Lyft is staffed with a bunch of pussies that have no life! Everyone of those pussies claim to be a driver as well, but the policy is, deactivate is GONE, no matter what! It is not the same for passengers, as they can simply make sure the driver who had the problem with a passenger will never get him again!

@@TheTIMWING yeah it is bullshit. What amazes me is they are putting these passengers way up there on a pedestal and throwing us to the curb side like a piece of trash but these people that want rides are people that don't have a driver's license they probably have a felony they probably have like who knows how many DUIs they are irresponsible they can't even get a fucking driver's license and buy a car and yet all of a sudden there word is is taken like it's the gospel it's ridiculous that they just throw the drivers to the side like we're pieces of trash. I just had it done to me by Lyft with no explanation I had five star rating all good comments but I started driving in this one ghetto area because it was always busy and that's what happened to me I'm I'm a white person so these racist black people wanted a free ride and that's what they did to me I made a big mistake by going there that's why nobody wants to drive there the heat map is always it's like they need drivers now I understand nobody wants to drive in that area I did it it was Lauderhill and Lauderdale Lakes Florida don't ever drive in that area they all want free rides and if you are white person all they will take it like nothing they'll just call make a bogus complaint so they can get a free ride and you know what fuck them I can't wait their karma is coming because I am not an unsafe driver at all I don't have any speeding tickets and I've never been an accident I've been driving for over 25 years

The problem is, about 5% of UBER personnel make all the decisions blindly. The bottom 95% are left to explain why it was done, when they do not really know. The end result is a bunch of garbage responses and stall tactics. A simple data base requiring the manager who deactivated you to state why it was done would easily solve this.
I stopped driving for UBER in 2015. They are the worst employer I have ever dealt with. Those robotic emails that barely answer your questions are so frustrating. Its hard to believe its an American company.

    • @gia9551
      @gia9551 6 ปีที่แล้ว

Jonathan Philmore that's the problem right there, uber is not an employer. You can't expect them to behave like one or follow the rules of employers. You agree when you sign up that you do not work for uber if you're a driver. You're an independent contractor.

I just started working for Lyft less than two weeks ago and was really liking it, that is until this past Sunday evening. I was working the Dallas Lovefield airport and my last ride ended around 12:30am and was heading home. About 20 minutes later, I was notified that I had been deactivated for possibly violating their Terms of Service, a rider had reported me as seeming to be intoxicated, said I ran a red light and that I was speeding. I was speechless, I thought for sure this was a mistake. I am 53 years old and haven't had as much as a speeding ticket since I was 19 years old, nor have I been in any type of car accident since I was 21 and I drive a lot. I don't even drink socially or do any type of drugs. My kids often tease me saying I drive like an old grannie because I stick to the speed limit and rarely go about 3 miles over the speed limit. I am not sure what my recourse is, I didn't have a dashcam (I have now ordered one) and my being new, I don't have a track record yet, I was only at 15 rides or so. I have just signed up with Uber and that process went quickly, but I have not heard back from Lyft. I have sent them two emails, one right after they sent me the one stating I was suspended and another much more thought out one two days ago pleading my case. I don't know how they investigate these allegations, I don't even know why someone would say such things because I know I didn't run a red light and I also know I never sped. But if I were Lyft, my thinking would be, if we let this person drive again and she is a drinker, what if she kills someone while on a fare and we were already warned about her, from a business perspective I could see how they might not let me back. As unfair as this is and believe me, I am so upset this happened, I don't know what other recourse of action I can take. I thought about getting a blood test at the local ER, but found out my insurance wouldn't cover that and it was more than I could afford at the moment. For now, I will go drive for uber, but it is disturbing that no one has called to ask me my side, nor have I received any more emails from them. The wait is not an easy one.

