    After riding an FZ1 for a year now, I am a Yamaha guy. I never rode a 600cc. Went from Ninja 400 to FZ1, but would still like to ride a 600. I just like the more upright position of the FZ1 and the more mid range torque.

    Awesome to see this video showcasing what is practically "my bike." Mine is a 2013 with that same exact matte grey scheme, except mine has the black rims with the red accent instead of the gold rims. I really wanted the gold rims from 2014 but I just happened to find a deal in my area for the 2013. Not a huge deal.
    P.S. I always keep both beams on no matter the time of day because the single light thing peeves me too.

    The best thing about riding an R6 is that it's tame at lower RPMs. BUT once you hit that 10k it feels like the boost just kicked in and there's no other feeling like it..it really feels like something is just pushing you from the back.. To help with the low end power do two things 1. Flash your ecu, yamaha restricts throttle response to meet emission standards, so flashing ur ecu can remove the restrictions and give you 100% power like it should be.
    2. Add two teeth to rear sprocket and go down 1 on the front sprocket, this will increase acceleration

Why are these idiots see a sport bike they want to race? I'm not into racing, or much of speed since my bike is only a 300cc. So when the light turned green this fool want to prove something by peeling out to the next light, of course I wouldn't have any part of it, so I just let him do his thing. I did confront this moron when I reached him at the next red light with sarcasm. I said, oh my God what a race car, youre so fast man. Last thing I said was moron! The sheer stupidity of his act, and seeing that I didn't participate, in my comments to him. I think he got embarrassed and just made a turn somewhere else. Why are these morons they want to race in public streets? I didn't give any hints, or looked at them that I want to race. Like I said I'm all for the ride, and seeing different locales. When I'm in the freeway I may tend to go a little fast, but I would never jeopardize my life with this nonsense.

My v twins are very fast, my R1 is stupid fast . When they find they can't come close, they will run the next red light to prove they can " beat " me. I have a 1997 Yamaha YZF750, of the big 4 I would consider yamaha to be my least favorite but I love old bikes and I got it for a good price. What I love about it over any new 600 is that it has a very linear power band, It makes good power from 3000 to its 13K redline. 750 Is the magic displacement, Rides good in town, cruises great on the highway and at wide open it still outruns new 600s

    • @caseyheeren5087
      @caseyheeren5087 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      6 month old question but I feel I can give you a solid answer. My ex actually used to have a Street Triple we did a drag race with em. The Triumph stuck within a bike length up to about 100mph. After that the R6 pulled away. It seems they have very similar power and the fairings made all the difference at higher speed. That being said the Triumph has a smoother power curve and is easier to launch. The R6 takes a very skilled rider to launch well

    The 600 I rode kept up decently with the other bikes until I had to shift to a higher gear to go faster and the 1000s just kept going. When they hit 100 they were just switching to 3rd gear I think.

    just get it dyno tuned.
    I have a2016 636 and it was a beast in the lower end, but it was running very rich. It would pull hard on every gear almost, got it dyno tuned then the bike got slow as hell. it ended up just like this r6. Bc the rpm was at 6k at like 60mph. So i took it back, and he re did it and it was doing it bc kawasaki put eco mode on the bike. So now its back to normal, alot smoother and still wakes up at 10k and up but low and mid end is still pretty aggressive without harming the engine.
