Anyone else surprised how well the Note 9 did against the Note 10 Plus? Didn’t some images look better?

Thank you! I was waiting for a quality Note 9 vs Note 10 Plus pics/videos. Note 10 Plus definitely looks sharper. I like Note 9 for most shots.

With the Note 9 you'll get:
    Headphone jack
    Iris scanner
    Heartbeat sensor
No notch no punch hole cutout
    Remapable Bixby button
    With Note 10+ you'll get:
    Faster battery charging speed
    Bigger and almost bezelless display
    Gimmicky air gestures
    Ultrawide camera
    Very high price to buy.
Is it worth it to upgrade to the Note 10+ after this little comparison?

I was watching a video of GSM Arena in which there was a review of the camera of Galaxy S20 Ultra and in the end the host was saying that even the 100+ megapixel camera of S20 Ultra is not a huge betterment over the camera of Note+. It means that Note 9's camera is at par even with the S20 Ultra.

After Google Pixel XL 1 and 2, I got used to very good photos. Then I purchased a Note 9 last year. Great device, love the S Pen, but I *HATE* the camera. It's not just bad. It's pathetic. People who loves this camera usually does not know the powers of a Pixel.
As I said in the beginning, I love the S Pen, so I was in doubt about buying a Note 10. The camera could be better. After THIS video here, your video, I could notice that the camera is the same disaster. So there's no doubt now: it's time to go back to the Pixel line. I'm just waiting for the Google Pixel XL 4.

Gotta take issue with the Note 10 having the best ultra wide lens...it has that fisheye distortion. The V40 does a better job in this arena. But that was a good review and gave props to the Note 9 where they are due. Recent updates have given the Note 9 many of the features from the newer 10 series including a dedicated night mode camera, handwriting to text conversion, the ability to change the S-pen colors and a number of others that really makes the 9 the better bang for the buck device.

Man... I was very surprised... Even more because I'm waiting for my new note 10+ comes ..... I use the camera a Lot and I love my note 9 camera.... Watching this I'm still loving more the note 9 camera more than the note 10's one.... I hope to not regret my upgrade because now I payed my new phone in a prerelease promo (a bundle with Galaxy buds and Galaxy fit...), I'm just waiting for the release date in my country that is in two weeks

Nah you will be fine. Remember the Note 9 went through a ton of camera software updates. Same will happen with the Note 10. I wouldn't regret it if you bought one.

One thing I hate about samsung is that they don't make a better software upgrade for their previous phone they seems like they want the new phone looks really good and better. will still keep my NOTE 9!

With Samsung, not worth upgrade until minimum 2 models behind.
If you want to upgrade for the camera, you can buy a decent, real DSLR at the same price. ($1100+?)
Phone cameras are great, but extremely limited, and just dont compare to a real camera.

Thx for the informative review. I did not plan on upgrading to the note 10+ due to the minor incremental upgrades. However, I changed my mind when I learned that the Microsoft store is doing a trade in and give me $650 back. That's worth doing so.

I feel like between the 2, the Note 10+ overall is a better choice in picture and video quality.
What I'd like to see is the Note 10+ compared to the iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Good video!! Note 10+ is better overall, especially the front facing camera and though I would have liked to have the combo of ultra wide and telephoto lens the ultra wide lens is not a deal breaker for me, I'm constantly zooming in far more than out so I'm keeping my Note 9 for another year.

Having used both phones extensively, all I can say is..
    1. Overall, the note10+ is a much better phone
    2. The Note9's camera produces much better pictures each time. Note10+ is inconsistent, it's color science is inconsistent, sometimes producing amazing pictures... but even a slight change in the shooting angle and the color hues change. This is very annoying. Overall, apart from the introduction of the (good) ultrawide camera, the note9 has the better quality pictures

I guess note 9 is okay too, since it has also a quite sharper background
