Srixon Q star Tour is my favorite ball, not just because of the price butvthe feel, performance, distance and stopping on the green make it an easy choice

Distance, Soft Feel, AD333, Ultisoft, Q Star, Z Star etc. it’d be good to have a comparison with all the various models.

Nice review Chris, enjoyed the input from Dave, a down to earth golfer.

Just my two penneth. As a senior golfer with a slower swing speed, I have been using these for a few years now, and won't use anything else. I have tried most of the balls on the market over the years including other soft feel balls from other manufacturer's, but this one suits me the best. Kirkland, although cheaper feels like hitting a brick to me. The premium balls that cost twice as much a dozen are a waste of money in my opinion, especially if you regularly lose your ball, as some of us often do. Love the flight and feel of these balls, and in terms of durability are fine even if they've been bounced off of tree trunks and branches. So, if you're unsure, give them a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Happy Birthday Dave. I’m jealous of your iron head covers. Keep using them. Another great video and a ball to look at for winter.

Dave first of all HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Secondly I LOVE the head covers as I detest bag clatter. I myself use the Wilson Zip balls.

Ultasoft are 42 compression so behave the same as Pinnacle soft , Callaway super soft and Bridgestone extra soft. The AD333 is a great ball but 72 compression. 40 compression 2 piece are very popular in my club, teenagers, senior golfers, ladies and a decent winter balls for mid handicappers. I play with two 3+ handicappers and they love 40 Comp balls. like me could only find 5-8 yards in this and the ProV1. I found it good around greens. I checked the spin on dry ball using foil dots, and had good readings. Good balls.

Softer compression also will reduce spin along with launches higher which helps increase distance. Especially on slower speeds. 75-90 DSS.

Very nice, seems nice around the greens considering the price point and cover

Ultisoft and Divide are the perfect golf balls for the recreational golfer.

Dave's got more head covers than a haberdashery... I have enjoyed the Srixon balls and have finally settled on the Q Star.

I use these as my winter ball, not found durability to be a problem, 5 or 6 rounds if i don't lose it first. Spin round the green not a problem when the greens are soft and receptive

In the U.S. we have the Srixon Soft Feel, and it's a nice ball. (AD333 no longer available in the States.)

Durability not normally an issue with mid handicap golfers as we tend not to own them for long 😂😂😂

Wilson Duosoft is a touch softer and cheaper too which will appeal to Dave

What sort of swing speed would this work for? I have driver swing speed of around 85 to 90.

I'm 60 years young, and I always play better with a softer ball. I like them all but prefer the Callaway Supersoft at $25 a dozen.

What do u mean by slow swing speed ? I’m a 7 handicap but only swing at about 93 to 96 mph with a driver

  • @damiensharkey6603

Soft ball no speed, hard ball lots of speed. Example of hard high compression balls, prov 1, pro v1x, srizion z star, z star xv, Taylormade TP5 and TP 5 xv,
