I also got the note 10 but I kinda regret it now and not buying the s10+ not having a 1440p screen in a 950$ phone is a big deal for me like how can the s8 have one but the note 10 doesn't and also do you really use the styles that much
@Darth Severus stop worshipping companies. You already gave them your money, now shut up about it. This is why everyone hates you iPhone users, and some android users.
Dumb comment. The S10 line up only have 15W charging because the 25W charger wasn't ready in time. Samsung's delay has always been about compliance with the correct standards. Chinese companies didn't care, they aren't subject to the same scrutiny. All companies about making money for the system we live in. Wake up, it's not just Samsung.
Idk who's gonna see this but interesting story: I got a note 10 as a hand-me-down from my dad back in 2020 and it was amazing. Used it throughout the pandemic with no problems. One night, a small earthquake occured and I don't know if it's a coincidence but my note 10's screen died. I didn't even drop it or anything. I knew it was only the screen cause I plugged it to my monitor to use dex and it worked. Touch also works for some reason. But anyway, we tried to get it repaired and the Samsung repair center said it'll cost us the equivalent of ~280usd. We opted not to buy it because we found a deal for an S20FE for just 100 bucks more. Fast forward 4 years later and despite the fact that I've been maining the S20FE since then, i charged the note 10 every now and then cause I know it's still alive. Lo and behold 6 days ago, the screen came back to life with no problems. I updated everything and the phone is pretty much usable to this day! Anyway, just wanted to share this with random readers.
This phone would have made sense at a lower price point. Paying a bit less for an S10+, or a bit more for a Note 10+ makes much more sense for everyone.
Agree. It looks to be a straight alternative to the S10+ so should've priced around the same area... my guess would be that the Note 10's price will drop relatively quickly.
My wife and I got them with BOGO, pre-order 150 dollar gift card, and 400 dollars in Costco cash card... Making each other phone cost about 325. What's the problem again?
Apple: releases XR Everyone: solid phone for a cheaper price but I wish it had a higher res screen and headphone jack Samsung: what did you say? Lower the screen res and drop the headphone jack?
girlsdrinkfeck true but what Samsung don’t see xr isn’t a flagship model. A note series is one of the best of the best of Samsung lineups and lower screen isn’t part of the note series
@@Elysiabikha no what you don't see is that xr screen is LCD and 720p unlike note which has 1080p AMOLED which is the standard norm. Even p30 pro is like that and costs more yet you don't go claiming its a bad phone.
I really don't know why people care about 1440p on a phone, I changed from a 1440p to a FHD+ phone and the screen is much better, I don't see any individual pixel and the battery usage is a lot better
It dosnt matter at all, I dont see any diffrence. 1440p or even 4k in a phone is nothing more then a marketing gimmick imo. I tested it myself - using 1440p and 1080p phones, I wear glasses tho, so perhaps few % of people with perfect eyesight would be able to tell the diffrence, most of us wont tho.

If you want to have a note experience just go and buy the previous generation of the note line. The note 9 I consider to be one of the best phones that Samsung ever produced.
My boyfriend had a very bad experience with that phone. He dropped it in the water to record something for like 10 seconds and now it's pretty much dead. The front camera is also so bad. @@raifordkenneth15 Ever heard of commas and dots? Anyway, I'm using the note 9 and have been for the past half a year, and honestly even with all of what you just listed, I don't see why I should upgrade. The note 9 has everything I ever needed and more from a phone, and it's still faster than 90% of phones out there, so as long as it doesn't start massively lagging, I'll keep with it. 6gb of ram is more than enough for me, the battery is big enough and the faster storage on the note 10 is something that doesn't even improve performance, as shown in various speed comparisons. So yeah, for me the note 10 just isn't worth it, and it's highly likely that I'll pass on the next year's phone line up as well.
Imagine paying 900+ dollars on a Qualcom 855 device that will be outdated in under 2 years. Fuck that stand. But it will last longer then any of these shitty android phones.

