I've hoped ever since people started discussing the possibility that a black blade is one which has been transformed into such by a wielder's strong haki that the sword Zoro would turn into a black blade would be the Wado Ichimonji. Enma may be a legendary blade, but it can never have the same personal connection with Zoro and with us the audience that Wado has. The Wado Ichimonji becoming a black blade during Zoro's fight with whomever he ends up challenging for the title of strongest swordsman would hit so much harder than Enma becoming a black blade in a similar manner.
That would just be disappointing if he only makes one black blade and it isn't even his strongest sword. Zoro is obviously going to have 3 black blades and hopefully upgrades his kitetsu so he can have 3 supreme grade black blades not just 2 supreme grade and 1 great grade. And since I know people forgot, turning a sword into a black blade moves it up a rank so yes 3 supreme grade black blades is what Zoro should end up with.
If the requirement to make any blade into black blade forever is that you need to have your armament haki at a certain level than i think he would be able to make any Blade into a dark blade after using it for one time or maybe the progress or requirement is different if that makes. I think swords in one piece has will or some of them. maybe when any characters has the will of the sword than maybe he would be able to turn it into a black blade.

I really love how you brought Kuina into this theory, I find it quite amazing and interesting if something like Zoro going to visit the other world for some type of power up and eventually conquer Enma. Not just that but you also brought brook which adds more to the theory of what the devil fruits might be, devil fruits have always said to be something that are distant to appear to the users they find "fit" for them which can also be more of a desire for the devil fruit.
I am kinda really proud of myself for making that Rayleigh-Zoro connection regarding their nickname on my own. My head cannon is that for Rayleigh's "Dark King", Zoro will become "Demon King".

Mihawk being called Dracule, almost like Dracula, residing in a vampire like castle shrouded in the dark... now i am wondering if there is a deeper meaning behind that, since Vampires can turn human beings into vampires too and thus immortalize them, but also making them sensitive to the sun. Zoro has to defeat him in order to be the strongest swordsman in the world. Therefore he needs a black sword he can access by dying and returning back. Becoming immortal. Still unconnected thoughts but i never thought about Zoro having to die in the first place. BTW: I am really really happy that i have found your channel!! In chapter 653 of One Piece, the Straw Hats make a pinky promise to reunite with Shirahoshi. However, Zoro and Franky are the only two Straw Hats who do not participate in the promise. This is interesting, as Brook had just said that promises are to be kept to the death. Oda-sensei is a master of foreshadowing, but he also likes to subvert expectations, so i dunno. I still hope the Straw Hats can get a happily ever after buut as your title says tragedy is storywise unavoidable.

