I lived in SLC for 4 years, Mike at West Valley Hobbies is the man, he puts on awesome crawler events and is really knowledgeable. He helped me wire and solder one of my builds in store on the counter, I thought that was awesome!
U R the Very best I've seen in a long while about describe a video please don't Ever go Away im almost finished with my axial capra 1.9, can't wait for the next video.
Haley, your videos are Awesome. I have a Losi 22-4 2.0 4wd buggy my electronics of choice are the Reedy 510R brushless ESC with the programmer 2 box, Hobbywing modified motor, hi-tech servo and spektrum 6300mah 7.6v LIHV lipo shorty high performance battery pack. When you do your next build give these electronics a try, They wont disappoint you. It's Awesome to See ladies like yourself in the RC hobbie. Your Videos are awesome keeping them coming. Aaron
Gosh I just freaking love how precisely neat you are and each step being explicably clear in your verbal detailing smh...and I also love the matte finish -I’m such a fan for matte finished layers, thank you once again for this mesmerizing video(if you didn’t label the split screen detailing which one is the tiny Jeep vs the human sized version I would’ve considered it to be the same Jeep from two different angles ) 😄😄😄😁😁😁☺️☺️😌😌😌
Wow I'm just getting started with my first rc Everest # 7 and with your lead and advice I have a lot to learn not to mention your bright and pretty makes alot more interesting to view your videos thanks so far.
Try out automotive paints from auto parts store. A little more than HD, but cheaper than RC shop. They lay better and go on thinner. Plus they have actual automotive colors.
Excellent!! Its nice to see someone using alternate paints, I have been using automotive paint to do my hard bodies for 20 yrs!! And paint like your using for all the details!! But the matte clear is my new favorite! Your truck turned out great! Iam gonna suggest this video on my channel!
I de chromed my Trx Bronco bumpers by lightly sanding them and spraying matt black quick and very effective! good to see another way for all my future builds thanks 👍👍👍👍
Rc girl that looks awesome and I think that the paint imperfections make it more realistic looking for an 80s like farm truck. Great vid take care and stay safe 👍🤘
Very nice work. I'm aware that this video is a couple of years old but I wanted to mention that (you probably already know this), I learned from another youtuber that he used "Super Cleaner" purple degreaser that you can purchase in automotive stores or Walmart, and it desovles the chrome from plastic parts. I tried it on the beadlock wheels from my Redcat Gen 8 and it works wonders! The chrome vanishes. Just a though. Rather than using that nasty Easy Off that can harm you in many ways.
Sorry I forgot to mention mog pog is for glueing in the clear plastic wind shields. I’ve heard it works great and doesn’t haze ghost or fade the clear plastic. Just try a corner of a clear plastic sprue to another clear plastic sprue ( frame that holds the plastic wind shields on) to make sure it drys clear
Love how that turned out. I desperately want to recreate the Back To The Future truck on a SCX10 II frame. I know it's been done a million times, but I just love that iconic truck and the movie.
Awesome video and awesome paint job!! Also quick thought, I’ve dropped many RC things down my sink in my bathroom when it falls down I turn the water off right away, and no matter the weight or size it stays at the bottom U pipe under the sink, I’ve recovered O rings. Shock rod ends, etc, if you have a way of unscrewing the U pipe under the sink I bet the door handle is sitting at the Bottom! 😅
To easily remove “chrome” from plastic parts use simple green. Soak for about 10 minutes and it falls right off and much less corrosive than oven cleaner. 👍
Have you tried mog pog for clear plastic wind shields. I have heard people use it for wind shields on plastic vehicle models and it drys clear with no ghosting hazing or fading the clear plastic. You can pick it up at Walmart or any other craft stores. There are a few different types of mog pog so get the one that drys clear
Has it been 4 years? Wow! Good job on the 50k! I found that emory boards work great for detail sanding. I like the Krylon Plastic paint better. I think it is called Fusion. I was looking for tail light lens paint and saw some $1 fingernail polish in the checkout line and it worked OK. Thanks for the video!
When you clean the tip/cap on the paint can turn the can upside down and spray it until it comes our clear 👍 don't worry about wasting the propellant theres more in the can than you need to empty the paint and that way you can blow all the paint out of the cap. Also for a few bucks you can get caps that have a much wider and softer spray pattern, for hardware store cans with the nozzle that sticks out of the can into the cap like Rustoleum you want "female" caps, the best are "female fat caps" from ArtPrimo.com and they ship from San Francisco 👍 theres also male fat caps that work with the cans that have the "old" style valve with a post on the cap that fits in a hole in the top of the can, the will fit in a Tamiya can, DO NOT try it. The extra pressure from the larger orifice in the cap will make a Tamiya valve explode and volcano paint everywhere. 😂 theyre meant for European art/graffiti paint and most American hobby cans will pop if you try fat caps in them. The graffiti cans are also great, much higher pigment content, some are high pressure so no shaking, low VOCs for the trees, and dries instantly. However some of it goes on THICC if your not careful lol
Really nice work on the painting and it is only going to get cooler once you weather it to look its age. Doing that will make it unique and stand out in videos out on the trails.
They cost a little more then Rust Oleum but the VHT brand and Dupli Color brand of spray paint lay on a lot nicer, and they have some more unique colors, you can find them online or at autopart stores.
Looks awesome! Paint turned out great. Love the look of the bumpers too. Aaron from RC SPARKS, something that I remember, he uses neon Sharpies on his light lenses.
Your videos are excellent and a great source of inspiration to try different things with my truck. I would like to know if you had to move any electronics around to fit the interior?
Great vid and truck came out looking great too 👍👍👍 Soo are we also going to see more 1:1 crawling from your side, seems like you liked it!!. Keep up the great work, curious to see your weathering results 👍👍
yeah I'm so impressed with all the model painting techniques out there! I went down a rabbit hole and have been watching a lot of different gundam and model weathering tutorials...
would be cool to do a side by side real and rc car but without engine noise or spectators - to see if you can make it real enough that its hard to distinguish
Hi, consider buying a hobby airbrush and compressor. It's quite easy to use for painting RC car bodies even with a basic airbrush. Plus, you have a far bigger range of paint to choose from.
You cannot. It's not as flexible and won't stick to lexan as well as the specific lexan paints. It would quickly flake off and make a mess. Stick with lexan paint for lexan 👍
That truck is Supposed to be black , And Jennifer didn’t have blond hair RC Girl!! But I’ll forgive you because your like a Fine wine, you just better with age😘. Just not a (Claret red)! Im thinking a Merlot should do it . Nice to see you back