I hate how they make these cheaper versions of flagships lose features just to make you consider spending more or settling for less. How did removing sd card slot help making the price go down ? it's there just to make you think about the better version, it's still expensive as hell god damn it they could just leave it there. But then nobody would really probably want the more expensive one just because of few gimmicks. Same with headphone jack, how is it possible that phone that expensive as note 10 plus doesn't have it ? It's done just to make customer buy wireless earphones. Greedy corporations make me sick
Also if you think about it the phone is smaller and the stylus is the same size, so they had to make room for that, the battery, and other hardware which made it where they had to take something's out. I still think it's priced too high though
Note 1 had a 5'3 and people thought that was huge. No seriously tho that note 10+ 6'8 screen is huge. Fast forward 10 years. And the cycle continues. 🤔
Yea same when i had the note 5, the screen was huge and the proportions were also huge, but today the proportions are really close, it's just the screen that's gotten bigger
It was actually bigger than all these phones with the square bezels these phones are way slimmer and boneless the note 2 way extra wide you could barely hold it with its width
Everything is wireless these days....why do I want to be wired in...what’s the point....my wireless earbuds...all 3 pairs work great...and can wear them on my motorcycle...no cord to worry about...same when jogging and working out....get use to it cause companies have made it obvious that headphone jacks are the past and not future....
@@josephpinczer Headphone jacks will always be present. Perhaps not in mobile devices, but in music studios and for audiophiles wired is always the best option. Lower latency, better reliability, etc. And besides, most of these companies who are removing the headphone jack are GIVING YOU a USB-C connected pair of headphones anyways. Which means companies still value wired connected headphones, but they are following a trend from Apple to remove the jack to make more money with their own wireless headsets. The jack will live on, but maybe not in flagships.
Thanks for giving the Note 10 some love. After picking up a new-to-me Note 10 recently, I was feeling like all the hype was about the Plus. Even though there is a difference in specs, it's not a grand canyon worth of specs. I think the size is the selling point on this phone...maybe I'm just in that niche group. The display is so nice and being able to one-hand reach the entire screen is so convenient.

If you're downgrading from an S21 Ultra you'll likely notice a drop in some areas though. It's not a battery champ, but easily gets me through most days. If you're a very heavy user you may need to top it up, but for I often put it on charge before bed with 30-40% remaining. I've used it a *lot* today, & it's 22:03 at 24% currently. The screen could have a better max brightness for mid summer days outdoors, but not a deal breaker for me. All round the Note 10 is solid, & down to a good price now.
As much as I hate it, it works right apple makes a shit load of money selling only 2 phones a year. Samsung's also just a company. Profits are still first on their mind no matter what they make you think
They still give you way more features than apple ever will so how are they testing the apple concept? Does iPhone have reverse wireless charging, 25W fast charger, USB c, triple cameras etc???
Eventus Vantos Consumers want compromise, not feature they won’t use in the long run and Gimmicks Which is why expensive phones aren’t selling well nowadays
No 90hz at these prices makes me not want these phones at all really. imo theres not enough here for me to take this phone over One Plus 7 Pro. One Plus with their prices and the flagship they are offering really have raised the bar.
90hz screen is overkill period. 99% of apps don't even support 90hz and the difference is not noticeable or negligble at best. The only thing you will notice is the massive toll on battery life which isn't worth the practically nonexistent difference. Also note 10 has better display (colour accuracy and brightness), faster fast charging, more internal base storage, better camera, way more features, spen, I could go on and on. Op7p is a great phone but don't get ahead of yourself. there is plenty note 10 and 10+ especially has to offer over it.
Eventus Vantos 90Hz is for future proofing. With the Pixel likely to have it and likely to promote it getting more apps to support it those 2019 flagship phones without it will age badly. Over 50% of users now keep their phone for 5 years and the average is 3-4 years so not having 90Hz when it is freely available sucks for Note fans, As for battery life, optimisation means that the OP7P has stellar battery life and of course you can switch off when needed, having that choice was the Samsung motto, do not make excuses for them. Not having 90Hz means the Note 10 is irrelevant for me and many others especially at $1100, it should be leading the way instead of cutting features.
There are only few android apps currently supporting the 90hz refresh rate(Probably less than 6 apps). you wont notice much difference while using a 90hz from 60hz. Dont fall for the gimmick
Siddharth Abhimanyu you will see a difference. Even when you’re just scrolling through the app, it’s much smoother. And if more Phones will have 90 or 120hz displays, eventually every app will support it. And when the note series should do everything a smartphone can do, why no 90hz display? And the battery life on the OP7pro is very good. Not a 2 day monster, but i‘d rather have a 90hz display than a 2 day phone, cause you can just... charge your phone.
I've been sticking with Note 8 for pretty much same reasons. Then it fell and the rear glass shattered a bit, so I put tape on it and still using it. 😄. I don't play games, but I'm a power user for personal and professional work, so the beefier processor does not do much for me. Rest of things, exactly the same experience in every single way. I wish phone companies would innovate so hard that I can't stop myself from buying a new phone every year. I miss the mid 2010s.
I have this phone and I actually love it. My only gripe with its bigger brother is that I can't do everything I want without having to use two hands. The Note 10 has the pen experience that I want (and it is useful in a lot of scenarios) and I can browse, text, and go through apps really comfortably using just one hand.

I'm an S10+ owner and I'm very happy with my purchase. I'm not sure I understand why people want high refresh rate displays. They murder battery life at the expense of a SLIGHTLY smoother transition and scrolling. Apple is doing just fine with 60Hz and their transitions are still better than Android. I think a software improvement is more needed than a hardware bump. Excited to see if the S11 lineup next year is even more refined.