I think elbaf will have the Adam tree. The Adam tree is most likely modeled after the tree in Norse mythology that connects all realms. This might be a shot in the dark. But zoro has had 2 near death experiences. The first time “nothing happened.” The second time we can see he has an interaction with the grim reaper. Assuming it’s enma “the king of hell,” then this has HUGE Buddhism references along with egghead. Enma is known as the king of hell, rescinding in the realm of Jigoku, one of six realms of Buddha. Enma’s chief duty is to judge the souls of the newly dead and send them on to their next location. Enma may seem fearsome and terrifying, at heart, he is a kind and compassionate god, and he truly wishes to save each soul from damnation. This may be why the souls of the dead are given so many tests and trials to avoid going to hell. Zoro recently remarked that enma is testing him and claimed to be the king of hell. Zoros conquers will is oddly different then what we’ve seen so far, he has ashura. In some Buddhist traditions, the realm of ashura is considered to be the lowest level of heaven, and gets included among the “happy” rebirths. However, because ashura are so controlled by their emotions, it is almost impossible for them to achieve enlightenment, become buddhas, and escape the cycle of endless reincarnation. Souls who are reborn here are usually humans who lived good lives up to a point, but committed some wicked deed which prevents them from being reborn in the realm of heaven, sounds like Zoro! What if enma is trying to guide zoro to understanding ashura. Again enma seems fearsome but wants help, and zoro so far has passed Enmas trial when fighting king. When appearing it could easily just mention ashura leaving zoro curious. Zoro out of everyone want to ask vegapunk a question? Just showing ashura we could get a lot of info. But what next? Well I think the way to forge a black blade is you have to die while having a certain strength level and mastery/trust over the will of your blade. Mihawk has Dracula like ties and theres lore with Catholicism and resurrection. Once you die you become apart of your sword, merging souls/wills. That’s why mihawk moves as if his sword is apart of him, casual swings being devastating. But the issue with zoro is he’s “died” twice. His ashura like will seems to revolve around 3. So what if in zoros case because of whatever ashura is he has to die literally 3 times😂 to turn his blades black and in a sense master ashura “reincarnating.” And I theorize that Bonny could use her near death experiment attack on zoro. When she hit the marine he said he saw the “ sanzu river,” definition is three crossings. It’s also in Buddhist mythology and says Before reaching the afterlife, the souls of the deceased must cross the river by one of three crossing points: a bridge, a ford, or a stretch of deep, snake-infested waters. Whether you need to really die or be near death idk, but with whatever information vegapunk could give us after zoro shows him ashura and ask it could work. He might have to cross the worst bridge and be the final trial for it. Either way that could be what either gets him 3 black blades since he’s fully tamed all 3, or either in addition or by itself master ashura. Meaning he could potentially use it for like a gear 4 level time limit. And just for supporting evidence for the sanzu river Bonny thing, if they see the sanzu river it also mentions this. Similarly to the Sanzu-no-Kawa, there is also the Sai no Kawara. ("Riverbed of Death"), a boundary by which the souls of children who died too early cross over to the realm of the Dead, with the help of Jizō, a Kami/Bodhisattva who helps the souls of children who died too early to avoid the attentions of the Oni and of Shozuka-no-Baba and Datsueba. During his trial crossing bridge he may see kuina, and has to make peace with certain things or do something. That near death experience could be when he interacts with wado ichimonji in the form of kuina. Wado also has Buddhist lore with the realm Tendo.

The soul is also an explanation for haki and becoming aware in the body(armament haki, making your body harder) mind(observation haki, how mentally aware can you be of what’s going on) and spirit(conquers haki, how strong is your soul to will what you want into reality) I think will of the D is all spirits/souls who fight for individuality

The theory with Bonney was beautiful but too good to be true and Oda does not think this complicated, and I don't find it disrespectful to critique some of his decisions when it come to mass over quality. Not every mangaka is as good in writing a story as he or she is in drawing.

It feels like Brook has an actual grim reaper Zoan fruit ngl. It also should be mentioned that Wano mentioned Hell a lot in the rooftop battles and that characters like Kaido and Big Mom might have actually been sent to hell in a quite a literal sense
I think that's a very interesting point I honestly feel it would be similar to Luffy's battle with kaido or Luffy practically had to be on the verge of death if not dead for a moment only to reawaken as Nika I feel that considering all the hits and even all the confirmation of Zorro having untapped potential despite him managing to use Congress hockey for a bit while facing King I think we won't see Zorro fully understand his power until something happens to him or he's actually near death to such an extent that when he reawakens he will be a different kind of warrior I believe that should such an event like that happen the moment Zorro awakens not only will he be more in tune with his own power but he will finally understand how to make all of his swords black blades

"If" he survives means that his death is a given? It implies it, but it's still hard to think Zoro would die after all the punishment he has put his body through already.
I think Black Blades are made when a talented swordsman learns the sword’s name. And thus naming a sword gives it a soul and a soul can generate Haki and Haki is a black hence black blades.
I want to point something out. In that cover 233 of zoro in the river his shirt has what looks like the x that leads to laughtale and it says follow. What if they have to follow zoros getting lost direction to get the one piece. My guess would be it is binks sake and zoro follows his nose to it.
I don't know why but I feel like Oden withstanding the boiling oil and Oda showing a volcanic scenery with the artisans carving it while on some kind of river that's is probably boiling could be something (and in Impel down there was some levels like these)
In my theory after defeating the king in wano arc. We can see a grim reaper arrive. So my theory is after the reaper takes Zoro to the actual king of hell. And there he fights and gets the actual title "King Of Hell". And get back to life with superior power. Cause after that we can see he uses Asura to eat faster after that battle.

