I thought the Go wasn't powerful enough to run that big screen... I returned it and got the Ally secondhand after trading in my Deck... I miss the screen on the Go but the sound was shite.. 12 months later I am starting to want the Go again.. and now they are cheaper.. but this close to the latest gen of cpu/gpu's coming out I think I have to just wait.

Ally wins for me. Controllers are way better and the vrr screen makes a difference in fps games... I was in the same situation as yourself but I'm now selling my legion go.

I get that we are supposed to say they are stupid, childish, etc., but i love console wars. Always have and always will. While there wasn't much of a nes vs sms battle, the snes vs genesis battle made the generation even better. Yea, playing the games was fun, but i had just as much fun arguing with my friends over, which was better. You hit em with a "look at those raggedy ass graphics on streets of rage vs. final fight". They hit you back with "you can't even play two players on that shit." A tg16 owner (me though i had a snes too) might laugh and be met with "what you laughing at, your shit don't even got two controllers." Which is a met by a "we got turbo buttons we don't need no extra help". These were some of the actual conversations I had with my friends growing up. That shit enhanced the games for me.Same continued in n64 and ps1. Somebody would point and laugh at quest 64 when compared to pretty much any ps1 rpg. We'd argue over goldeneye vs mgs, Mario kart vs twisted metal and whatever else. Guess it was the 80s kids in us. Combative about whatever we were doing. It just made things more fun. Shooting hoops and you cooking the friend they got guarding you, you'd hear "yall better get him off me before I get (whatever point total to win) all by myself." If i got beat deep covering somebody in football, I knew I was gonna hear "yall better put a safety on me too cause he needs some help. You just responded that it was luck, and you'd look right at the qb and say I bet you won't throw it to him next time." Talking shyt has always been a fun way to enhance many hobbies when doing em. Gaming is no different. If somebody says "we'll that's childish", I counter that so is gaming in general. These things are toys made for children. If we can look past that and still play em as adults, we can still be childish about which ones we like best.

The PS5 controller haptic feedback is cool in Call of Duty games, the triggers have that effect in them, I like that a lot. However the PS5 controller is a bit too big for me too hold for over an hour I would say, and the triggers are just flat as crap. I don't like them at all. I always view lists in alphabetical order as well, I just find it so much easier with it. I own over 500 games on PS12345. So getting rid of any PlayStation for me is a big huge no because I own most of my games on PlayStation consoles. I don't own a lot on PC, but it is going to be my future as I just can't keep buying new after new after new console every 6 to 7 years. So I'll keep all of my Xbox consoles, all of my Nintendo consoles, all of my PlayStation consoles, my Dreamcast as well, a couple classic consoles as well, and PC. But overall PC is the entire future for me. I have a ton of games across consoles but of course like I said mostly the most games on PlayStation consoles. But the future is going to be PC for me. Maybe other people can pick a side, I use to be PlayStation sided for years and years, but now I just have way way too much consoles, so I'm going full PC. And one thing to note is I'm the only one who ever comments on your videos. I'm like the only one who finds them interesting and interactive with how I think. But I'm a strong introvert person, so I guess that has to do with it.

Consoles are much more expensive and less convenient. Think about it a bit better.

I dont know youtube put this video on my TL, but overall your take is good. Ive always been a PC gamer for around 10 years (just when the PS4 released) and its the best thing ive done. The only thing that i dont agree is that you have to spend that much money on a PC to have a good experience. You can have a PC with better performance than a PS5/xsx for around 600 usd (not but much on the gpu side, but significantly better on the cpu). For 1000 usd you can build yourself a PC thats way better than a PS5 pro. Anyways, congrats for your new PC and now its time to take advantage of those steam sales.

Just a by-the-by; Norton Antivirus (and for that matter, most third-party antivirus programs aside from MalwareBytes) does more harm than good. Windows Defender (which comes with the operating system) is more than enough for the average person. Unless you've got a huge, bad habit of clicking on things you shouldn't be and installing everything without doing some due diligence, they aren't really necessary. For the GPU driver, realistically you don't even need to update them but once a year, maybe twice. And as far as price goes, yeah, you will be spending a lot more than on a console, but the contrast that makes up for it is 1) you can REGULARLY get innumerable games on sale, 2) you have multiple storefronts and services for getting games, and 3) emulation (hundreds and hundreds of retro games available with insane customization). Plus a really nice bonus is the ability to use just about any controller you want; and said controller can even be a whole substitute for the mouse and keyboard for normal computer operation (I do it, myself, because of arthritis). The one thing I will say, above all else, for any PC person right now and for the forseeable future: Please for the love of god stay away from Windows 11. Windows 10 is still fully functional, still getting support through 2025 at least, has much more stable compatibility, is pretty much finished and thus far less buggy, and is not as predatory/telemetry-heavy (which impacts performance even if the system is sitting idle/you're only doing basic, casual tasks like web browsing or file searching).

