His title seem to be driven from the Egyptian myths of Eye of Ra/Eye of Horus. Eyes that are said to hold great knowledge and future sight. The two deities are also depicted with falcon heads, with Ra having a famous small boat that he uses to travel in a similar fashion to Mihawk. -What solidifies the connection between Crocodile and Mihawk is the relationship between the deities I've mentioned. Additionally, both Sobek and Horus hold an extra connection of being known as allies and siblings in numerous myths. •So if their monikers, relationship and alliance is inspired from these 3 deities, what about their past and identities? And I've got the answer. -Egyptian Moon deity Khonsu. He is a deity that is depicted with 2 falcon heads, standing over a crocodile as a symbol of taming them (Like Sir.Crocodile), as well as the ability to shapeshift into one. He is known as a lone traveler present at gloomy locations, with the additional connection to baboons (Like Mihawk). He sounds like Mihawk and Crocodile's characters combined together. Perhaps the two falcon heads inspired Oda of making out of it 2 people instead. •However, Khonsu isn't the only figure that seems to carry the combined traits of Mihawk and Crocodile. Captain Hook is another inspiration for the 2. -Both Crocodile's and Mihawk's characters appear to be heavily inspired from Captain Hook. With Crocodile taking onto the hook and the connection to crocodiles that ate his arm (Which could hint at Crocodile possibly having cut his own arm off in the past). Mihawk takes onto Captain Hook's design, his baggy pants, his feathered hat, his red coat and even his pointy sharp mustache. Mihawk's character also seems to take on Captain Hook's mastery of swordsmanship and noble mannerisms. They also happen to share with Captain Hook the mystery of their hidden past, despite 20 years passing since their introduction to the story. Captain Hook's past that was said to be able of shaking the world if revealed, so could ut be the same for these 2 🤔 -What deepens the connection more between Mihawk and Crocodile with Captain Hook is the parallels between Buggy and Mr Smee. The goofy, humorous subordinate, with a red nose and a blue & white design who seem to trouble their leaders all the time. •The similarities between the two are too many to be called a coincidence. Yet the question is why would Oda develop 2 of his characters after the same figures thrice? This could only mean that Oda wants to make the connection and relationship clear between these two to us. -Crocodile and Mihawk also share several similarities and parallels in the story of one piece itself. Oda had hinted directly several times on the SBS at the similarities between Mihawk and Crocodile. The two share the same blood type. The 2 were the first introduced Warlords. The two had almost ended the journeys of their counterparts Zoro and Luffy. The two sought the titles of the strongest (Strongest man and strongest swordsman). The two share a deep resentment towards the navy and the WG, yet they were amongst the oldest and first serving Warlords. The two carry respect of each other and even view the other as equal, thus founding Cross Guild as Co-leaders. The two had rejected the offers of work and alliance from Shanks and Doflamingo despite the benefits they could get towards reaching their goals of self-indulgent peace (For Mihawk) and advancing the Utopia plan (For Crocodile) partially showing their distrust on others, which makes them allying after 1 call, point more at how deep their connection and trust in one another could be. Another fact that could explain their rejection is the shared lineage of both Shanks and Doflamingo, the two are celestial dragons. So perhaps Crocodile and Mihawk's aversion towards working with them is rather related to blood instead of trust. • I've mentioned earlier how the two are majorly inspired from Khonsu the moon deity. If we were to look at Crocodile's attacks and moves as well as Mihawk's named attacks in One piece games, we will notice their great resemblance to crescents and moons, with some even being named after them. So perhaps these 2 were always meant to parallel the Strawhat crew who embodies the Sun. -We've also never seen Crocodile's appearance and height during flashbacks, so perhaps it was a move done to hide his resemblance to someone else we know (Mihawk) instead of hiding his gender. I would also like to point at how greatly Mihawk and Crocodile look like each other when Oda drew them as kids with their frowning expressions. Their seraphim versions also look like replicas of each other minus the eyes and the scars when they were drawn at the same panel. So perhaps Crocodile and Mihawk are meant to be revealed as relatives 🤔

9:35 I LOVE this theory!!!!!!!!!!!! Considering the ponegliphs are indestructible, they still able to be dismembered and that they were described to us as being interconnected is very interesting 🤔 And as far as buggy’s fruit being important and the 2nd fruit we are introduced to etc means A LOT!!!!!! Oda definitely likes to have a circular interconnecting story, nearly everything has a meaning and a hidden Easter eggs/hints towards bigger revelations! 💯💯💯 BRILLIANT VIDEO!!! GREAT JOB
Yes! A new video!!! Btw, can you make a video gathering all of the references to Hindu mythology? There’s so much in One Piece that I dont think its a coincidence!
