As a republic clone…. I love your vids . Always a great help to the armour community and I’m now tempted to use the lanyards instead the foam I use to hold my arms up(works but is hard to do on own cause my chest is slightly over sized)
thank you for being so generous with your knowledge. I found your channel yesterday when I watched you're video on splitting up models. I'm a 3d printer but not a cosplayer so still found it useful. THIS was just plain fascinating to watch, and has sparked a few ideas for the outfits I wear on my day job (Magician) Thank You!
I'm really looking forward to the lanyard video cause that blew my mind man! Would be a total game changer for flexibility and practicality for any big suits!
Your content and tutorials are top of the line man! I was wondering about getting a 3D printer but after watching your videos I’ve ordered my first and I can’t wait to make so much nerd stuff! Thank you for everything!
Great video! Would definitely like to see a video on the retractable lanyards for the arms. I always have trouble with the arms for my stormtrooper outfit and think that idea would help greatly with putting it on myself.
You are what inspired me to 3d print my own Ironman suit, and your videos are amazing. I am 6’ 4” tall and am having to size my suit a bit. Luckily thanks to you I know how to do that. I’m printing a mk 42 suit and you are what inspired me to do so. Keep up the good work.
I feel you 6'5" here.. I laughed out loud when Frank talked about scaling down the helmet to 94% in one of his videos... but going down that same road haha hoping all the best for you!
Hi ! I'm watching your video and it occurred to me why you don't use magnetic connectors? You would design a mother-father pair, with spring contacts, and put a magnet on their edges. That way, you don't have to precisely push the clips together, because the magnets would pull themselves into place. Because of the reversed polarity, you would place the magnets with asymmetrical polarity. Thus, they only want to connect if they are in the right direction, otherwise they will jump apart.
I'm convinced my phone is hearing my thoughts, saw one of your vids and thought 'how exactly does he put this on'. 20 minutes latter the matrix uploaded the answer. Thank you
have you ever thought about making the Endo-Sym armor? you could use the flexible PLA to make the alt head piece. I also reckon the alt head piece would suit you very well
@@FranklyBuilt my guy i havent danced in 9 years and I still wince at the thought of it pinching. but yes, multiple tight cosplays for dudes would benefit from one
Frank, I’ve finally started printing Rescue! It’s all your fault, and I blame you for everything, lol! It’s going to be a journey, but I’m so excited!!

I play lacrosse and I’ve been trying to create a 3D printed flexible target, but it keeps breaking after 3 or 4 hits. Any tips or ideas to fix that? I’ve heard filament choice is a big factor. I love your videos, and they are always rally cool and helpful.
Yeah i would say don't 3D Print a literal HIT target for a heavy ball and stick but, maybe you could make it out of something else. Ooooooor use Gyroid infill with 0.2 layer height and make it more durable.
Hey Frank was wondering if you can answer a quick question. Still printing a lot of my first suite but was curious how you attach the buckles you use in your harness to the piece of armor. I'm guessing hot glue maybe? Is there a certain kind you use?
Im 3d printing a halo suit and have been looking for a tutorial on how to hide wires and battery packs but they dont realy apply tomy suit. any tutorials or could you make one?
just wondering what is the best beginning 3d printer that can print Mandalorian armour set without having to worry about space if u could help that would be the best
Hey im trying to re make the raze boom bot from valorant and ive been watching your videos on how you go about your process. Though i jabe a question i cant seem to find the answer to. How would you go about making an lcd screen with an animation like a gif for the face? Ive been looking everywhere and it seems i need ot pluged into the pc
Quick question, while watching, I wanted to 3d print a Iron Man suit gauntlet, but the finger bending was my only issue I couldn’t quite think of, and in the video, I don’t really see an explanation, any possible explanation that makes decent sense?
I'm 14 years old and I have very basic knowledge of robotics, I'm looking to buy a 3d printer and I have projects to make iron man armor, that's just amazing and I want to reach that level someday.
I wonder what the future will hold for Frank's channel... perhaps one day he'll have gone far enough to make an actual metal or functioning suit? maybe 5 or 10 years?

I’m not really an expert when it comes to 3D printing even though I have a printer but I read there is a filament out there called poly smooth or something and if you dip it in isopropyl alcohol the layer lines will dissolve. I hope this helps you save some time with sanding!
I have a feeling you sleep in your armor at night instead of your bed. The thought of you standing up inside your suit sleeping haunts me 😂
you mean to tell me you don't have a filtration system in your suit that can turn pee into water? you really cutting corners
Tony stark was able to build this in a cave…
With a box of scraps
Install a catheter and filtration into the next suit 😎😂😂😂
😝 dum
@@SpacedHawkI'm pretty sure the one with the filtration was built in a lab.

Also what Is your distance set for your supports to make them come off easier?
Great stuff very enjoyable, have you ever thought of making a T800 cos play suit?
what do you think the easiest suit to print for a beginner?
None. They’re all tricky
Don’t print a suit because it looks easy. Make the one you like the best. Like Frank said all suits are hard.
How exactly did you do the “hinge” for the elbows and knees?
Trial error and lots of buckles
amazing build! whats the "close face plate" trigger?
It’s a trigger in the jaw

You might be better off with a softer filament. Consider printing the target in TPU or PETG filament. Just beware of the clean up from the stringing.