I Ve the lego And the ally z1e….lenovo wins. Not much about the 8,8 screen but Games RUNS BETTER. Steam deck is for me pretty useless. The valve console is great for indie games.

I have both an Xbox Series X and a PC with a 4070ti Super. They're both great, but if I had to just pick one for gaming, I'd definitely go with the Xbox. Even when you factor in the cost of the online subscription to play online, it's much cheaper than PC, and much more convenient when you just want to game without the extra hoops you need to jump through on PC. Game developers treat PC like an afterthought these days, with ridiculously unoptimized titles at launch. PC is also getting crazy expensive. My GPU alone cost me double what my entire Xbox cost. Sure, I can play games at much higher frame rates with much better graphics at a higher resolution, but in the end, I'm playing the same game as little Timmy on his $250 Series S.

Odd thing happening to me. I made sure my Windows 11 was up to date, checked for updates, installed the Nvidia drivers, made sure it was put right and the 165 Hz of my Dell monitor was on in the settings of that Nvidia app. Made sure it was working. Turned on HDR, turned on frames on screen in my display settings, in left upper corner, 165 Hz, great. Now I install Call of Duty Black Ops 6, wait for the download, took about an hour. Now I adjust the settings to balanced, it's a choice of pre-made settings in the game and than I also turned on V-sync, it's part of my monitors settings so I know I have it of course. Nvidia 4070 Super 12GB GDDR6X GPU. Ok, and do a test as a test is built in, great, I get anywhere from 110 to full 165 Hz, awesome! Play multiplayer and oh man, even though I am getting the high FPS for sure as I see it high in the corner of the screen, high frame rate. It's skipping a lot, the frames slow down and freeze the screen for a little small second here and there. So that was odd. I play it on Game Pass, so yeah pretty much free of course. I also own the game on PS5. I have a PS5 Pro system. Wow oh wow, no frame skipping, no slow downs, no freezes, no problems at all on PS5 Pro. So I went back to PC, turned off V-sync, turned on these special settings for 40 series cards which I have of course, still frame skips and freezing little issues. So it was odd. I got better stable FPS on PS5 Pro and the frame rate was just always skipping and freezing issues on PC. So it's very odd because the Nvidia 4070 Super 12GB GDDR6X has 33.5 teraflops while the PS5 Pro has 16.7 teraflops, and overall the PS5 Pro gave me a more steady frame rate and the gaming PC didn't. Now I've played again on PC the COD BO6 game, it no longer has the issues, I guess it was a problem because there was a hacker in the game or a player with really bad internet connection or something. But now on PC the frame rate is great again. But overall it's still odd that I have never had FPS problems on PS5 ever. And yes I have a 120 Hz TV with VRR and all those PS5 settings enabled.

Rog ally x is the best battery handheld and you can install the steam deck os…. Its just not oled but better battery and and can play everything with no compromise.

Rsr works fantastic on the legion go 15 watts gives about 2 hrs . Its great. I play God of war Ragnorok 1200 p upscalef

I would never get a OLED with forever fake and flat colors and eye fatigue flickering in dark if I can choose. My iPad is LCD, my Switch is LCD, my Lego is LCD. To me high-res LCD is crystal clear and looks way more natural clear and comfortable than OLED. Lego has the best tablet/handheld display hands down.

My friend i am 40 i truly grew up with them as they came out i am one of the guy's who us to use ACE as a game name in high score's i only said one of the guy's because i am sure i was not the only guy to do that but i remember useing that name about 10 year's ago and must of been some kid online say's ACE how Original and i said hey kid or whoever i was the guy to use ACE in the high score's as i Literally grew up playing each system and in the Arcades as a 10-year-old in 94 putting in ACE 😂😂 anyways just wanted to sure yes I didn't play atari cause I didn't really like it but I didn't play Nintendo yes i know it came out in 1985 i was bron in 84 but i have one in the 80's then sega then N64 PS1 PS2 PS3 PS4 PS5 and all the Xbox's gameing truly is and still is a big part of my life i really live how amazingly good they have gotten.

