- We give you a really good look our floating home on the water. It is a Neel 43 trimaran sailboat and we have been sailing it through the Bahamas down to the Exumas Island chain. This boat is pretty fast and spacious and it has been a lot of fun sailing her down here.

Hats off to Doodles folks for finally providing accurate information on the Neel product line. Your analysis of the 40-50 degrees sweet is spot as well as docking control at 2 knots is great. Jessapearl reaches speeds of 22 knots under the right conditions in French contemporary luxury. Try that on a charter boat and you might break a bulkhead or something else.🤣

That is a cool trimaran. I was looking at a couple of their larger models because we would want multiple heads. I must say, these are well designed boats.

Very nice boat. Elegant but yet comfortable. Spacious and sailboat are words that are rarely used in the same sentence, but that sailboat is surprisingly spacious. Hmmmm… makes me think.

The best feature in this trimaran is that the bedroom is on the upper level, which is different and the speed seems good.

Because they’re only the best of all worlds if you think they are the best of all worlds :-) you’ve got to get a well balanced design or else it’s constantly rocking back-and-forth

I appreciate why Neel put the 43 out there, but I think the 51 has always been the sweet spot for me. And I agree with your comment in the previous video comparing the Neel and the Rapido 60 that La Vagabonde is building. The Rapido is a speed machine for sure, but every time I look at it I can't help but think how little livable space there is on it compared to the cat they have. The Neel 51 wouldn't be as fast, but it's still fast, and has a ridiculous amount of livable space, so that's the way I'd lean if it were my money. Thanks for the tour of the 43!

I am very surprised on how comfortable looking Trimarans are. Cabins look quite spacey beds look very comfortable, two in a bed requires lots space "I'm a spreader outer often wake up and I'm right up behind my husband with him on the edge", and yes comfort over speed every time. Great video, as always. Stephanie would make a great TV Presenter, but then so would you. Where are you moored it looks really picturesque. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Seem like a great fit for them. Except for only one head. seems like that would be very inconvenient for having crew.
The Neel Trimarans don't use spinnaker poles por symetric kites, Only Asymetric gennakers.

What is your experience at anchor in less than glass/flat conditions onboard? Is the boat 'restless' or does it sit similar to a catamaran?

So if sailing under conditions a catamaran can sail under as well. Which is the most comfortable ride a tri or a cat? Also when at anchor which is most. Comfortable to live on?

What about the ride...bouncy, wavy etc?
My concern with a trimaran is the outer hulls slapping when taking waves on your beam. It seems like you would be tossed more and a lot more noise then a catamaran. What is your experience with that?
Yeah you can get some wave slap on the windward hull, but you get the extra speed. So it’s a trade off. I such thing as a perfect boat
Ama (outer hull) slap is a real problem on a tri. Pointing into the wind in an anchorage / mooring is fine, but as soon as you’re beam onto the swell, jt gets loud fast. Also, as you don’t have the weight of a lead keel, the roll motion can be quite fast. In saying all that, I’m currently sitting aboard our tri down in sunny Grenada and having owned cats, monos and now a tri, I’m very happy with our boat👍

Lovely boat, really roomy. I would have liked to have seen a moulded cockpit for more safety and looks it really lets the rest of the boat down with the flimsy plastic awning just propped up with stainless tubing. Sorry