thanks! so many different options out there.
Cool i hate how you buy like a 10.00$ can of tamiya and have to go back cause you could only do the hood and doors
Excellent!! Its nice to see someone using alternate paints, I have been using automotive paint to do my hard bodies for 20 yrs!! And paint like your using for all the details!! But the matte clear is my new favorite! Your truck turned out great! Iam gonna suggest this video on my channel!
That cleaner really worked like a champ 🙌🏼 and what an awesome build!
I de chromed my Trx Bronco bumpers by lightly sanding them and spraying matt black quick and very effective! good to see another way for all my future builds thanks 👍👍👍👍
i just finished mine in primer gray on an SSD chassis. I took all the chrome off and the trim is all black, i like that look.

That body is awesome, love the paint job too 👍👍
Hi rc girl nice job i love it so much
I just order the Toyota 4runner as my first buddy kit for my first crawler rebuild, a RC4WD TF2

Looks great I use the same paint on my rc restoration videos. Thanks 🙏
PS-53 For this little black Duck!!! 😎
Okay, so maybe not on a plastic body, but for sure on a Lexan body!!!

Close the stopper, or get a drain screen.
Finally you're back !! excellent painting

Wow!!!! It looks awesome!!!! Great choice on not making another BTTF truck. Nice side by side too. Wheeling and RC'ing is always my kinda of day.
haha but the BTTF builds are so cool!!
Came out clean
Has it been 4 years? Wow! Good job on the 50k!