My step-dad was deactivated. My Mom and him didn't read through the rules completely and weren't aware you were not allowed more than just the driver in the car, apparently one of their riders reported this and Uber sent a warning email to my Dad that night. Basically stating that it's against the rules, don't do it again, doing it again can and will result in either suspension or deactivation. Alright, everything was okay, just now he knew he couldn't ride with my Mom anymore. He wakes up THE NEXT MORNING to another email from Uber saying his account was deactivated. What was puzzling was that when he tried to reach out to support and ask them why he was deactivated they sent an email back saying his account was deactivated for being disrespectful to other DRIVERS. What? He didn't know any other drivers. Hell, he didn't even know about the Greenlight Hub so he couldn't have offended anybody in there! More to the point, he's NOT disrespectful. To ANYONE. Sending an email back stating confusion and asking for clarification only resulted in an even more curt email from Uber saying the same automated message. He was deactivated for being disrespectful to other drivers and the decision was final. Almost a year later, he's driving for Lyft now and no problems. We're still very confused about it though. :(

so this happened to me in the exact way. i was deactivated 12/6 and after 20 (yes twenty) emails, i finally said to them that if i was a NEW driver it would not take this long to do a background check! they did reactivate me, but i missed all of the holiday parties and Christmas eve and day driving. i was just reactivated 12/26. so it took 3 weeks to put me back on app and only 6 hours ( since my last trip December 5th) to kick me off the app!
i asked for some type of compensation, DENIED; i asked for some type of driving bonus/incentive: DENIED.
i was a very frustrating process, but i kept pestering them every one to two days and i did finally find the right words for them to realize that this needed to be fixed, and also i was not going away.

K P I have been not able to log in online on my Uber app since about 2 months now, I joint Uber about 2 years ago, I have a 4.9 star rating, and over 5000 rides, and a ton of positive riders feedback, support, thank you, acknowledgement and praise.
Been to the Daly City and the Oakland Green light hubs over 20 times combined, called the Uber support over a dozen on times, emailed back and forth two dozen of times, Checkr backgrtound check is ALL GREEN ALL CLEAR, AS WELL AS MY CALIFORNIA DMV RECORDS
So, no change or an update so far, and the funny stupid thing is that, over those last two months, my account get turned on then off - not a deactivation - just not able to log in, eight days or ten able to log in over those two months.
What are you going to say about that?! Your experience is not everyone else's experience.

I am in upstate NY. They advertise the green light hub...the address.changes frequently ...and I have been to all of themto try to get some questions answered. There is NEVER anyone there on the day and hours advertised. The "office" moves often and is shared space with any cell phone dealer, hotel/ motel, etc. The representative is NEVER THERE. The store manager ALWAYS SAYS HE HASN'T SEEN OR HEARD FROM UBER GUY IN WEEKS!
Uber tells you to go there and will not believe no one is there...and will not answer my questions about the problems I have been experiencing. I give rides mostly to college students, and most don't leave ratings. I am fairly new...just over a month. Of the first 200+ rides I had, only 122 left ratings. I also had several EXCEPTIONAL comments left by adult riders. I didn't know they were there until one rider told me he looked up my rating and could barely see the page to read it because of the brightness and glow eminating from it. I laughed and said "your kidding". He said he was serious and showed me the page. I was shocked and pleased. A couple of days later.. In the middle of my shift...I couldn't end a ride and leave a rating...and then couldn't get back on line to find out what was going on. I sent an email requesting what the problem was and how to get my app turned back on t o finish my shift. I got an email saying I was deactivated ..no explanation. I explained about the kids I taxi around and in 200 + rides only 122 ratings and several good comments. Only one complaint...from a man trying to get to a luncheon meeting on time and was running real late from morning meetings that went over the allotted time. I did try to help him get to destination as quickly as possible...but within the posted limits. Then he complained that I made him late and didn't take better action to get him there. He was already late when he called forbthe pickup! Oh and one rider said my car was dirty inside. NOT TRUE. There was one paper on the floor that the previous rider dropped behind my seat that I couldn't see from my seat.
Uber tells the riders it will take only 4 minutes from pick up yo destination and it is at least 10-20 minute drive depending on the time of day. Then they blame the drivers if they a re not there in 5 mins. My Mom's neighbor showed me by ordering a pickup at my apt complex to go to her house. It said the ride time would be 4 mins. She said they underestimate the time and mileage all the time on rides.. Then charge her card much more than quoted. No matter what route the driver chose on the trip ordered or time of day...it could not have been completed in 4 mins., without breaking laws for speed limits and traffic lights. Now they say I have to t a ke a class...costing $49 out of my pocket to learn to get higher ratings and wait to be reactivated.

