Another recruit to The Nightwish Army! 🤘They have a new album in the pipeline, so a tour is bound to happen - she actually joined them during the American leg of their 2012-13 world tour, after the previous vocalist left. She had to learn 15 songs in 48 hours! 😱 She's a vocal coach herself - you could probably guess, being one yourself. 😘
I think this is the first vocal coachs' reaction video that I stumbled over where the vocal coach doesn't stop the video at all and does the talking afterwards. Very good! I'll honor this with one of my very rare likes.

I understand pausing for copyright reasons but if you're able to go through it with as little interruption as possible it's not only nicer for the viewer but also a better listening experience for the reactor and get it all out afterward and go back if needed.

Welcome to the Nightwish nation... Marco is amazing to listen to! In addition to "The Islander", you should listen to him sing "High Hopes" from the "End of an Era" concert... absolute gold. (He has also just released a solo alum "Mustan Sydämen Rovio" from which the first single is "Isäni ääni". He is also the lead of a metal band Tarot with his brother... again very different.)
The greatest band in the world with the greatest singer! Floor can do it all metal, rock, operatic, angelic, growling, and all with such ease. Plus she has such stage presence and has the crowd eating out of her hands. She's a goddess and I'm so happy Nightwish have her! 🤘
Your higher then snoop if you believe this band is the greatest. Laughable! I'll give you 2 bands off the top of my head that are lightyears ahead of nightwish, Pearl Jam and Tool. I could rattle off another 20 bands but these two are more the sufficient to make my point. I would love to hear your rebuttal and try to prove me incorrect. Next time Before you shoot off your mouth making extraordinary claims, Dont! But then again judging by the photo and your name you may just be the kid who rode the short bus to school every day. So I went easy on you. Nightwish fans for obvious reasons aren't the best judges when it comes to music. If you would like a breakdown of why this is fact and not just personl preference please let me know.
I cant decide what floor is angel or devil im so obsessed that im start to think that she is pure evil..... There is no way that something pull me into it that hard straaaange
@@scottballinger40 Comeon, get off your high horse. That's a ridiculous comment and not very "mature", since that's what you were pointing out. They were just showing how they Nightwish, nothing more. Those two bands you quoted are of course excellent and amazing, but it's hard to compare them to nightwish, or even these two together. Relax and enjoy seeing people who are such fans of the bands they love.
Tuomas Holopainen (keyboardist) is the band's primary creator, composer and lyricist. He uses 3 (sometimes 4) keyboards -- KORG Karma, Triton, N364 and Kronos. The "film scorey" part was actually him performing a solo. This is one of their best concerts (please react to any song from this show, such as Romanticide) but I wish they put more cameras on the keyboards. THANK YOU for watching the entire performance and reserving your thoughts until the end. This was a joy to watch. Thank you!
What?! I love knowing that that was a solo! YES! Now I've got to go back and listen to it again. More cameras on the keyboards! Equal rights for keyboards! I'm married to a professional keyboard player and we ALWAYS think they need to pay more attention to the keyboard player. ESPECIALLY if said keyboard player is the creator, composer, and lyricist. 😂 Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave this wonderful comment. I loved hearing from you. 😍
Oh man, speaking of Keyboardists, another amazing metal band you should watch is Epica, their live performance of Consign to Oblivion at the Zenith has a keyboard cam and if you've ever wanted to see a keyboardist scurry all over the place because someone thought it was a good idea to put his instrument on a swivel with wheels, it's the performance for you
@@TheVoiceLoveCo If you love the keyboard and the arrangements, then you should check out 'The greatest show on earth' live at Tampere. It probably is exatcly what the name suggests. For context, that song is about the evolution of the earth and the evolution of mankind. It has a great message, even in the credits.
I wouldn't say that it is a solo. Tuomas leaves the stage at that part. It is a pre-recording by London Symphony Orchestra that plays also on threir albums.
I absolutely LOVE the way you made this video. First to enjoy the video and you too enjoying it and then make the breakdown with clips of the video. Excellent! Next poet and the pendulum!