This was easily one of the best OP theory videos I've ever seen. No matter if it ends up being true or not, you actually build your theory on facts and research. Seen lot of people basing their theories on a theory, which is kinda like building a sand castle on water. Such an interesting points!
9:42 Well, Buggy has so far been shown capable of splitting only himself... but splitting other things is probably the most likely power of his fruit's awakening. 16:50 The grainy colors makes it look like she has a stubble...
Your videos are so excellent, your reputation deserves to be at the very top of OP channels. Soon you'll be at the very top!! I'm excited to see what you come up with next.
I was sad when this video ended... I will be very happy for more Buggy videos. As for which chapter to analyze from the first ones, I think chapter 17 might be interesting. Zoro is fighting Cabaji and Buggy sees something in Zoro. Also, Buggy calls himself an epithet. A theory that I heard is that Buggy's fruit is the fruit of the God of the forest, therefore Buggy is the God of the forest just how Luffy is the Sun God.
Really enjoyed this. Not knowing the wordplay I wouldn't know which volumes make the most sense to cover though 😅 Definitely watching some of your other videos though! Thank you.
Is there a relationship between One Piece and Esteban The Children of the sun/The Mysterious Cities of Gold? An anime aired between 1982-1984? Saw some videos recently showing the parallels to one piece. Aliens, cities of gold, a giant gold cube in an advanced solar powered ship, and destroyed ancient civilizations and the Continent of Mu.
So dusk and dawn… does Croco Mom actually carry any weight? I’d like to know your thoughts. Crocodile being originally female makes sense but him being Luffys mom originally is a stretch I wonder has any hints in the japanese version that could be lost in translation?
Croco Mom is my favorite theory in One Piece. Ivankov making that comment about fixing Crocodile seemed like mad foreshadowing to me. And then after finding out Luffy was Dragon's son in Impel Down really made Crocodile change his tune and cooperate more with Luffy. Good stuff. It's outlandish enough to be possible.
I wonder what movie he saw that had 'Boogie' in it. The only character with that name I can think of is from a video game that was made after Buggy was created.
I've fully believed that Buggy was a "D" for a while now and it's awesome to see such a well done video on this. I hope Buggy's character goes farther and I hope he get more powerful. I'd say that he has some of the best potential in OP.

I love this channel and the fact that you haven’t moved to shorts or TikTok is great. Long format content for the win. I just want to say thank you for the video and the numerous cultural information, if you decide to correct every translation of the anime I think you will unlock a lot of information about one piece, it may take a very long time but it's always satisfying when we see a hint about an event that oda mentioned like 10 years or even before that, your channel is underrated in one piece theories, just recently I found out about your channel and I wished I found it earlier, keep the good work and thank you.
Also in movie one piece stampede, buggy was thanking his mother for bringing him in this world, could it be a dig at her great grandmother who was an important figure in the past
Hello Dawn & Dusk, I have had a question about One Piece for a long time. I would like to hear your opinion as a translator. It is about the name of the island that contains the One Piece. In English, the island has had the names of Raftel and Laugh Tale. This was treated as a reveal in some English spaces, but to my knowledge the Japanese name has always been the same. My personal theory is that the name of the final island is actually Laughter. This fits with my knowledge about L and R being the same sound in Japanese, however I do not know enough about translation to concretely form arguments for this theory and I do not know if this has any significance in Japanese. How is the island that contains the One Piece named in Japanese? Does it have any meaning?
I wouldn’t mind Buggy being a D but idk if I’d like him being Rox kid I like this theory but I’d like to see him be apart of a family we haven’t heard from yet You just got a new subscriber too
This theory makes a lot of sense. I believe at one point Buggy’s paramecia was suppose to be a Zoan type, so it possibly supports him having a god fruit. In addition, it would explain why the Elders were so quick to give him such a huge bounty. Lastly, we know next to nothing about Rocks D Xebec. Rocks getting it on with a Nefertari would explain why the Gorosei would be so intimidated by him and want to erase him from history. His successor would in theory then be able to bridge the world government and all pirates alike. Hence “King Buggy.” The R and L in Japanese are also a lot a like, and apparently Clown could hypothetically be interpreted/ translated as Crown.