One time they said I was suspended from airport runs due to suspicious activity with my GPS. Then I called to see what that was all about, and they said I wasn't suspended, but my account was flagged, but couldn't say what for sure happened. Then soon after the app update, they started flagging $30+ trips saying they were excessive, but pay surge trips twice as much and taking a few weeks to pay on them, when they were normal trips. That finally stopped. This is my biggest concern driving for Uber right now is them deactivating me for whatever reason, when I haven't done anything wrong or different since the day I started. I can't run Lyft with my car, cause it's just outside of being too old. Otherwise I'd love to have it as a back up. I feel your pain, and frustration. I love uber, just wish they'd have some sort of real driver support where you can talk to a person that speaks same language, and not go through a bunch of bogus reasons for suspension or deativation without some sort of trial. This is my only income right now, and very appreciative to have it, but don't feel confident at all in their system, which just causes extra stress in what should be a stress free job.

Two reasons they found out, not that it was anyone's damn business. 1) I had my logos in place 2) The other "party" got cute with their cell phone. Uber deactivated me within hours, it took Lyft two days. It took Uber two weeks to respond to my emails, and only a 5 minute phone conversation to deactivate me permanently. I have been emailing Lyft, went to the hub, talked to "driver support" multiple times, and I haven't heard anything for two weeks. "I understand your frustration, sir, and I promise to do everything in my power to find out and contact you." Yeah, bullshit! It has now been a month since I was deactivated, and I'm looking into getting a lawyer. I did not violate any of the terms of service, I have not been informed of the process nor how long it takes, and why no one can connect me with someone at the corporate level. They don't care about you. So, don't care about them

I don't understand this. They're no issues and he's deactivated. I was ubering one day and decided to take a dinner break. So I cut off my app and went inside to eat (chik-fila, yumo) and afterwards I turn my app back on and found out I had been deactivated. I called support and they told me something was wrong with my ppwk. Made no sense whatsoever. All my ppwk was current. After about 20 mins they had it straightened out and I was reactivated. Unfortunately I couldn't understand this lady as to what exactly was wrong. But I was able to get back on the road fairly quickly. Kudos to Uber for getting it resolved in a timely fashion. Just still not sure what the issue was to begin with. Glitch? Selective? Who knows..

I think some of the new blood at Uber (especially risk management) is on a mission to purge the older drivers who were vetted under less-than-ideal standards. However, in typical Uber fashion, the execution falls far short of the mission. I was caught up in one of these background “refresh” issues. Uber had me listed as being based in Columbus, GA when in fact I’m based in the Auburn/Montgomery, AL market. Uber’s standards to Chekr is now set to check if the state license issued to the driver matches the state of the market for which the background is requested. Obviously, for me this threw a flag but no one knew how to fix it until I went to the Greenlight Hub in Atlanta.

    • @TheTIMWING

Today marks my 1wk of being deactivated, I was sent a generic mail containing no explanation except 'an issue with a recent trip'...I suspected a lady I had given a pool ride to may have filed a complaint against me...at first I wasn't too worried since I knew I hadn't done anything wrong and was even cordial with her (may be she had some psychological issues..I refuse to draw the race card) I have sent them mails asking for clarification and called them severally to no avail (don't call, it's a waste of time...some Indian guy's just gonna give you practiced responses)....eventually I will be visiting the hub to seek assistance...for now I'm subsisting on Lyft (business is not as good as on Uber unfortunately)....my advice is that drivers shld have a back up plan...these rideshares seem to have very arbitrary dispute resolution procedures...you're very much dispensable the market is saturated.