I think elbaf will have the Adam tree. The Adam tree is most likely modeled after the tree in Norse mythology that connects all realms. Luffy will go to the heavens and Zoro will go to the underworld and fight Enma. Usopp will remain and gain the influence of the giants and lead an army of 80, 000 men and giants into the final war. I think there elbaf arc will be absolutely stellar!
This might be a shot in the dark. But zoro has had 2 near death experiences. The first time “nothing happened.” The second time we can see he has an interaction with the grim reaper. Assuming it’s enma “the king of hell,” then this has HUGE Buddhism references along with egghead. Enma is known as the king of hell, rescinding in the realm of Jigoku, one of six realms of Buddha. Enma’s chief duty is to judge the souls of the newly dead and send them on to their next location. Enma may seem fearsome and terrifying, at heart, he is a kind and compassionate god, and he truly wishes to save each soul from damnation. This may be why the souls of the dead are given so many tests and trials to avoid going to hell. Zoro recently remarked that enma is testing him and claimed to be the king of hell. Zoros conquers will is oddly different then what we’ve seen so far, he has ashura. In some Buddhist traditions, the realm of ashura is considered to be the lowest level of heaven, and gets included among the “happy” rebirths. However, because ashura are so controlled by their emotions, it is almost impossible for them to achieve enlightenment, become buddhas, and escape the cycle of endless reincarnation. Souls who are reborn here are usually humans who lived good lives up to a point, but committed some wicked deed which prevents them from being reborn in the realm of heaven, sounds like Zoro! What if enma is trying to guide zoro to understanding ashura. Again enma seems fearsome but wants help, and zoro so far has passed Enmas trial when fighting king. When appearing it could easily just mention ashura leaving zoro curious. Zoro out of everyone want to ask vegapunk a question? Just showing ashura we could get a lot of info. But what next? Well I think the way to forge a black blade is you have to die while having a certain strength level and mastery/trust over the will of your blade. So what if in zoros case because of whatever ashura is he has to die literally 3 times😂 to turn his blades black and in a sense master ashura “reincarnating.” And I theorize that Bonny could use her near death experiment attack on zoro. It’s also in Buddhist mythology and says Before reaching the afterlife, the souls of the deceased must cross the river by one of three crossing points: a bridge, a ford, or a stretch of deep, snake-infested waters. Whether you need to really die or be near death idk, but with whatever information vegapunk could give us after zoro shows him ashura and ask it could work. He might have to cross the worst bridge and be the final trial for it. Either way that could be what either gets him 3 black blades since he’s fully tamed all 3, or either in addition or by itself master ashura. Meaning he could potentially use it for like a gear 4 level time limit. And just for supporting evidence for the sanzu river Bonny thing, if they see the sanzu river it also mentions this. Similarly to the Sanzu-no-Kawa, there is also the Sai no Kawara. ("Riverbed of Death"), a boundary by which the souls of children who died too early cross over to the realm of the Dead, with the help of Jizō, a Kami/Bodhisattva who helps the souls of children who died too early to avoid the attentions of the Oni and of Shozuka-no-Baba and Datsueba. During his trial crossing bridge he may see kuina, and has to make peace with certain things or do something. That near death experience could be when he interacts with wado ichimonji in the form of kuina. Wado also has Buddhist lore with the realm Tendo.

I think that's a very interesting point I honestly feel it would be similar to Luffy's battle with kaido or Luffy practically had to be on the verge of death if not dead for a moment only to reawaken as Nika I feel that considering all the hits and even all the confirmation of Zorro having untapped potential despite him managing to use Congress hockey for a bit while facing King I think we won't see Zorro fully understand his power until something happens to him or he's actually near death to such an extent that when he reawakens he will be a different kind of warrior I believe that should such an event like that happen the moment Zorro awakens not only will he be more in tune with his own power but he will finally understand how to make all of his swords black blades

I think Black Blades are made when a talented swordsman learns the sword’s name. And thus naming a sword gives it a soul and a soul can generate Haki and Haki is a black hence black blades.