I agree. How could I have ever missed this heavenly sound. I found this song 7 days ago. Must have listened to it 150 time, One day I looped it for my whole shift at work. A 10 hour day.
This may be the best reaction- I have ever seen to this song and I've seen hundreds.. What a joy to watch her response.. I hope she does more Nightwish...
Love this type of reaction sitting and listening all the way through. Nothing more infuriating when someone not only stops it 73837336 times but always stops it just before a drop or huge moment in the song lol.
I really appreciate the fact that you waited till the end of the video to do commenting. I mean all reactors have their own style or way of doing things but the way you do it is what i prefer. Thank you for the great reaction.
Really enjoy the way you critique the song. Adding the cuts to the parts of the video you're commenting on are very helpful to place it in context, but you waited to the end to provide the commentary and not interrupt the flow of the performance. Great job, very well put together.
One of the best concert ever, PERIOD. Anything off this Wacken, 2013 set list will be amazing to react to. Beware though, Nightwish switches back and forth from Symphonic Metal to Ballads, Heavy Metal, Folk Metal, Hard Rock and even some Pop, which is only possible because Tuomas the keyboardist who writes, arranges and blends most of Nightwish's songs is a genius and he has Floor now who can sing anything he creates. She has done the ballads, the duets, the heavy metal, the symphonic metal, the folk metal, bluesy jazz and even pop. You are also correct about this band, you experience them not merely listen to them which is why you always go with a LIVE performance if available as Floor's power, range and stage presence along with the crowd make for a fantastic experience. Great reaction and waiting to the end was a very nice and different experience which made your reaction and evaluation even better.
Floor is classically trained at the University level, and is a voice teacher and vocal coach in her own right....by the way, she's 6-1 in bare feet, 6-5 in those high-heeled boots
Roy Smothers, You are right she is also classical trained. But this was for 1 year and then she decides to go the last 3 years for the Rock/Metal side of the training. This was both on the Rock Academy in Tilburg (Netherlands). She explains this in a Dutch TV show, Reunion where her classmates where also present. The Classical training she did was because she loved to sing the high notes and she was not sure what style she wants. Her range is now from B3 to Fe6. I did see this show ( because I'm Dutch ).
You’ve caught on to exactly what Nightwish is about: top notch musicianship, serious composing skills, big, bombastic orchestral soundscapes, impossibly skilled vocalists all put together in a package to pick you up and carry you away. Seeing them live really is a life experience.
Your smile was evident the whole video, but man did it grow at the end when Floor let out those last few notes, you felt what lots of people feel when they see and hear that. I appreciate how you listened to the whole song with no interruptions, that's the way to experience a song.
Wonderful reaction, check out Santa Terra by epica featuring Floor live at retrospect for another wonderful symphonic metal band. That concert has a full orchestra and choir backing 2 of the best female vocalists alive.
I so love that you just watched the whole song without any interruption, just enjoying what you see and stating your opinion afterwards instead of pausing the video, talking over it and showing that you can hit those notes as well as some other vocal coaches are doing. Well done... Thumbs up 🤗
Magnificent Regarding the comments of the reviewer. I was very appreciative that you didn't interrupt the music, like so many others. Most of the time as soon as the song is over I stop listening to what is being said. But with yours I was will to hear what you had to say after. I will look for more of your reviews because of that. Thank You
Thanks, it's always enjoyable to watch a reaction to Nightwish, especially with Floor Jansen on lead female vocals. Their principal composer Tuomas Holopainen (the keyboardist) is a wizard in songwriting, There's so much talent in this band, and Floor as a vocalist is out of this world, period.
I love how you don't pause it every 5 seconds and give your opinion. Even though it's clear you want to say something it's fantastic seeing a reactor just enjoying the music.
I like the way you handle this. First the complete song followed by the analysis where you show a piece of the video which your comments were referring too. Well done.
I loved how you just watched the performance without interruptions and then you talked about it and showed the clips. That is the best format imho. Interrupting, or talking on top of the performance is wrong , because this way you lose parts that may be important, and also lose the immersion into the song. Well done! Subscribed! Oh! And long live NIGHTWISH! I 'd love to see more reactions from you.