Tell me about it with Uber they don’t care about the driver. I’ve been unfairly deactivated with no explanation. Even though I’ve checked my background through Checker which shows I have passed every category. My account is still deactivated. In the first eight months I picked up 1000 passengers and still managed to have a 4.9 star rating. In the meantime I’ve been working with Lyft and I have accomplished 6843 rides in the past 4 years with a 5.0 star rating.
I’m not saying Lyft is perfect but Lyft seems to care about drivers a little bit more.

My now personal crusade against Uber as a vet.
The most amazing thing ever just happened after 26 years in
the military, Uber called me a liar and a cheat. Here is my story.
After not driving with Uber for about three months because
my daughter was home from college, I decided to give the old app. My appearance changes somewhat due to growing
a beard from a bad case of hair bumps (recommended by a medical
professional). After the app scans me to
verify my identity within 5 minutes...BOOM...your account has been deactivated
FOREVER. OK, I'll give Uber a call and
explain the beard, not an issue.
NOPE! You are a liar and a cheat
and basically, don’t ever call us again.
Initially, I was just going to let it go, I really wasn't going to drive
that often anyway, the just lose a 4.95 rating driver. Then I thought about it...WTF...who is Uber
to call me a LIAR and a CHEAT? Mind you,
about a year ago, Uber put me in a car with an illegal alien, get pulled over
at a checkpoint, and spend 40 min explaining this to Border Patrol. The same company that can't take pictures of
passengers so you can verify who is getting in a car with now is calling me a
liar and a cheat for having a beard. So,
if you are a vet, move on to Lyft.
    1. They have pictures of the
passenger. 2. They respect Vets. 3. The
guys/gals at customer service are great folks.
Conclusion, Uber cares about Uber and not the person behind
    the wheel. Lesson learned.
By the way, the won't provide a photo of ME!

I had an experience being suspended from Uber with no up front reason given for 2 days. Then they told me that the account was suspended because I had refused to take someone's service dog in my car. Then I remember who it was because there was a man who worked at Amazon here in Seattle who had a large dog with him and at that time I was not allowing pets. When I arrive to pick him up I saw the dog and told him that I don't allow pets. He then became quite agitated and said that every other driver has always taken his dog. I apologize to him and let him know that Uber allows us to make that choice and that I would cancel his ride so that he wouldn't have to pay a cancellation fee and that he could rebook the trip. I advised him to call the driver in advance to ask if they allow dogs. And that was that. The next thing I know my account gets suspended because I didn't take his service dog. Will he never mentioned to me that it was a service dog and quite honestly it was not. If it had been a service dog he would have thought to tell me that. But he was just getting even with me I suppose for not allowing his pet. Any way ever since then I've decided to allow dogs. I love dogs but certain breeds can leave a mess of fur in your car that you then have to vacuum out. Anyway that is my story and yes I do know and understand the frustration of getting your account deactivated without an explanation. It really makes you feel vulnerable and I to advise having a plan B such as driving for Lyft or even a plan C

Lyft is becoming more the rideshare choice to use here in San Antonio Tx. Drivers here in San Antonio would rather kick their Lyft app on before considering uber.

Same thing happened to Terry from Terry Tips channel. Check out a couple of his latest videos. He was just reactivated by Uber after about a month but in that time he has become a big Lyft fan and will only use Uber secondary from now on, whereas before it was just the reverse. Check out some of his other videos including the one where he found out he was deactivated; very funny!
Bottom line is that Uber is driving more people to Lyft just by having incapable support staff; and worse, they are losing some of their best drivers. They had better smarten up and get their act together or they will continue to lose to Lyft due to nothing more than their own stupidity in not addressing these support issues with competent and caring staff.

Had a similar thing with Uber asking me to provide insurance policy information or I would be deactivated. Turned out to be a mistake caused by some computer glitch. Added another car to my account, they said that the picture of the title was not correct and didn't activate that car on my vehicle list for two weeks. Turned out to be an error by the person who evaluates them. Not a response from e-mail and as I am in a small city they don't have an Hub just a small office that has visiting time like twice a week from 2 pm to 4 pm, so those who have a day job don't have a chance to visit. Yeah, really well done Uber with your cost cutting. With all the Artificial Intelligence I 'm really worried that once Uber has self driving cars those will eventually be stopping in the middle of highways and cross sections because of those endless computer errors and causing more harm than human drivers will. If Uber even exists in 15 years. Which I strongly doubt.