I love that you explain translations errors and Oda’s inspirations. I was just wondering if you read other manga so you can explain translations errors too like jujutsu kaisen. another difficult manga to understand especially heian era.
In Jaya, Blackbeard says "Peoples dreams never end" and in recent chapters, luffy says "that's at the END of my dream." I would absolutely love for the owner of this channel to explain for us if there is something deeper going on there? Or is it just a translation problem?
The early translations that come a couple of days before the official ones are always riddled with mistakes like the thing with Garling. I'm not telling anyone to stop reading those, but always be aware that the official translation has the correct intentions and meanings.
Interesting theory. Never thought of it like that. But with One Piece you find connections in a LOT of places. I love seeing new theories coming to light since the "big" ones are kinda boring to hear over and over.
Not proof, but there’s also a fan comic that made Buggy Vivi’s uncle. It’s fantastic! If you like the Nefeltari Buggy idea a lot, look it up. It’s a fun idea.
Perhaps the Bara-bara Fruit is really the Fruit of the Moon-god, "Hito-hito Fruit: Model Wara!😂" Nika makes people smile through fun and freedom; Wara makes people smile through his foolishness!
eating a god could also meant eating a devil fruit related to the four gods of the ancient kingdom. nika is one of them but there are four. maybe the darkness fruit is one of them, and buggy's fruit being more than meets the eye (there are hints of buggy's mindset chance, maybe that may lead to an awakening).
I think there are a lot of hints linking Buggy to Rocks. Although I have also seen a terrific video claiming he is Crocodiles father. Buggy is probably the more obvious choice for being his son and I wouldn't be surprised if he had been stolen from Rocks and was the thing that got Rocks to god valley in the first place. It would be kinda poetic to have both Buggy and Shanks end up on Rogers ship that day, both as little boys...
Just a thought: I don't think it's confirmed yet, but in the off chance it's revealed that poneglyphs are sea stone, it would likely be impossible to alter/move them using Devil Fruit abilities like Chop Chop or Paw Paw. Otherwise I like the idea of them being split and scattered by both fruits respectively.

Buggy's father might be Rocks. Anyways, I hope your channel get more views and get appreciated by more fans. Thank you for another great theory!! :)
This is honestly one of my favorite One Piece channels on TH-cam.
I think Shanks having a celestial dragon parent and a D clan parent would be interesting
This is by far one of the best channels as it gives you a true perspective on the nuances in the Japanese language that gets missed by non native speakers. You earned a new subscriber. Keep up the great work!
9:35 I LOVE this theory!!!!!!!!!!!! Considering the ponegliphs are indestructible, they still able to be dismembered and that they were described to us as being interconnected is very interesting 🤔
And as far as buggy’s fruit being important and the 2nd fruit we are introduced to etc means A LOT!!!!!! Oda definitely likes to have a circular interconnecting story, nearly everything has a meaning and a hidden Easter eggs/hints towards bigger revelations! 💯💯💯 BRILLIANT VIDEO!!! GREAT JOB
Great theory and there’s a reason why Buggy is oda’s favourite character! He has an important role to play in the story.
Such an interesting points!
this is the best one piece channel! HANDS DOWN!
Wow your content is fantastic and original. Keep up the good work. I'll be watching the rest of your videos
Love the video and the channel. I enjoy it so much more than the other channels that rely on headcanon as much as they do.
Thank you so much for sharing your perspective, this is so intriguing, and it gives the story so much more depth
Chop-Chop some trees?
@@dragonmangames2523 Exactly.
i love this channel. Keep it up. We keep watching.
This video was amazing and interesting you put alot of great points together !
No zero weight the end
@@Dontdoit_werent you commenting on another video how u were sick of one piece theory videos lol.
croco being originally female could be possible but him being luffys mom is just ridiculous
I absolutely love your channel. Was here for the garling vid, and will continue to be here as long as you keep on uploading! Thank you :)
Been watching a few of your videos these past months... that last party of todays video had me leave a sub tho. Really great content, great theories and not the usual clickbait titles etc. Keep it up :) so I can enjoy your future videos as well :)
If possible, please do a video breaking down the lyrics of Bink's Sake! You have the best analysis of panels, kanji, katakana, and Oda's inspiration for OP!!!! For years I've been curious why Bink's Sake is written the way it is and I'm CONFIDENT you could unlock the secrets behind that song!!!
I'll support you. Very good content. Greetings from Germany.