Very well done video. Also the short clips towards the end to show what part you were discribing. I don't see many peole do that. Was cool. Keep it up, have fun and stay healthy.
I've watched this performance literally dozens of times and it always brings tears. Thanks for giving your reaction and appreciating the entire performance.
Excellent reaction. What I loved about this reaction is unlike other voice coaches, you didn’t stop the video to comment. You watched and enjoyed the performance then talked after it was over
New to your channel and I have to congratulate you. Really, excellent reaction. You don’t blabber through the music like many others do. And you don’t feel the need to show off your vocal capabilities with lots of ‘ooooohhh’s and aaah’s while the music is playing. I really like how you intersperse your analyses with video and sound fragments *after* you have listened. And another thing, you.really.listen. and feel the music. In other words; you respect the music. Thanks for that. Well done. Subbed!
I totally agree with you. #Christi has respect for other bands and singers. She really listen to the music. She is a vocal coach who make sense to me. I did subscribe ad once to follow her.
If you reacts to more Nightwish (which I hope you will), please use the live versions over the recorded, and you really can't go wrong with Wachen 2013, Wembley Arena 2015 and Tampere 2015.
Hello. Since this is your first reaction to Nightwish. I will give you a short history speech, "The Ann Waychoff" speech (a short / concentrated history of the band): Nightwish was started in 1996.They are considered a female fronted symphonic metal band. They are from Finland. Tuomas Holopainen, the keyboard player, composes and writes the lyrics for 95% of their music. Marco Hietala is the Bassist and vocals .And there is the guitarist Emppu Vuorinen . Then there is Troy Donockley from UK who is a multi-instrulmentalist and vocals. Jukka Nevalainen is the drummer. In 2015 due to Jukka's health issues Kai Hahto became the drummer and as of now still is. Nightwish has had three singers. 1st one was Tarja Turunen (Operatic vocals). She was with them until 2005. The 2nd one was Anette Olzon from Sweden (Poppy, strong vocals). She was with them until 2012.The 3rd and current singer is Floor Jansen, from Netherlands (power, operatic, soprano.....most versatile) - you just saw her. There are live concerts that you should use depending on what era. From Wishes to Eternity and End of an Era (Tarja), Montreux Festival live 2012 and Exit Festival (Anette), Live at Wacken 2013, Live at Wembley, Live at Tampere, Vehicle of Spirit live (Floor). I hope this helps. I want to welcome you to the Nightwish community. I hope you like them enough to continue the journey. Believe me Nightwish will surprise you with their songs. You will never know what to expect. They are unbelievable live. I want to warn you that Nightwish fans are hard core. So be prepared. lol I would like to recommend "Yours Is An Empty Hope" th-cam.com/video/XtXqUNB8zrU/w-d-xo.html Thank you.
@@larrysmith2638 Ann is recovering, at home. The last info I got is from GoFundMe, updated 8 days ago www.gofundme.com/annwaychoff "I wanted to share Jim’s (Ann's husband) latest update on Ann: She's doing better. She still can't sit up for any period of time, but I want her to try getting on her computer this week if for only short periods of time. She did get the package (sent by a fellow Nightwish fan) and of course she cried. Hopefully you'll be seeing her on all her sites in the very near future. Thanks for checking in."
Well, I can confirm: It is an experience like no other. I was there, and no, I wasn't 'this lady'. I was further at the back. Because, the peeps in the front rows have been camping at that stage since late morning. But at least I wasn't one of those who came running from the camping site shortly after that concert started (it's an open air festival in Germany, it had over 82,000 visitors). During this song, I was standing there, staring at the screen and crying tears of joy.
What a great reaction Christi. I've seen many, but this is the first for a vocal reaction that didn't stop the video or comment throughout the song. I also really liked when you would comment about a certain part or aspect of Floor's voice you followed it with a video clip. I really enjoyed your comments and reactions. May I also add that you are quite beautiful with a lovely smile. I look forward to you reacting to other Nightwish songs and any from this 2013 Wacken open air concert would be great. Floor has such a beautiful powerful voice with such dynamic range that she has become my all time favorite singer. When I first saw this video of Floor's vocals I experienced goosebumps, chills, hair standing on end and just in awe of her voice. She even moved me to tears in a good way. Thank you Christi.