After I contest it UBER reactivates me with a message "Similar claims in the future may lead to permanent deactivation of your account". Not only did they fail to check my account and see that I wasn't driving at the time this person made up this claim about me but they give me a warning message as if I actually did something wrong. Same thing happened to me. I was in a accident where I was rear ended at a stop light by a distracted driver. WA State requires a accident be listed on DMV if a police report is taken regardless of fault. I had no tickets attached to the accident on the DMV report. I sent UBER a copy of the police report showing the other person was responsible for accident. I also sent a document from my insurence saying other person responsible 100 percent. But CHECKR there back ground contractor rejected me because the accident was on my report. Hub said they always follow CHECKR assessment. CHECKR refused to include the two official documents in my UBER file they submitted. UBER deactivated me indefinitely as a unsafe driver. 10k rides over 4 years platinum driver rarely below a 4.5 rating they didnt care. I drive LYFT exclusively now and I'm making similar money with LYFT alone as I did running both apps. I really lucked out.

When I first started driving for Uber, I got the Uber bank card, i used it for instant pay etc, so i wanted to oder Uber Eats, i tried to pay with the Uber card, and they flagged it for fraud, and deactivated me from all Uber apps, i couldn't drive, or use the service, this continued for over a week, with no explanation for the deactivation, then i got an Email from them stating that they flagged my CC in error, they apologized and reinstated me. Also, i agree that Lyft seems to understand people and business alot better, or that they, at least care, for instance, I started driving for Uber Eats, I went about 15min away to pick up an order, that, for some reason, another driver had already picked up, I was offered no compensation, and was told that it wouldn't negatively affect me. Well, a similar situation happened with Lyft, I got a ride request, but the rider had already been picked up. Lyft gave me $15.00 compensation and apologized, that's just good business, plus, in my market, Lyft offers weekly bonuses, I've been driving for over a year now, and I've never seen a single bonus from Uber, not a single promotion, oh wait, I think there is the new free coffee from Starbucks deal, that includes rider participation, but u do get a free coffee. The mess up with Uber Eats happened again, this time, it was about 25min away. No compensation, no nothing, I stopped delivering for Uber Eats, that very min. I would also like to add, since I'm venting, and we're on the topic, I once picked up two separate orders from a restaurant, it was 20min to first destination, a few mins to park go to the front desk, wait until the person comes and gets their food, etc, then approx 15 min to the next orders destination, so the one person's order was in my car for close to 40 minutes plus, now I'm not sure, if stacked trips is a great idea. But, who knows.

