    #Ask everymandriver: On the new Tucson how about a power test, like climbing a steep street, entering a freeway and maybe doing both with a load of people to test pick up. Love your videos, always informative and fun.Cheers.

    You can't judge this car based on the Sport trim. The Limited version has leather seats in other colors, an 8 inch center screen, an optional 4 inch information screen between the gauges, and a regular sunroof or the panoramic one just to name a few things. So check out this trim level. I think it is very impressive.

    What do the rest of you guys think about the 2.0 for a retired guy who wants to take trips up I-17 to Flagstaff on occasion to escape the heat? It's just me and my dog. My Accent does fine, but it's just too noisy on the freeway. A quiet car is what I'm looking for.

    • @paulwicklund1052
      @paulwicklund1052 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Eric Oberhaus You can get a 4x4 Jeep Cherokee for this price range.

    • @fungooloo12
      @fungooloo12 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Eric Oberhaus you should live in Australia, the top model Tucson has a retail price of $45.5k plus on raid costs and dealer delivery bringing it to just over $50k. Santa Fe is even more pricey at top model $60k here. Anyway I just bought a Tucson Highlander and absolutely love it, much preferred over the larger Santa Fe for us as the wife thought the Santa Fe just a little big for her. The Jepp.....yeah Jeeps are unreliable and the service and support from Jeep themselves is a load of rubbish so why would I buy a Jeep!

      For what it's worth, I still drive a 2004 Volkswagen Passat with the 1.8 Turbo engine. 174k miles and it doesn't burn up oil lol. It's worth noting that I do an oil change every 3-4kish miles. Still plenty of oil inside, it still has some life in it, but I'd rather have clean oil lol

      +ibeastly because its good to review base models. Not everyone can afford the top trim level, also this isn't the base trim level either. The base has different Rims. What he has is the Sport Model

    • @fungooloo12
      @fungooloo12 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Calyn45 base model ride is the same as top end. All sound prooofing and suspension is the same so all models are super quiet and smooth ride, all reviews say so I watched about 30 reviews on youtube in all languages and all models, European and American as well as the ones delivered to Australia. The only difference is the internal finish, sunroof (amazing by the way), soft touch panels, cooled seats, satnav etc....

    • @patrickdezenzio4988
      @patrickdezenzio4988 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Brian Waller The base models all suck from every manufacturer. It's like buying a 1985 vehicle with crank windows than power windows. I look at the Limited because I am driving a new vehicle a minimum of 8 years so I think about the next 8 years. If a vehicle is dull now, by Year 2 it will be horrendous. Like that navigation screen....it's 5 inches in his video. To me, it's useless to have since it's too small to see and the thought of people hunched over with reading glasses to read the screen...well it's not a good thought. The Limited here includes an 8 inch screen, so now we are talking. Many thinks on the Limited that are pretty much must-haves like blind spot detection. I won't even look at a vehicle if it doesn't have it. I look over my shoulder in my truck about 100 times a day when changing lanes because I have a blind spot big enough to hide a Hummer. One day, I'm going to look back and the car ahead of me is going to hit their brakes.

    Auto rear liftgate is a MUST! Maz dealership said CX-5 doesn't have it, only the CX-3??? Weird. I would buy a Tuscon right now...IF only it had 200 HP/torque! Being underpowered trying to pass up a hill is a deal breaker for me! My 2.4L turbo Speed3 has 263 hp for christ sakes! Hyundai engineers are mudda pucking lazy!

    • @patrickdezenzio4988
      @patrickdezenzio4988 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +tigerbalm What's the big deal with a lift gate? I've gone 30 years without ever needing one but all of a sudden everybody MUST have one or else. I either have my stuff in a buggy or I can put all my stuff in one hand for just a moment to open the rear gate. I seriously doubt people are walking out to their cars with 8 bags in each hand without a cart.

    The exterior looks amazing on this new Tuscon, but the interior is just so cheap looking. I owned two hyundais before I switched to Mazda, and wow the quality inside and out is just so much better on my Mazda. And I still consider Mazda to be a cheapo brand, but its on a different level. Plus this 1.6T is terrible. Owned it for 2 years.

    • @Maxxlenoxx
      @Maxxlenoxx 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Turbo4Life1217 I bought a new car last september. I narrowed my 2 choices to Mazda CX-5 GT and Hyundai Tucson Limited. I went with the Tucson and I don't regret it one seconde (by the way the 1.6T is far from terrible). CX-5 and Tucson are both very similar vehicules (price/quality/options).

    • @TheAdventureAuto
      @TheAdventureAuto 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Maxxlenoxx Hopefully they retuned the engine differently and learned a lot from the initial Veloster Turbo 1.6T bc the hesitation and fuel economy were so bad. The 2.5 in the mazda is incredibly smooth and is getting me 8mpg better overall. Plus the 1.6T reliability was not great. That's why I traded it away.

    • @Maxxlenoxx
      @Maxxlenoxx 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Turbo4Life1217 I'm glad you end up with a vehicule that you like :). I've heard a lot of complaints about Veloster (on many levels, not only the engine). But I believe the Gamma engine (1.6T) is good and reliable when properly tuned. I average 27mpg with my new Tucson and I believe the DCT helps a lot. DCT acts like a manual transmission on low RPM but as long as it's reliable, I can live with that!