I was also grateful that you complimented the entire band on their musicianship. They truly are very talented musicians that put on a great performance. When you mentioned exploring more symphonic bands, I really don't know how many other symphonic metal bands there are, but Nightwish is my band of choice. In fact Nightwish is currently the band I would most like to see live. They will be touring in 2020 and if there are any in the USA, I most certainly will be making an effort to see them.
I love your happy and vibrant positivity when it comes to these reviews. When I see you have a new one I get so excited. You bring a little light to the crazy out there. Well done friend.
Christi, you did a magnificent job in recapping and analyzing this song by Nightwish!!! You allowed the entire song to play through without stopping, restarting, and interrupting this song!!! YOU ARE AWESOME!!! The Very Best to you now and into the future!!! I AM A HUGE FAN!!!!!
Great reaction and break down! Was refreshing to see a vocal coach actually listen to the entire song without continuous pauses...saving all thoughts and comments until after the song was finished!
can't say how much I enjoyed your reaction. So nice to hear someone who can appreciate this and can give it a great breakdown like you did. Looking forward to more of you. Thx
Symphonic metal really is a gem in the music world. It popped up in the 90's with bands like Nightwish, because Metal music had become more widespread in the 80's, but then in Finland and other parts of Europe the people who got into it were classically educated musicians, so it very rapidly mixed together with classical and folk music. That's also why it's such a popular genre in Finland, people just take the drums and the guitars and combine them with different styles. Nightwish really hit the jackpot with getting Floor as their singer, she is such an amazing singer. She can match her voice to anything in the music, and the people in this band can do _a lot_ with the music.
The music is called symphonic metal and i very populair in Europe and South America. The band is from Finland and founded 1996 . So far the band has had 3 vocalists 1 Tarja Turunen (Finish) pure opera voice also very good live. (until 2005) 2 Anette Olzon (Schwedish) more pop style. fine in the studio but not good live. (until 2012) 3 Floor Jansen* (Dutch) (current) . * She is the vocalist you saw in this clip. She has a classical vocal background education and can sing any style she likes from jazz to opera high to growling low. Believe me when i tell you you have not even scratched the surface yet of what she capable of. Band members Tuomas Holopainen (The keyboard player and creative mind behind the band. He writes about 95% of the music and lyrics) Marco Hietela (the viking with the long beard (Bass and vocals) Jukka "Julius" Nevalainen (The drummer) Erno "Emppu" Vuorinen (the hobbit like guitar player) Troy Donockley ( a person who did not play on this song but is a multi instrumentalist from the UK) The clip was shot a few months after Floor jointed the band right in the middle of their US leg of the world tour. They asked her to join after tensions between the previous (Anette) vocalist and the rest of the band had rissen so high that they fired her. With close to a year still to go to complete the tour, and their next concert planned 2 day later they, needed a replacement fast. They called Floor because she had toured with them when she was part of the support bands"After Forever" and later "Revamp" on several occasions and they were quiet impressed by her vocals (who would not be?). She only had 2 days, including a flight from the Netherlands to the US, to learn the setlist and only had one rehearsal with the band a couple of hours before her first show and nailed it. Since they were making a documentary about the worldtour a lot of what happened was recorded. The documentary is called "Please learn the setlist in 48 hours" (th-cam.com/video/vhExkmWKMEU/w-d-xo.html ) As a next song to take a look at i would recommend their masterpiece "The poet and the pendulum" live at Wembley. Before you take a look at it i would recommend to take a look at the backstory of this song. This will make you appreciate it much more. here is the link th-cam.com/video/gbn9GczYBkw/w-d-xo.html BTW that last note she just sang? Nightwish fan created a whole new word for when she does something impressive like that. We call it a Floorgasm. Welcome to the club and boy are you going to receive a lot of traffic on your channel. ;-)
I love the fact you let the song play without constantly pausing it to make comments, which could ruin the entire flow and feel of the piece. Your choice to discuss at the end and show clips of what you’re referring to is perfect. Well done! Hitting the sub button now.