I love this channel and the fact that you haven’t moved to shorts or TikTok is great. Long format content for the win. My only suggestion to make it better would be to have a little more emotion when you speak. I first video I watched I thought it was text to speak, and I sorta turned me off of your content. I watched some more and realized I was wrong, also I’m sure some people watch because of that fact so take what I say lightly just my opinion. Great channel great video I’ll be back for the next one
What a fantastic theory and lore dive! This quality is reminiscent of the Soulsborne-Elden Ring theory channels I follow.
I've recommended your channel any time i could. You do amazing work, thank you for your contributions to the community 🙏
Roger does call it a "tale full of laughs" so i think laugh tale is correct
Amazing video! Love your channel 🤩🤩
I always enjoy these videos, awesome
So happy to have found your channel, subscribed!
Wow! thank you so much :)
Horus = HAWKEYE
Buggy = Osiris
Crocodile = Seth
You did well with this theory!
Dawn & Dusk video let’s goooooooooo
i got to the end! thank you for your work
Yooo, you're Italian? Nice video btw
AND, might I add, if luffy and the gang are going to space, they will need a MOON BUGGY.
I got goosebumps when you said "nefertari D buggy"..... Like damn!
Thank you for sharing this.
Thank you too :)
Now we only need to figure out the one remaining mystery character: Down D. Stairs
I wouldn’t mind Buggy being a D but idk if I’d like him being Rox kid
I like this theory but I’d like to see him be apart of a family we haven’t heard from yet
You just got a new subscriber too
9:51 i think lily used the paw paw fruit to scatter them across the world but had a family member seperate it with the chop chop fruit first
This theory makes a lot of sense.
I like how One Piece has basically ended up being one really long string of puns left out for years to go cold.
I really enjoy watching this !!!!!!!
3:40
So you are playing Pokemon Scarlet/Viloet? :D
That moment when you realize that he’s Buggy D. Clown and not Buggy the Clown lmfao
Amazon Lilly foundation makes so much sense!
Glad I watched till the end😂😂 the sermon took me out 💀
You not lyin tho. I’m not ready for this to be animated😭😭😭
what ur opinion about tequila wolf?
Holy shit that Mihawk and "Rabbit" connection is actually wild and i cant believe you noticed that
In 8:25 it should be the silhouette of Nefertary D. Lily but why is that looks like silhouette of Imu?
I listen to the whole video everytime.
The early translations that come a couple of days before the official ones are always riddled with mistakes like the thing with Garling. I'm not telling anyone to stop reading those, but always be aware that the official translation has the correct intentions and meanings.
thank you!
Another thing to notice is that he declared that he'd become the God of Pirates
Interesting theory. Never thought of it like that. But with One Piece you find connections in a LOT of places. I love seeing new theories coming to light since the "big" ones are kinda boring to hear over and over.
1:45 what’s the song
great theory! thank you
It’s been a while since a theory has been so wild as to shock me, but Nefertari D Buggy takes the prize.
I love the idea that Oda decided to make Buggy a D just because of the Buggy D. Clown memes
I really like this theory!
acabo de llegr a tu canal, me encanto!
suscrito
Not proof, but there’s also a fan comic that made Buggy Vivi’s uncle. It’s fantastic! If you like the Nefeltari Buggy idea a lot, look it up. It’s a fun idea.
Thank you so much :)
your videos give us insights no others do thank you for your work❤️
I’m committed to sharing insights and theories from new perspectives to ensure you have a meaningful and enriching experience!
Perhaps the Bara-bara Fruit is really the Fruit of the Moon-god, "Hito-hito Fruit: Model Wara!😂"
Nika makes people smile through fun and freedom; Wara makes people smile through his foolishness!
3:38 song ?
Buggy D Zebeck! Buggy will split the grand line while Luffy moves it!
eating a god could also meant eating a devil fruit related to the four gods of the ancient kingdom. nika is one of them but there are four. maybe the darkness fruit is one of them, and buggy's fruit being more than meets the eye (there are hints of buggy's mindset chance, maybe that may lead to an awakening).
The Poneglyphs are not 100% sea stone right buddy so I think that strong Devil fruit user can do that but not weak Devil fruit user.
@@sumedhbodade5104 like I said, nothing confirmed yet. Just posing a situation.
seastone can be moved by devil fruits just not damaged by them just like someone pushing you but not actually hurting you. @@ActualHumanMigz
This theory had me SCREAMING at points
