Would be cool to see you actually drive them around the world for a bit. Add some weight to them and race em across a desert or ice lake. Great video btw!
This is actually the sort of thing I need right now. Playing Splitsie's Scrapyard Survival in SP atm, and am challenging myself to existing entirely off of my vehicle, and with the dunes and mountains and spending so much time on the move, this inspiration is just what I need. The only thing better might be a cheeky tutorial if ever you find the time :P
Oh how i would love to have access to this world lol iv been working on suspension designs for a bit over a year now and i feel like checking out the nitty gritty details of your ideas might help me work out some of the issues/ ideas that iv got stuck in my head some of these are scary close to what iv been designing and others are so far off what i would even think its crazy yet it works so well lol job well done good sir!!!
My friend, have you heard of Gauge's Grid Garage? You could store all those grids so they are safe and don't bog down the world just from existing. You're using subgrids so I know for a fact it will help stabilize your sim speed (and keep your room temps down lol)
How ironic that you've used almost the exact same Suspension, with the same style of design, and blocks at ( 8:11 ) That I've created with my friend, too my big heavy load cargo rover.
The suspension on the last two vegicles is super impressive! However I would be a bit afraid of a rover like this leaning to the side a bit too much (risking tipping over) when going through curves too fast or driving on an inclined plane. Another factor that I would love to see compared is how well these systems handle jumps without breaking!
There is way to controll subgrid wheels in vanilla and its not WASD converter design... but its about event contollers wich are set if pushed controll button it does override like pushing w gives you little and than you can hook up EC on timer block wich can have increase overridfe one every page so triggering such TB will result in max override wich is toglable by one button press or in this case by Evewnt contoller, do the same for backwards contoll and stearing goroup so ye it requres like 8 bcs you can bind EC on button unpress so it can be used to top accelerating via override from TB. Amount of acceleration you can adjust via putting less pages of overrife into TB. Theres video from Kelevra engeneering wich explains this 16816168X better but script is cool and im se it anyways too
Aside from off, what settings do you use for the various hinges pistons and rotors? I played around a little bit with an independent front suspension: hinge attached to a central beam running the length of the buggy, solid arm from the hinge to a wheel suspension. I intended to use the settings of the hinge to determine travel and resistance and limits but couldn't get it dialed in.
It really depends on what I’m using them for. If I want it to be a free movement it’s off, if I want it to have a bit of spring I tend to have a velocity set on it then change the force depending on the weight
that is really cool suspension great for most terrain i reckon thanks sharing

really cool! could you maybe make a helicopter mechanically work? like the rotors being driven with gear like structures? maybe a cool challenge.
Another awesome video

Great video! I think the 6x6 version would be awesome if you separated or removed the 3rd axle.
I had the same thought
This is incredibly satisfying
Impressive!
These look really cool

I would love to be able to build that suspension, I just don't understand how to attach things to wheel suspensions

I like the last one's front axle and the one before it's rear axle, I'm sure they're the same but that seem to be the most stable Style

@@quantumchief thanks. This helps a lot.
There is a link in the workshop?
Hello
Hi
How have i only just now found another quantum....
Now there are two of us... this is getting out of hand..
Since I’m a chef does that mean I’m in charge of them all?
@@quantumchief I can't confirm or deny this. but you're making me want to make a rover, and my series doesn't not need another project lol.
@@Quantum_Tator haha, good luck