Was on the Z1 for about a year and just picked up the Legion Go 1TB at best buy for $550. Honestly, consider it an upgrade over the Ally. You just cant beat the screen on the LeGo and its a way more versatile device (detachable controllers, use it as a tablet, multiple USB-c inputs, etc). Think I would take the LeGo even over the Ally X. Its a great device.

Great review and true assessment. I thought about upgrading, but I barely have had time to play my current PS5 games. So, I'll wait until it comes down in price a little, or just wait until PS6.

I have a Legion 7i Pro 16 RTX4090 laptop, but I use Legion Go for chill gaming. I used the Steam deck until Legion Go came out. The bigger screen is just too good. I always run my Legion Go in 800p mode. The steam deck is more accessible for picking up and pausing a game.

Bro I love this video. Im a huge HUGE OLED advocate on TVs and the problem you have is the same problem I went through on the TV front. I own an LG C4 Oled tv and after watching movies/TV on it i refuse to go into any other technologies for tvs (LCD, LED, etc). Oled is simply the best. You just cannot beat the inky black contrast ratios. If that experience has taught me anything it is this: I will never own an OLED handheld gaming device. Never f****** ever unless it becomes industry standard. No matter how good a device is, you will rememebr that device you had that was oled and it will ruin the experience you have on any other device you play on even if the performance differences are night and day - wont matter if it is the Steam Deck 2, wont matter if it is the Legion Go 2, wont matter if it is the Ally 2 - OLED is the best lol. Its why im afraid to even game on the OLED Deck. Wont do it. Right now the Legion Go is the best for me and it is staying that way - will never touch that oled deck lol

Personally, i like the idea of faster FPS, potentially better detail and potentially quiter and cooler temps. Totally overpriced, but eh. i bought it because fuck it. Yes i know you need a tv that takes advantage of the extra detail etc.

Main reason why there’s not a huge difference is because the Pro has the exact same CPU as the base ps5 so it limits the system 🥴. Also We’re kind of at a plateau fidelity wise as far as technology goes which is why Frame rate (which is more important anyway) should be the bigger priority. One reason why I switched to PC gaming lol

I think the Steam Deck is pretty much unbeatable for indy games and older 3D games (from the 2010s and back), the Asus ROG Ally and LeGo I feel are too overkill for that. I have a LeGo and I've been playing modded Skyrim on it (lots of graphics mods) and I've been wanting to catch up on some titles that have come out in the last few years (like Cyberpunk, Atomic Heart, etc.) and I think the LeGo will be great for that. I also have a dock setup so I can use my LeGo as a desktop PC if need be.

I had the steam deck 64gb lcd screen loved it. Recently sold it and just bought a lenovo legion go on black Friday sale. Loving the ips lcd screen. Bought it for emulation. (Beginner here)

I use my legion mainly for Diablo 4 which runs pretty well at 60FPS. For more demanding and more immersive games i use my desktop PC since i can't really immerse myself into these games on this 9 inch screen. Also i can't really deal with games running below 60 fps. It's still impressive what this thing is able to do. I never had all these issues with Windows.

If u have an older tv or a lower to mid tier LED, don’t buy a PS5 Pro because you’re not gonna notice the difference because that tv is not gonna have the specs to match the Pro but if u had an MLA or QD-OLED then that’s when the difference becomes more noticeable. Those people returning their pros and say there’s no difference may need to consider upgrading the tv b4 they return it or don’t buy one at all

im not a pro on sound nor visuals. but id recomend changing your voice settings a bit, you sound a bit off, and too many pops, get the mic. and maybe change the exposure on your camra, or the lighting in your room / screens would be a neet upgrade to your videos! and keep it going!

I'm more worried about the Trump tariffs sorry for being political, but it is kind of a mandatory thing to bring up. It is possible the PS5 pro could be $950 or $1,000 that could affect the sales

I feel like stick on the legion just make it a no brainer. Steam deck will get stick drift eventually and the docked play is horrible when playing harder titles

one is definitely going to need the Pro, when GTA6 comes out, Base PS5 probably won't run it as smooth as possible

I brought the ps5 slim with disc drive 2 weeks ago on sale. I am not paying $1199.00 AUD and still need a drive which you cannot get here at the moment. I am coming from a PS3. So I will enjoy the 5 slim. Thanks for the video

Imo PS5 Pro is needed for third party games not first party games. First party games look/run good enough already but UE5 games look and run dogshit imo and if properly optimised PS5 Pro games in the future will improve how those games look and run it's already worth the money for me.
