

I disagree, in fact I argue leaving the stand switch intact is more dangerous because the bike may cut out at an inopportune moment.