I live in las vegas nv and I used to work construction and I had my truck and all my tools stolen then I lost my job no tools no transportation so my only choice is to go from 25 dollars an hour to 8.25 and with that I slowly loose the rest of my stuff and fall behind in rent so I begged my land load to give everyone more time I will figure something out so I decide I going to do everything in my power to buy a car and work for uber and get instant pay so I can get caught up on bills and won't have to wait 2 weeks between minimum wage checks I can work 12 hours a day 7 days a week and start paying bills on a daily bassis to get caught up and calm people down so I save every penny I can even letting my electricity get turned off and my phone my neighbor said he had an extra one I could use that he had to pay for so you might as well use it and so I spend 2 months working day labor and odd jobs off Craigslist to save up 1500 dollars for a down payment to buy a car and uber is going to be my big break to a good life again so I go from car dealer to car dealer for 2 straight weeks trying everything to get a decent car I can drive for uber until it is at least payed for finally after 2 weeks of begging someone to believe in me and trying 100 different companies for assistance and being told that uber is not a real job because they don't take taxes out and you don't have a boss to to tell you to go to work so you don't have to work I don't know about you but if I simply didn't want to work because some one said you better come to work tomorrow or I am going to fire you the thing that makes me get up and go to work is the fear of being homeless if I don't work so I finally find a dealer that will let me have a car a couple of weeks so I can make the remainder of my down payment needed to satisfy the bank 1.000.00 more dollars then when I do they will finalize the deal and it will get funded then I had to borrow 300 dollars for insurance now I have to come up with 1300 in 2 weeks or risk loosing my car so I set up instant pay and donate plasma to put gas in the car to get started so I work until I am on e and hit cash out and nothing for a couple days when I get the money I fill up and work until I run out then wait on the bank again then I am eligible to donate again so I give plasma and fill up the car then at about 62 or 63 rides I get a message saying my driver rating was lower than some of the drivers in my area read on to see how to bring your rating up and it referred me to read the community guidelines for my area and I did and it said they average your last 500 rides and if you had less than that your ratings would fluctuate more and they understand this and you would only be deactivated if you fell below there 4.6 minimum rating and remain there after being warned several times then you could be deactivated so I went back to working and had a great day I gave 22 rides and completed the task uber gave me for that day and received a 26 dollar bonus and made total that day 198.00 and my money I was waiting on cleared I got the instant pay taken care of so I cashed out and went and paid the dealer ship 500 filled my car bought groceries and because I had been using my neighbors phone and had a little money left and had a job where I could potentially make 200 a day and get paid every day there was no worries life was turning around for me and I had seen in ubers driver app a perks section and how I could save 25 percent on phones and 15 percent on service and upgrade to a new device and a 2 year contract so it was a no Brainer I was told you are approved for a I phone.and I pad just pay taxes on the devices and you will get big savings on the devices with a line for each so now in about a week's time I have got a 2015 vw passat at 380 a month a 300 dollar a month insurance bill an i pad and new phone for 175 a month a) directly related to my new job alone about 950 in monthly bills so I quickly told myself this is your new beginning and all you have to do is start work as much as possible and you will get caught up so I head to my car get it all read to go get in put my phone in the holder start the car check my mirrors and hit the app to see a message pop up saying my account needs attention to continue to drive so I figure it's a mistake I am at 4.6 after 87 rides I have 49 5 star rides 5 comments on excellent service and I have been rated below 5. 10 times and I had never seen any warnings for where my rating should be just that it was lower than some drivers in my area and not to worry that was expected when you first start out until you get used to the streets and app and you will get several warnings before you even are considered for Deactivation so I say to myself this will take 15 20 minutes tops as soon as I get them to look at it I will be back to work so I get them on the phone and tell them whNHat happened and I get put on hold for 20 minutes and they come back and said it's only temporary and not to worry just pay 50 dollars and take a course and upload the completion form and in about a week we will decide if you will be reactivated I am temporarily suspended and I won't be eligible for reinstatement if I don't take the coarse and they can't garentee my temporary suspension will be lifted by completing the coarse and they say that that is the only solution because I have continually remained below there rating threshold that I just was told about that I have never been below and have never received a Deactivation. warning for and when drivers are rated on there last 500 hundred rides it's hardly right to rate me the same way on 87 rides so now I will be evicted when I tell my land load after waiting for 3 months for this to happen that now I can't start paying him rent money and back rent money because I got fired in less than a week and loose my car and phone and tablet and be homeless with worse credit then I have now all because the computer generated an error message you have only one on choice do what the computer says or else even if it is wrong

For me Lyft desactivar and the only reason say was something with my identity when they have my drivers license my social my registration of my car insurance and bank information plus I pass the background check because they told. So what is the trouble I need to wait 6 months because they say I can apply again on 6 months after I work for they 3 months with 5 start rate straight I will been the same person now or at 6 months I hope Uber don’t turn on Lyft ever

typical Uber. I would go to the Hub. What can it hurt? Take all your documentation. Or wait for this video to have a postive effect.

This happened to me about 3 month's ago and I figured out that they were redoing my background check and driving record. They do a deeper check now so it can take some time but in 10 days I was ready to go. Think because of all the felons that got past the basic background check.
