Picked up one a year ago because I wanted a larger knife that would make it easier to split the rib area when field dressing a deer. Resharpened the blade to my specs and it too became scary sharp. Had no issues field dressing a whitetail, and then for some of the butchering. It only needed a little honing to get it back to razor sharp. Used Montana Pitch Blend to make the sheath more water resistant.
