I was faced with a shot that was in thick grass, on the side of an elevated green, so I was on a down slope and the green was only 2 yards away from my ball and the flag was only another 2 or 3 yards from the edge of the green. I stood there for a good 3 minutes, almost in a state of panic because I was afraid to death that if I used enough force to get through the grass that I'd send the ball off the other side of the green, or I'd decelerate into it and move it about a foot lol. I did manage to get it out and into the air but it only just made it to the green. It's a very challenging and nerve racking shot!
when the ball is on top of fluffy grass, when I open too much the club head and I try to flop it then the club goes under and the ball hardly moves.If I insted I close the club head the shot is fine

Would you use a pitching wedge?