That is the most in depth review of this song I have ever watched. I can’t wait to hear your take on Poet and the Pendulum. Live at wembley. Nightwish is the most exciting band that has come out since Iron Maiden.
I'm so happy you did this reaction!! I've been watching your other videos, I was watching your reaction to Lara Fabian the other day! (Great one) I'm glad you liked this song, I'd love for your you to continue getting to know the band a bit. I'm sure one of the other fans will fill you up on some of the background stories but you just saw their third and current singer Floor but the other ones definitely deserve a listen too. Maybe a jump in their past to the original and classically trained Tarja? She was the first singer to sing Ghost Love Score but that was totally different from the magical spin Floor gave it. Maybe you can watch Phantom Of The Opera with Tarja, preferably the live version. And if you want to see more with Floor then please watch Poet And The Pendulum. Your channel will get bombarded with Nightwish fans. Just enjoy the enthusiasm and get into it!!🖤
As i have seen Nightwish live 3 times (all with Floor as singer), it is a complete outer body experience, and the fan are amazing to hang out with while enjoying the show.
I have watched dozens of reactions to this song. Yours is by far the best and I love how much effort you put into it. Not one single pause. That in itself is a miracle. Thank you! Suggest Epica live performing Sancta Terra with guest singer none other than Floor Jansen!
Nightwish & Floor Jansen are a match made in heaven..Tuomas Holopainen (the keyboard player) is a genius and main songwriter, composer. I can’t explain how amazing this band is...pure class.
Thank you for not stopping the video and using the clips at the end. SO MUCH BETTER than other reactions. The keyboard player wrote the music, all of it. I believe that there are three keyboards and I believe the pipes were an art piece. Check out more Nightwish, Within Temptation (look for orchestral songs, not all are), and Epica's "Sancta Terra"
That's what makes a true singer and band. You feel it more than hear it. That's something that can't be taught. Came for the song Staid for the reaction An the floorgasm.
There is an old saying from the jungle....When singing, vocalist Floor Jansen changes musical genre from one to other and then back, faster that fastest cobra strikes. But she is not only talented singer in Nightwish, bass-guitar player Marco Hietala has skills too...Example song "Islander" (Tampere Live) or "Kiss while your lips are still red" (Webley arena Live) are worth to check.

Very nicely done and structured reaction. Much more indepth and clearer than most. Tuomas the keyboard player is the mastermind and so often overlooked in reaction videos. Nice to see your appreciation of his composing abilities. More Nightwish!
Ghost River (wacken 2013) and Song Of Myself (Wacken 2013). Everdream (wacken2013) If you do Poet And The Pendulum do the one with subtitles there's some things you'll likely miss otherwise.
Yes, this is actually very important! Lyrics are key to get into the many emotions of that song. A lot of things get lost if you don't have them on screen.
I've watched several reaction video's for this song, and your reaction and choice of words to describe this is by far the best. Like you said, simply put, Floor is a beast! Thank you for your upload, your positive attitude and glow is very uplifting.
If you want to check out "Sancta Terra" by Epica (the live version featuring Floor), there are some runs in there where Floor is switching vocal styles in the same phrase! The control she has is amazing. Plus: it's symphonic metal with a live orchestra on stage! :D

Great reaction. You haven't even heard Marco (the tall blonde bassist) sing yet. Him and Floor together is magical.
Yeah, "Romanticide" from this same show is a great showcase in a shorter song of how great he sings both solo and with another vocalist! Marco rules.
Ghost River has a great chorus line for Marco and Floor's voice in backround hits you in the heart!
This! I love "The Islander" Live from Tempere, which features mostly Marco but Floors sings some backup for him, it's beautiful.
The end chorus on The Islander from Tampere when Floor joins him is legitimately the best sound I've heard in my life.
Relax and enjoy seeing people who are such fans of the bands they love.
just me, you sound like an arse. Probably is one too.
@@scottballinger40 How old are you?
@Ian Stevenson Three of them are :D They have flame throwers ;)
I wouldn't say that it is a solo. Tuomas leaves the stage at that part. It is a pre-recording by London Symphony Orchestra that plays also on threir albums.
