    thanks for video. we just bought the ultimate limited awd last weekend!

    I don't agree with the hard plastics comment. I have a 2016 Tucson limited with ultimate package and I felt it has less hard plastics than the competition I drove this back to back with a 2016 cx5, 2015 crv, RAV4 and forester and I felt like it was more premium than all of them except the Mazda, which to me was about equal but the Tucson has slightly padded doors whereas the Mazda did not. I also got premium features like ventilated seats, power lift gate and a pano sunroof that aren't even offered on ANY of the competition.

      +Joshua Smith Yes the higher trim levels have more padding and less hard plastics.

      +Joshua Smith Hey Man. I like this vehicle. I am considering buying a limited 16 with AWD. What has been your real world mpg? How many miles per tank? How many gallons to from E does it take to fillup?
      Thanks for your help

    • @Smithj231
      @Smithj231 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +carguy812 I don't have the AWD, wish I'd have gotten it but decided to forego it as we never have snow in AL. I have been waiting until the light comes on, and it's about 11 gallons to fill up. I've been averaging about 280-300 miles or so to a tank in mostly city driving. I love mine! My only complaint is the DCT, it's a little delayed off the line at times, but for the options and style it's better than the competition. The only other cuv I liked was the CX5.

    Nice review Dave, any plans for a 0-60 test, especially with that neck snapping torque, and DCT. Would love to see how the manual shifts are with the DCT. I like what Hyundai has done with the Tucson, but am still a little partial to the CX-5. Thanks again.

    Dave, should have test drove one with the ultimate package, limited. I am the proud owner of one, and after all of these years of owning Porsche, Audi, and BMW, I can't believe how good the build quality, performance, and technology are on this vehicle. That 1.6T is excellent. Love my daily commute.

    good review, I sat on the limited and it felt very nice, bit it did have hard platicar on the bottom part. I live in Socal so AWD is useless, unless you do off road, but I would not want to take this offroading. I plan on getting g a limited without that expensive panoramic sunroof and later on a 2dr basic wrangler.

    Dare I say there are no engine options in this vehicle, but two choices. The one you get depends on which Model you select. The 2.0 is ONLY in the base SE, while all others get the 1.6 Turbo.

    If you want a crossover with decent AWD system,cool exterior,soft touch interior,and amazing handling on the road you have to buy Mazda CX5 or Volkswagen Tiguan and the Tiguan has by far the highest speed and torque in the segment. The other like the CRV,RAV4,Sportage,Tuscon etc...are pure plastic with base trims and weak engines alongside 0 offroad ability.

    Long time viewer and subscriber but really hard plastics? Have you looked at the cars in this segment? They all have hard plastics but this has one best finished interiors. I test drove all these cars and they economy CUVs so of course they aren't going to have luxury appointments. And that comment about front wheel drive pulling-feel in the car... that happens in all FWD cars. If you want driving feel this car has none and if that is what a buyer is looking for probably better off getting the CX-5. Interior is superior to CR-V, RAV-4, CX-5 and Forester. What are you comparing this car to? You need to get Limited or Ultimate model to test and compare to other cars in the segment, and not compare it to luxury crossovers.

    how's hyundai in terms of reliability? specially engine and tranny/ their cars look awesome to most honda's for the past 5-6 years/ however owning a car is not all about looks but being able to have a peace of mind that it wouldn't break down anytime/ I own a honda civic and honda cbr sports bike and what i get is extreme engine reliability and decent performance/ I still think that hyundai specially kia cars are not as good as a honda or toyota// I got friend and has a hyundai small car 4 cylinders and after 1 week from the dealer the engine is creating some weird noise and it doesnt pull much since then until it stopped running/ then he brought it to the dealer and found out that there's a problem with the engine/ quality/reliability wise, would you consider buying a hyundai dave?

    Dave, I know you had only FWD for Tuscon, but what would be your choice between the two: 2016 Mazda CX-5 GT AWD or 2016 Hyundai Tucson 1.6T AWD, if compare for an active couple (30 years old both), who does a little bit of everything (on/off road, winter and forest trips, light of course). Can't make my decision. Thank you!

    • @Coupydog
      @Coupydog 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Bakhtiyor Ubaydullaev Particularly with AWD, either of these should suit you perfectly; equally. You'll need to test drive them, as all vehicles have slightly different nuances or personalities. Let the seat of your pants do the work. The car that "speaks to you" will be the one.

    • @bach858
      @bach858 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Coupydog thanks. I was planning to testdrive both of them. Simple logic tells me the CX-5 would be more complete and reliable at this point as it is around for 3+ years and passed through many refinements. Dual clutch at Tucson scares a bit, as it is a brand new model and not VW/Merc with their long history with DCTs, let's say. But it is only logic. Feelings are calling for both. So -- test drive! Thanks again.

    • @Maxxlenoxx

      +Bakhtiyor Ubaydullaev I bought a new vehicule last Sept. and I had to decide between the CX-5 GT and Tucons Limited. Both great vehicules. Test drove both and ended up with the Tucson. I was worried too about the new Tucson's DCT but I found out it has been on the Veloster since 2012 and then on the Sonata 2015. Good luck with your final decision :) !

    • @bach858
      @bach858 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Maxxlenoxx What's the mileage you have now? What was your breaking point to opt for Tucson? What type of gas do you fill in? How does turbo handle regular unleaded fuel if you use it? I know it's been just a month for you, but I am curious about all aspects. Thanks!

    • @Maxxlenoxx
      @Maxxlenoxx 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Bakhtiyor Ubaydullaev 1700 miles so far. It's hard to put my finger on one thing so I'm gonna say everything felt right in the Tucson (seats, handling, panoramic sunroof, acceleration, touch screen). I tried both regular (1 month) and premium (1 month) and didn't see much difference in terms of performance or gas consumption. I average 26 MPG (70% city / 30% highway on Eco mode).

    For a fwd wagon, the new 2016 Scion IX has a much nicer interior. better mpg.

    No, 0-60? Should be a no brainer, even with a SuV, if it has turbo and dual-clutch should be a mandatory thing to do :) Far as the pull, its probably due to crappy tires and being FWD.

      +Xsoul1000 Those are lower trims that match other brands in the similar trim level. The higher trim Tuscon's have soft material all around but you have to pay a lot more for them.
