I agree big time. I've watched reviews from IGN and other huge big companies on there comparisons of games from PS5 to PS5 Pro and some games have better graphics in little tiny areas like the grass or detail of bricks. But it's not a major super upgrade of wow omg! It's like ok a little bit better, but barely. So it's at the point of why buy the PS5 Pro? Sure the whole deal of it is you can get the steady 60 FPS or faster along with the better graphics instead of choosing better graphics or better frame rate on regular PS5. I get it for sure. But with how high the details of everything now in games, you can't spot those little tiny differences. Because when your playing the game it goes by and you're just not going to go oh hey that looks better now. No. Seriously, the same games look exactly the same, no difference. The only benfit of the PS5 Pro at this point is higher frame rate along with good graphics. @ exactly man. Buy and play whatever y’all want. I just think that extra $200-$300 can be spent better elsewhere like maybe on a bunch of new games or something.
Ps5 is a little extra for a lot of money. A lot of money for what it offers. It's like buying a large meal at Mcdees just to get a few extra fries if the large meal was twice the price of the standard. Last gen's mid gen refresh was an upgrade worth getting. Xbox one x vs Xbox one was an upgrade worth getting, the difference was night and day, even the jump from ps4 to ps4 pro is a bigger jump than the jump from ps5 to the ps5 pro and this upgrade is significantly more money than last gen's pro models. Not to be that guy but only cognitive dissonance can justify seeing value in the ps5 pro. Definitely not a night and day difference despite being double the price of the standard ps5😂😂😂 People think those that don't rate the pro are just salty or broke but really it's not about the money it's about the principle. Some people just don't like the idea of being taken advantage off or lied to. Sony lied. Even when the ps5 launched they lied and said there would be no loading times or very short loading times whilst that's true for first party games, games like life is strange true colors still have long loading screens just when going in and out of stores and other buildings. This time with the pro the lie was that they would take away the choice of fidelity and performance modes so there would be no compromise by just giving you top performance with the fidelity of the ps5 which is not what you're getting. They actually have more modes for people to struggle choosing between. Instead of having 2 modes graphics and performance now they have in some cases as much as 4. Even on the pro you're still having to play 30fps to play at the best fidelity just like you do with the base model. If I'm paying £800 I'm paying that for a new gen console not a mid gen refresh of a current gen system. Last gen it made sense to upgrade. The Xbox one X gave me a 4k Blu-ray player to play my ultra hd movie discs and the ability to game in native 4K and the ps4 pro gave me 1440p versions of ps4 games that had good enough checkerboard upscaling for me to appreciate them on my newly purchased 4k tv. Pssr comes with its own set of problems so there are still compromises with the ps5 pro despite Mark Cerny's silver tongue hissing through his presentation assuring there would be no compromise.

Imo PS5 Pro is needed for third party games not first party games. First party games look/run good enough already but UE5 games look and run dogshit imo and if properly optimised PS5 Pro games in the future will improve how those games look and run it's already worth the money for me.

Great grounded review. You’re funny too bro thanks for the vid
@@PadeJuan lol thanks man. I’m gonna keeping making more videos and being my stupid self. Hope to see you around.
the thing is if you got a good monitor or tv (which cost more than the pro) then you kind of have to get the pro otherwise its pointless to own that monitor/tv. if you dont have that monitot/tv then its pointless to own a pro because you cant see a difference. its simple as that
@@Danmas305 I did my test on a 65 inch, 4k, QLED, 120hz, HDR10 TV. Doesn’t get much better than that. Maybe if you throw OLED panel in the mix then sure, but OLED is not necessary.
@ yes true you have seen the difference but you dont care about it😂 lot of people say there is like no difference but thats a lie. i think with the 2tb upgrade and the fact that this console gonna cover the next 4-5 years of gaming and the option to sell the old ps5 i find nothing wrong about buying the pro except that we give sony the feedback that such a pricetag is acceptable which is for sure a downside and gonna be a problem in the future
I have a Sony oled 4k 120hz VRR 65” and to be real it’s not much of a difference.
@ my point exactly
Nicely explained between the PS5 and BS5 Pro 👌, Digital Foundry are Rubbish lol 😅
@@Thunder_Light207 BS5 😂
Tired seeing these people "what type of tv you have, you need an oled 4k tv" its like bro that shit causes just as much as the ps5 pro 🤦♂️
@@smwfreak1647 Yeah it’s like dude if you got that kind of money to buy a massive 4k OLED tv and a PS5 pro, you probably got enough to buy a monster ass gaming PC at that point might as well go that route.
@@MackDaddyVic exactly
He didn’t say it wasn’t better. He just said it wasn’t $300 better. I got one too and took it back because it wasn’t that much different from my base ps5. I don’t get why you guys get so upset when people say this. If you’re enjoying the pro. That’s good nobody is telling you to take yours back
@ exactly man. Buy and play whatever y’all want. I just think that extra $200-$300 can be spent better elsewhere like maybe on a bunch of new games or something.
@@crunchypunchfn7880 true ngl lol
100% agree
great review bro
@@abzabz7035 thank you brah 😀
Definitely not a night and day difference despite being double the price of the standard ps5😂😂😂
People think those that don't rate the pro are just salty or broke but really it's not about the money it's about the principle.
Please stop games can always look better we should always strive for better
@@MCcalzone yea, I agree. But at what cost? The pro should be cheaper. $700 doesn’t make sense. Not for the average consumer/gamer.
lol is Apple iPhone 16 that much better that iPhone 15? Yet Apple sells the iPhone 16 for $1200. No one bats an eye.
I love my pro it’s way better that the base ps5. The base is old tech upgrade.
The PS5 Pro is old tech to since the CPU in the Pro is a AMD Ryzen 2 which was launch in 2018 which makes it 7 years old.
Imo PS5 Pro is needed for third party games not first party games. First party games look/run good enough already but UE5 games look and run dogshit imo and if properly optimised PS5 Pro games in the future will improve how those games look and run it's already worth the money for me.
I'm more worried about the Trump tariffs sorry for being political, but it is kind of a mandatory thing to bring up. It is possible the PS5 pro could be $950 or $1,000 that could affect the sales

I don't particularly agree with your takes regarding gaming, but I just wanted to say that you're absolutely killing it with your guitar videos. You're very good

180FPS 4K for $1500 is laughable but add the potato camera on top and now you're a comedian. you playing runescape on 4k or something?
@@cyclogenisis okay let’s all take a breath here. My PC can do 4k and it can do 180fps. I didn’t say it does 4k-180fps simultaneously. On most modern games it handles 4k 60-80fps. And at 1440p it does 150-180fps depending on game. That being said, doesn’t matter. Has nothing to do with the video.

PS5 slim $380 Holiday sale means $700 PS5 Pro cost 85% more for 15% overall real world increase in performance🤦♂️ Sony is 🦇💩🤪‼️ Pure sony cash grab while Beta testing pssr & ai upscaling to be fully integrated in PS6 release in 3-4yrs, the slim should have dropped to $300-$350 and Pro release at $500 and it would have been acceptable to most console gamers wanting that little extra performance (without disc drive), 👍👍 honest video
