I currently own a Panigale V4 and can attest to this. I had an R6 for the longest time after upgrading from an R3 after 2 years of riding. And undoubtedly that was all the bike I ever needed for the street/track. The R6 taught me something new every time I hopped on the bike or went to a track day. I never was going to be able to ride that bike to its full potential and resorted upgrading to a 1000 to make up what I lacked for in skill. That’s the honest truth. But the R6 is plenty of bike for anyone. I don’t care what anyone says.
As a s1k owner yes it’s dope to have the power of a full liter bike but honestly it’s not necessary a 600 geared correctly can be just as fun and check all the boxes

The best 600 ever made!! So balanced! I got it as my first bike and i will keep it. Forgave me so many mistakes as a newbie rider. Can't get enough of that bike.

Although I will say, the lack of low down torque is noticeable and I can understand why a 1000 would likely be a bit more of an all rounder on the street. Insane speed when you want it, and enough torque to overtake without needing to shift down once or twice.

I have 10000 hours of car track racing, no body in friends with who I would consider “auto enthusiasts” can even come close to keeping up with me even when I’m not even pushing it hard. I have buddies all the time put lap after lap thinking they’re doing god tier times, me without warming up, will beat their times by normally 5-8 seconds on my “warm up” lap. I know when I get a zx4rr, I’ll keep it most likely 7 years to learn every aspect of bike racing before moving up.
if I have a bike like that I wouldn’t even ride it in highways. I would just casually ride it near my house, park it , admire it, go home, admire it evn more 😍.

Learned how to ride on an r6. The only reason I think its not a good beginner bike is u only use 2 maybe 3 gears….ya can go over 80 in 2nd….so u never truly learn how to us all gears….looking at an mto3 or 07 or cfmoto cf300 so i can re learn how to ride….go fast beat almost all = r6 wanna become a talented rider….start smaller…just my PSA dor today

I want to make a heretical R6. A bike that would make stock purists have a heart attack, and when they recover from that heart attack make them wanna attack me. Yes, I want to turbo an R6. What power gains would I gain from this? Nil, but it'll be funny. Would it be an even less practical bike than it was? Yes, but it'll be funny. To compensate I'll drop a tooth from the final drive up front and add three to the rear. I'll throw in some extra mufflers so that I can hear the turbo spool and the sweet whine of the crank. It'll be heretical, but it'll also be cool as fuck.
I need you to talk a lot of trash on the R6 for a couple months. Hopefully then the prices will go back down. People out here sellin 7 year old R6 with 15k miles and busted fairings for the price of a new R1. Its ridiculous. Cant even find an early 2000s for under 6-7k. Then again i live in hell, aka harley country, so sport bikes are far and few between.

R6 is definitely NOT the miata of sports bikes. The R6 is a full on performance race bike on the streets, the Miata most certainly is NOT that (owned a miata so I know what I'm talking about)
R6 is the best handling bike Yamaha makes. Better than R1. It also does 0-200km/h in 10 seconds. A performance Miata does 0-200km/h in over 30 seconds lol.

I’ve never heard of those shorty levers cutting gloves, but they can have a cheap feel if they’re not well made. You went through all those desquid changes and threw some tiny, useless bar end mirrors really feels more like product placement than good content

Why bar end mirrors? You can fold the fairing mirrors in to filter through a narrow space. Bin that tinted screen and aliexpress levers though!