Done by a beautiful lady 😍
Really nice work on the painting and it is only going to get cooler once you weather it to look its age. Doing that will make it unique and stand out in videos out on the trails.
Those carboard like finger nail files work good for sanding sticks
They cost a little more then Rust Oleum but the VHT brand and Dupli Color brand of spray paint lay on a lot nicer, and they have some more unique colors, you can find them online or at autopart stores.
Thanks, I'll have to look into those
The chickens! 😂 Love how precise you are. Nice job!
Hah they need some pants! Next... the weathering, which is more of an art. Nervous!
@@RCGirl You'll nail it!
Great paint job 👍😎
Well done as usual!
Thanks for the answer @ 0:39
But.... Marty drove an 85,' grille is different. These front fenders also look a little 2wd..ish?
Love it!
Great job.
You’re good at this ..as you know
😊 👍
Cool build 🚗 🚘
Looks so cool
Looks awesome! Paint turned out great. Love the look of the bumpers too. Aaron from RC SPARKS, something that I remember, he uses neon Sharpies on his light lenses.
Yep sharpies will work too!
Nice work 🙋♂️🤗👍
That is a great color! 😲 ...now I have to buy a new hard body! 🤦🏽♂️
That came out nice 👍🤠
Great job really nice truck.
Your videos are excellent and a great source of inspiration to try different things with my truck. I would like to know if you had to move any electronics around to fit the interior?
Welcome back! Cool chickens! Missed Moab this year, dumb virus. Great job as always 😜
awesome job my friend , the paint job is perfect , I love the look and the final result ! , well done
cheers from France ! :-)
Вышло отлично👍👍👍. Ты волшебница🎉🎉🎉
Great project, solid video 😎
I was ordering some items to start this build and was wondering what receiver housing you used? Thanks love your channel!
AWESOME!!!
Paint job come out great if we're going to weather it you'll have to drill some holes in the body with a grinder and then paint
Yeah I'm gonna have to muck it up. Wanted to share the "fresh from the factory" look in this vid just in case I ruin it 😂
Nicely done
I just built this kit, the windows were a right pain to do probably the hardest part
jolie réalisation bravo
Nice, great video as usual 🤗
Greetings from Austria 🇦🇹☀️💜
Greetings!
You are so beautifully 💓💓💓💓💓💓😊😊😊😊😊😊
Great vid and truck came out looking great too 👍👍👍
Soo are we also going to see more 1:1 crawling from your side, seems like you liked it!!.
Keep up the great work, curious to see your weathering results 👍👍
1:1 was soooo fun! I've been dreaming of starting a channel where i buy a beater XJ and fix it up... maybe someday
@@RCGirl haha, so we can expect another channel from your side fixing your own XJ up for 1:1 crawling. GREAT looking forward to that
Hi, Nice job!
🦅👍 shout out to the modelers

Hi I have just signed up to your patreon account, keep the video coming,😀😀😀
Saw that! Awesome, thanks so much!!! working towards picking up a 3-D printer next...
Nice job 💪💯
This is my father car ... Nice guys
Ahhh! She said my name!
You're famous! :)
Did you have to cut in the interior to accommodate the transmission?
Awesome build! I really like that truck. Congrats on 50k! Keep doin what your doin👍. Be honest, when are you picking up a Razor 😉?
haha I don't know but it was SOO fun!
@@RCGirl If you get a Razor that will be the end of your RCing. Especially if you have places to ride near your house. Won't be time for both.
Hi, consider buying a hobby airbrush and compressor. It's quite easy to use for painting RC car bodies even with a basic airbrush. Plus, you have a far bigger range of paint to choose from.
I have one but use it for lexan mostly.

@@mtnmyke Thanks friend! That's what I thought. 00
How long did u soak the chrome?
I wish 12$ each can is that here in Canada lol. Last hardbody had me spend 40$ cad on a can of 2k epoxy primer lol :(
Ah bummer, they are like $4 each here
That truck is Supposed to be black , And Jennifer didn’t have blond hair RC Girl!!
But I’ll forgive you because your like a Fine wine, you just better with age😘.
Just not a (Claret red)! Im thinking a Merlot should do it .
Nice to see you back
Should've done the black toyota from back to the future.
Everyone is doing that though 😉
@@mtnmyke true.
Can you please tell me where you bought Toyota hardbody. Many thanks
Mcflys was in a 1985 toyota. but same basic body.
If you’re out actually driving your RC clear coat comes off just as fast the paint when you rubbing rocks.
Complimenti sia al bodykit sia alla ragazza nel video
How much wider is your track width then body?
use the tamiya nozzles xxx
Marty had an 85, which would make more sense it being a solid axle.