It’s not about whether or not you can fit the 3.5mm audio jack... it’s an outdated technology. For goodness sake, it’s an ANALOG connector! Unless someone is going to introduce a new digital audio jack, we’re better off without it. (Honestly, USB-C is probably the best candidate to replace the 3.5mm audio jack at this point. Many audio devices already use it, and almost every recent phone has one)
@@Proteus846 So give as second usb-c, so we can listen to music while charging. That would also mean less wear, as reapeded pluging and unpluging shortens the lifetime of that port
@@Proteus846 It's pointless for wired headphones to be digital, because we are humans and we understand only analog sound and it still need to be converted to analog at the end. Then I dropped my almost brand new G8+ and it landed on the jack. I was horrified. Also, the pain of my earbuds being ripped from my earholes was quite the sensation I wish not to repeat. Luckily, nothing happened. I ordered my first set of BT HP the next morning. These cheap BT HPs have a better sound than the ones I was using.
I could've sold it as a spare, you're such a keeper LoL!
This phone would have made sense at a lower price point. Paying a bit less for an S10+, or a bit more for a Note 10+ makes much more sense for everyone.
Funny enough, I bought my note 10 for $50 less than an S10+. No regrets tbh, I love this phone
Agree. It looks to be a straight alternative to the S10+ so should've priced around the same area... my guess would be that the Note 10's price will drop relatively quickly.
You just gotta look around I played half the price for mins with a contract. Best decision I've made yet.

This 1080p screen is much better than that 1440p screen though. Professional 20K$ grading monitors are 2K (1080p) for the most part.

No 90hz at these prices makes me not want these phones at all really.
imo theres not enough here for me to take this phone over One Plus 7 Pro. One Plus with their prices and the flagship they are offering really have raised the bar.
It's not overpriced, people get the note because they need S Pen. Don't but a note if u don't need an S Pen.

The Note 10 has the pen experience that I want (and it is useful in a lot of scenarios) and I can browse, text, and go through apps really comfortably using just one hand.

Samsung getting rid of the headphone jack is probably one of the most ironic things i've seen.
The most feature packed phone omits a practical feature.
How?

S10+ > Note 10, no doubt.
Why? The jack.
And the resolution and the design are better on s10...
I upgrade to s10 plus not because the reason of headphone jack but samsung display omg is fucking gorgeous love watching video on this phone. Also I upgrade it from my iphone 7 so lack of headphone jack is fine with me 🤗🤗🤗 but seriously samsung display is on top notch tho

You should test the Galaxy A series. The A70 has a 4500 mah battery. They seem pretty good, would love to see your take on them.

my dad recently got one and a full charge last him up to 2 days
Lol I was one of those people that wanted a smaller note. But I'd want all of the note features, not a toned down one. If I went to it from my S10, I'd be giving up my headphone jack and my sd card slot (which I use both alot) and just gaining the S Pen

Thank you for not extending your video to 10 minutes like how every single other youtuber does with 9 minute videos
😂😂😂
Like when they make it just 2 seconds over 10 mins and interrupt the video with 2 to 3 video ads 😒
Well earlier they used to because monetisation and extra ad roll was only possible for videos over 10minutes, now that isn't required. So it doesn't matter anymore.
I wish he made it 9 minutes and 59 seconds
Derrick Thomas I use adblock, but I disable within TH-cam as a way to support my favorite TH-camrs. I let video ads play for those who don't interrupt in between the main video. It's the way I can thank them for making awesome videos.
I have been bouncing through so many phone reviews ranging from the iphone 11/Pro/Max, Oneplus 7/Pro, Samsung every-single-phone, and it's this video that has finally given me a solid solution for my next phone. Thank you for being so goddamn good at this!

TH-cam actually promotes videos more if they're 10 mins or longer. So it's more beneficial to get to that 10 minute mark than not to get to it. Sad but true.
I bought the 10 because the 10+ was just too big. I didn't need the extras though I wish it had the sd slot. I love the 10, not regretting the purchase at all. The 1440 display is just an advertising gimmick, it makes no difference on a 10 inch screen.
After a few years...
We'll use a phone of a screen size of 10 inches....
But still the companies won't be able to fit a headphone jack in it.
That would also mean less wear, as reapeded pluging and unpluging shortens
the lifetime of that port
soon they're gonna probably include bluetooth headphones in the box anyway
@@Proteus846 It's pointless for wired headphones to be digital, because we are humans and we understand only analog sound and it still need to be converted to analog at the end.
The main reasons for digital signal are ease of processing it, ability to keep the proper level of quality over long distance or wireless connection and ability to transfer much more data at the same time. None of these reasons are necessary for wired headphones, so 3.5mm audio jack can't be obsolete.

I was one of "those people" for a while. I scoffed at Apple when they did away with it. I vowed never to buy a phone without a HP jack.
I use them close to 2 hours a day and charge them once a week while driving to work. Usually on the weekend, when I may be driving around a bit more without needing them.
If they'd come up with a set that charged wirelessly, that's be perfect.