THX...Wellcome to world of Nightwish. Your journey has just began...It will be a roller coaster. Just hang on and enjoy...❤
True - although I, personally, would have picked Amaranth for an introduction.
I absolutely LOVE the way you made this video. First to enjoy the video and you too enjoying it and then make the breakdown with clips of the video. Excellent! Next poet and the pendulum!
I did love the breakdown. Wish others would do that but I realise it requires extra editing.
You really nailed the spirit of Nightwish. A total soul experience!!!! And Floor....she is the queen of metal!
That's the best reaction i ever seen. Thanks for that video.
Love this type of reaction sitting and listening all the way through. Nothing more infuriating when someone not only stops it 73837336 times but always stops it just before a drop or huge moment in the song lol.
I'm a simple man: I see Nightwish, I click!!!
Omg! Never clicked so fast! Thank you for finally getting to this long requested video!
Yay! I had so much fun learning about Nightwish! Thanks for your contribution, Rosannasfriend.
And this song is only the beginning of symphonic metal experience!
Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. It means so much to me!💖
One of the best concert ever, PERIOD.
Your reaction nailed it! I'm 65 and I've been listening to Nightwish for only a few months and I'm hooked!
Floor is classically trained at the University level, and is a voice teacher and vocal coach in her own right....by the way, she's 6-1 in bare feet, 6-5 in those high-heeled boots
A Valkyrie Goddess.
@@wimthuis4741 natural talent always shine through.....
@@wimthuis4741 I watched the same program. First she did Rock Academy. Afterwards she did classical training
And she is beautiful!
You’ve caught on to exactly what Nightwish is about: top notch musicianship, serious composing skills, big, bombastic orchestral soundscapes, impossibly skilled vocalists all put together in a package to pick you up and carry you away. Seeing them live really is a life experience.
With this performance...I fell in Love with FLOOR.💥🤘😍💫💯
Your smile was evident the whole video, but man did it grow at the end when Floor let out those last few notes, you felt what lots of people feel when they see and hear that.
I appreciate how you listened to the whole song with no interruptions, that's the way to experience a song.
Pleas more Nightwish. I guarantee you will love them. Floor will rock your world with what she can do.
That was a really good reaction with no stops. I liked this way. Keep it on lady!!!
Wonderful reaction, check out Santa Terra by epica featuring Floor live at retrospect for another wonderful symphonic metal band. That concert has a full orchestra and choir backing 2 of the best female vocalists alive.
I agree with this suggestion.
This concert is awesome for sure! I agree with you 100%
GLORIOUS ....... that's a great word to describe this performance

The power of Floorgasm! (And everything else I've heard of them since spring 2000.)
Basically the people who think that Floor is the only person good at singing live😂
I so love that you just watched the whole song without any interruption, just enjoying what you see and stating your opinion afterwards instead of pausing the video, talking over it and showing that you can hit those notes as well as some other vocal coaches are doing. Well done... Thumbs up 🤗
Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment. It means a lot. 💖
I liked how she listened all the way through before commenting and critiquing.
No other word for it than Floorgasm! Makes me smile and get tears in my eyes every time she goes full on.
Magnificent Regarding the comments of the reviewer. I was very appreciative that you didn't interrupt the music, like so many others. Most of the time as soon as the song is over I stop listening to what is being said. But with yours I was will to hear what you had to say after. I will look for more of your reviews because of that. Thank You
8 seconds into the actual music and she's already got a smile on her face. I cannot wait to see the rest of this!
You looked like a very proud mom watching her daughter winning a talent show. Excellent reaction!!
✌
The whole concert is an amazing masterpiece of music in history
I love how you don't pause it every 5 seconds and give your opinion. Even though it's clear you want to say something it's fantastic seeing a reactor just enjoying the music.
I like the way you handle this. First the complete song followed by the analysis where you show a piece of the video which your comments were referring too. Well done.
I really liked that you listened to the whole track before commenting, glad you liked it.Nightwish is an amazing band.
