New for March 2022, Daiwa unveils the Tatula 80 size baitcasting reel. A combination of factors has led Daiwa to introduce this compact and efficient casting reel, with a push from manufacturers to make smaller reels for ergonomics in addition to a boom in the fishing market with a rise in participation from youth and female anglers (or just anyone with smaller hands). The Tatula 80 is compact and features an aluminum frame, graphite drag star, and covers all gear ratios needed for any bass fishing application. Rather get the sv 70 for extra $30

I tend to agree, but hard to tell if it’s the same reel. It might be built a little lighter and less sturdy with the intention of being a finesse reel.

@@jamesh7469 70 has sv spool , 80 doesn’t have it , same body reel , both t wing

@@basschaser9356 The 70 has a smaller spool (the SV Spool), which will make it better for casting light baits and target casting. The 80 will have better casting distance than the SV.
