This was handy - someone just told me they had an E8 that wasn't working with my sim, and from just doing a quick search to see if there were any issues connecting an E8 I find this immediately and uses my Sim, so yay!
Will this radio bind with all the other tiny hawks models seems like a better radio the the one that came in the tiny hawk rtf kits ? Thank and happy holidays
do you have any idea how to get the emax e8 radio to enter bind mode? i’m trying to help a new pilot who can’t get it to bind and i don’t have the remote myself. i can’t find anything about how to enter bind mode on the radio online.
@@readysetdrone yes. I use freerider on my android phone in a dronemask2 and this controller for sim. This radio does a good job. Much better, than a game controller and cheaper.
You might want to look into downloading and installing the libusb driver. I don't have any first-hand experience with the issue you're having, so I can't be of much more help. I hope you get it working soon!
I don't think that controller works by connecting a cable from it to your PC. You have to do a work-around. This video might help th-cam.com/video/MrUwW2t-wm4/w-d-xo.html
Windows 10 I plugged this Freestyle 3 ELRS into DRL Sim On Steam and it detected it without having to do anything. Not even device manager. Just be sure to do a full calibration not a quick cal and map out your joystick channels. Define the left mid stick point within your sim settings. Otherwise the left stick will always read 50% throttle and you can't stop ascending.
It does work on a Mac. It's even easier to set up. Simply power on the controller, connect it to your Mac with a micro usb cable, and then assign the sticks in your simulator of choice.
That's a tough one. Try other cables that you know can transmit data for sure. I haven't had this problem, so I can't speak from experience, but maybe check in the Human Interface Devices section. Beyond that, I am not sure I can be of much help. Emax support is usually very good though, so reach out to them if you can't get it working.
@@readysetdrone yes, I just used it. I plugged it in with the game up and went to radio/ joystick setup then remap controls and it works just fine. You have to remap each time you begin.
@@readysetdrone it’s a 2017 MacBook Air and I’m on the newest os. The transmitter doesn’t show up anywhere except the usb spot in system report. I tried it on my sisters MacBook Pro and the same thing. At least for those two, it’s just plug and play
@@readysetdrone I can now get it connected but when I move the controls it doesn’t do anything. It’s weird because it shows connected in the simulators.

That's awesome! I love your SIM. 👊
Just needed a data cable and some driver fiddling! Good video.
Ha ha exactly. Driver fiddling is not my forte, but I am good at fiddling a battery strap.
I got the cable supplied with the FPV kit to work in the same way. Of course, it's way to short so I'll have to pick up a new one
Mine pc dose not show the lib-win32 devices in divine manger have any ideas why?
Such a Simple and Quick tutorial Thank you!
I appreciate you watching and commenting. 🤝

Yes, indeed. This radio will bind to other TInyHawks. Stay tuned to Ready Set Drone for a video showing how to do it, coming soon.
Here is our video explaining how to bind this radio to another quad. th-cam.com/video/Kqt_hVNca7o/w-d-xo.html

Yes. Press and hold the two inward trim buttons. This will put the radio into bind mode.
A Ready Set Drone video is coming soon showing the details.
Our video explaining this process is here: th-cam.com/video/Kqt_hVNca7o/w-d-xo.html Thanks for watching.
Works actually with andoid simulators too, using an otg cable. And with the dji tello too. Found this radio for 10$. Cheaper than a game pad
That's awesome!

Nice Tip Kris! What is the name of the city you flying in the sim? It looks like the Velocidrone Gothem
It's one of the defaults in the free "Curry Kitten" simulator. Just a basic sim, but much easier to use than velocidrone. Thanks for watching, Joe. 👊

How can i change my e8 transmitter from frsky to elrs? Somebody told me that the e8 controller can be changed is it true?
Thanks! Do you know if this will work on a mac?
I wasn't having luck at the time of making this video, but I just tried it today, and it works on a Mac, which is great news.
How do u put the transmitter into bind mode
Press and hold the two inward facing trim buttons. Then the controller is in bind mode. Let me know if you need any more help.

with curry kitten on Mac, you just plug in the transmitter and it works. just reconfigure the controls

Curry Kitten. It's a free one.
when I plug it in it recognizes it as a joystick and then it disappears - what do I do

Why the super loud music after 1st minute!!!
Sorry if it was too loud. I meant for it to be loud, but not super loud, during the flying part at the end. Thanks for the comment.
Must be Win 11 on PC it appears - but then what. Unclear am I missing an app? Plugged in to controller and laptop drivers good - then whay
