As the only major change to the Cavaliers roster, James led his team to an 18-win increase his rookie year. And as the only major change to the Bulls roster, a rookie Jordan produced 11 more wins than the year before and a playoff birth. Numbers are great, but making an impact to wins and losses matters more. There isn't a Jordan-LeBron debate if neither was a winner.
Nikola Jokic is much closer to being the next GOAT. Wembanyama isn't there yet, but he has the potential.

@@BiasedNBATakes Of course he has the "potential" of being the greatest of all time but the chances of that happening are pretty thin. To say he will be (or is, as some like to proclaim) greater than Wilt (who I would say is the GOAT) or Jordan (as others often say is the GOAT) is a huge maybe and more likely not to surpass them. The term "GOAT" is used way too loosely and frequently nowadays, and people like to anoint players this title in their first season it seems. The kid has a long way to go to be considered the best ever. Let's see what he does in 12+ seasons and playing more minutes and bulking up in weight. The current NBA is no-defense league and not very physical which works well for the kid. Put him in past eras where he would need to play more of a traditional center position, and he likely would end up as another Ralph Sampson.
Wembanyama's rookie season pales vs Chamberlain's rookie season. Absolutely no rookie season comes close to that of Wilt Chamberlain! 37.6 points, 27 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in 72 games While averaging 46.4 mins (Wilt's endurance is legendary) played per game!!! Blocked shots and steals were not recorded but these stats (blocks for sure) would also likely be well above any other rookie season ever.
Wilt took home not only ROY but also the league MVP that season! He also won the All-Star Game MVP, making him the only rookie to win all three of these MVP awards. The DPOY award was not around at this time, or he might have won this as well (likely battling Russel for this award).
