I’ve been WFPB for 9 years. I lost weight, overcame diabetes, high blood pressure, lowered cholesterol and improved pain of fibromyalgia. “VEGAN” doesn’t cut it! Unfortunately I became lax and was bringing in foods that were not WFPB. Diabetes, high blood pressure and weight crept up again. Learned my lesson! It’s lonely following this lifestyle on one’s own. I was delighted to find this group on TH-cam. I don’t feel like such a “freak” Thank you for making this group public. Looking forward to future meetings!

Whole food plant based is unprocessed, no processed fat, salt, sugar. Ive been doing it seven years (not always perfect). I am going on 70 and feel better than 40. I love my food, and not afraid of complex carbs. I now need no meds. Don’t get sick, don’t need to go to Doctor. No one can tell me I’d be better off eating that gross keto.
I was vegan and everything you claimed did not happened. In fact the opposite. I basically became insulin intolerant and diabetic. I am healing on keto diet
Keto diet works. My diabetes, Hypertension, and dyslipidemia all resolved and I lost 35 pounds in 27 months on a ketogenic diet. I am a retired physician.
8 years keto and I got colon cancer. Don’t do it. Eat plants! Whole food plant based. Eating whole food plant based is saving my life. My numbers are so much better now!
I hate to say this, but I think you need to be made aware that you gave off the impression of being very arrogant the way you are answering the questions. You showed no empathy for others. You seem to feel it isn't worth your time to answer questions. You don't open your mouth wide when you talk, you garbled some words, and you give short curt answers. Watch Dr Neal Barnard. He shows humility, kindness and compassion towards viewers. I had difficulty listening to your audiobook of How Not to Age. I wish you had someone else read it.

Hospitals need to be educated about the food they provide for patients with cardiac issues.

Did you recommend the keto diet when you worked as a physician? Or did you discover it only later?

Keto/carnivore diet works. Cured my diabetics and hypertension. I’m 62 feels better than when I was in my 40’s. You should try that sometimes.