Wow, you are truly elegant and beautiful. It was enjoyable to watch you react to Nightwish. :)
Very well done video. Also the short clips towards the end to show what part you were discribing. I don't see many peole do that. Was cool. Keep it up, have fun and stay healthy.
Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate the encouragement.❣️
I've watched this performance literally dozens of times and it always brings tears. Thanks for giving your reaction and appreciating the entire performance.
Excellent reaction. What I loved about this reaction is unlike other voice coaches, you didn’t stop the video to comment. You watched and enjoyed the performance then talked after it was over
Never gets old watching someone have their first "floorgasm"
Welcome and thank you for this kind feedback. I appreciate it very much. 🌟
If you reacts to more Nightwish (which I hope you will), please use the live versions over the recorded, and you really can't go wrong with Wachen 2013, Wembley Arena 2015 and Tampere 2015.
Exactly, can't go wrong with any of those you mentioned.
Can't go wrong with anything from End of an Era, either...
@@Max_Griswald That is also a great tour
The only thing I'd add to this is Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean, Bloodstock 2018.
One of my favorite symphonic metal group, thanks
Hello. Since this is your first reaction to Nightwish. I will give you a short history speech, "The Ann Waychoff" speech (a short / concentrated history of the band):
Nightwish was started in 1996.They are considered a female fronted symphonic metal band.
So be prepared. lol

Where's Ann?
@@larrysmith2638 Ann is recovering, at home. The last info I got is from GoFundMe, updated 8 days ago www.gofundme.com/annwaychoff
"I wanted to share Jim’s (Ann's husband) latest update on Ann:
She's doing better. She still can't sit up for any period of time, but I want her to try getting on her computer this week if for only short periods of time. She did get the package (sent by a fellow Nightwish fan) and of course she cried. Hopefully you'll be seeing her on all her sites in the very near future. Thanks for checking in."
Epic, just epic !!!
Thank you, Scott. Lovely to hear your feedback. It means a lot. 💖
Thank you for this reaction.Welcome to the epic and fabulous journey to the world of Nighwish.
Great reaction and break down! Was refreshing to see a vocal coach actually listen to the entire song without continuous pauses...saving all thoughts and comments until after the song was finished!
“Symphonic Metal, where have you been all my life”! Wow are you in for a treat. ❤️🤘
can't say how much I enjoyed your reaction. So nice to hear someone who can appreciate this and can give it a great breakdown like you did. Looking forward to more of you. Thx
It's nice to see someone just utterly entranced by the whole song, not just Floor's vocals.
When she hits those high notes, that’s called a Floorgasm! Awesome to see you enjoy it so much!!!
The band is from Finland and founded 1996
. So far the band has had 3 vocalists
1 Tarja Turunen (Finish) pure opera voice also very good live. (until 2005)
2 Anette Olzon (Schwedish) more pop style. fine in the studio but not good live. (until 2012)
3 Floor Jansen* (Dutch) (current)
. * She is the vocalist you saw in this clip. She has a classical vocal background education and can sing any style she likes from jazz to opera high to growling low. Believe me when i tell you you have not even scratched the surface yet of what she capable of.
Band members
Tuomas Holopainen (The keyboard player and creative mind behind the band. He writes about 95% of the music and lyrics)
Marco Hietela (the viking with the long beard (Bass and vocals)
Jukka "Julius" Nevalainen (The drummer)
Erno "Emppu" Vuorinen (the hobbit like guitar player)
Troy Donockley ( a person who did not play on this song but is a multi instrumentalist from the UK)
The clip was shot a few months after Floor jointed the band right in the middle of their US leg of the world tour. The documentary is called "Please learn the setlist in 48 hours" (th-cam.com/video/vhExkmWKMEU/w-d-xo.html )
As a next song to take a look at i would recommend their masterpiece "The poet and the pendulum" live at Wembley. I have watched dozens of reactions to this song. Yours is by far the best and I love how much effort you put into it. Not one single pause. That in itself is a miracle. Thank you! Suggest Epica live performing Sancta Terra with guest singer none other than Floor Jansen!
After hearing Nightwish that beautiful smile will never leave your face.

And just how old is this saying? 😋
