Years ago I used to make candles. Banana split, cupcakes, pies, chocolate covered cherries, bowl of ice cream, ice cream cones. Everyone love those. This is different
I just finished making your faux cupcakes! They came out super. I didn't have the moche acrylic so I used my Lascaux studio Gold Ochre. I thinned it down to a more transparent glaze with gloss medium. I'm looking forward to following your channel.
I have always wanted to do this and I’ve watched several people for tips and tricks. Yours, by far is the simplest. I always enjoy watching your videos. You are so much fun to listen to. Thanks for sharing this great idea
These are adorable! Very realistic looking. Wanted to let you know I got my paparazzi jewelry and I love it!! I especially like the rings but it's all so pretty. Very pleased with it.
Does the frosting set hard? Would it crumble? I would like to make these for a stage prop and I'm wondering how well they will hold up. Would you suggest setting the final product with Shellac?
I've watched you other videos before . I was glad to see you make fake cupcakes. I learned more from you than anyone else. I didn't know that a nozzle screwed on ...what a mess I had . I kept tying until I got them more rounded . If you make mug toppers, I'd like to see you do that. Thank you again!
I'm going to end up in the ER with a blockage from eating these...they look so realistic! Dr.: "Ma'am you do realize these are FAKE foods?" Me: "Yeah...what's your point??"
Put a magnet in the bottom & it'll stick to the fridge. Then everyone who sees it will wonder why you have pastry on your fridge & why its it's not falling off.
I watched many different tutorials on faux cupcakes that did not specify which foam to get. I am glad I found your video because you specify! I have already bought 3 cans of the larger gap spray foam. Can I still use it? Have you tried to make these with that type of foam?
I'm having a really hard time getting the piping to come out as smooth and effortless as yours. Is it my spackle or the bags do you think? Red Devil 0544 ONETIME Lightweight Spackling, and Kasmoire Piping Bags and Tips Set were used with no success. I'd love any tips you have on getting the flow right
Girl I've been following you for a while, I Love your crafts, and your fake food DIY's these cupcakes are too adorable! 😍 I also have been stumped since the day I subscribed to you, on who you sound like, I was watching your Faux Valentine sugar cookie, and my husband over heard your video, and told me , she sounds like Grace, from Grace under fire, and I told him that's EXACTLY who she sounds like, I've been trying to figure it out for months, but never got it, but he figured it out for me lol! You sound exactly like Brett Butler from Grace under fire! I don't know if you have ever been told that before 😊 love your channel ❤️
Im going to make these and put them on a cake plate to show at my open house. Then Ill have a cake scented candle . So I dont have to make cupcakes every time someone comes to see the house I have for sale :)
Amber your sparkle looks white! Why? I use the same spackling for all of my faux food and mine is the exact same brand but mine shows up as grey. I do purchase the big tubs, 1 gallon. I want the white kind. Ugh 😩
Awesome video! I recently purchased a "cupfake" on Etsy to use as a photo prop and wanted to know how it was made. You lost me at the glitter though, LOL. That stuff is never welcome in my house!
Thank you! I am trying to make an artificial cupcake May i ask when it dries can i still put a cupcake topper on it - like i can insert a toothpick on it?
Plaster of Paris should work just fine if you were going to smear it on like cake icing. It will be heavier than the spackle, so I would just do a thin layer so it won’t fall off
I do sell them. I have a small circle of clients that I’ve been working with for a while that I sell to. They can be difficult to ship, so I do not sell them online at the moment.
Since we are having to stay home more n majority of Farmhouse DIYs have been done by every DIYer in every way possible I was wondering if u could do some Home DIYs centered around indoor comfort, relaxation, cozy n etc like Diy plants live n artificial, Diy scents, throw pillows, reading area, n DIYs different for diff rooms lik living, dining, bath, bedroom (kids n adults)!!!! Plz
Fake food as a multi million dollar industry. I sell to real estate agents who use them to set up homes before they are shown. I sell to photographers, bloggers, website designers, anyone who needs to stage for a photo.
Your neighbor is trying to get away from his kids. By blowing leaves, he's safe from him. Because you know kids will stay away from anyone doing work! Lol I once tried to make a water fall with a rock effect. What a mess I had. I still want to try doing it. But my first attempt was outside with a nosey neighbor putting in his two cents. I have up. But I do remember how much fun it was trying to get it off of my hands. What a mess.
I do sell these. I have a small circle of photographers and realtors I have been working with for a while that buy from me. They can be a little difficult to ship, so I do not sell them online right now.
Want make some artificial cakes, pies slices, and cupcakes. This is not towards you, but why does everyone on TH-cam use "faux" instead of "fake" or "artificial"? Is it a political correctness thing???
It’s just a preference. ‘Faux’ is a French word used in the fashion industry, but it has crept over into the decorating world. In speaking terms, it just sounds better.
Fake food is a multi million dollar industry. I have a group of realtors, photographers, and bloggers that I sell mine to. Realtors use it when they are staging homes, photographers use them as photo props, and bloggers use them for the same reason.
These are adorable, so realistic. Thank you for showing us how to make and sharing your talent with us. Have a wonderful day.
I have zero use for these, but after watching you make these, I feel a real need to make them!!!!

Very cute.
Does the frosting set hard? Would it crumble? I would like to make these for a stage prop and I'm wondering how well they will hold up. Would you suggest setting the final product with Shellac?
You can add shellac if you like. I have some that are a few years old, and they look great. I I myself have not had an issue with them crumbling
These are cute! Tfs and God Bless 🥰💜

Best video I've seen on making these yet!

You can definitely use that kind, but just fill it up maybe a quarter of the way full. It will expand a lot
Ooh yeah this is so creative! ^u^ they look so pretty and real, and this can also be a very good prank on someone! I LOVE IT
I'm having a really hard time getting the piping to come out as smooth and effortless as yours. Is it my spackle or the bags do you think? Red Devil 0544 ONETIME Lightweight Spackling, and Kasmoire Piping Bags and Tips Set were used with no success.

Awesome. Love it. How long does the frosting take to set up?
It doesn’t really take too long. As long as the room is not too humid, it doesn’t take but just a few hours
I know it's almost February BUT you really need to do a tutorial on a GINGERBREAD HOUSE!
Hi. Amber. I saw a wreath on Facebook made with all DT items Red,White & Blue bandanas and a wreath from DT.
Could you do your take on it , please and Thank k you
Love

Thank you! I am trying to make an artificial cupcake
May i ask when it dries can i still put a cupcake topper on it - like i can insert a toothpick on it?
Oh, yes. You can do that. The topping will be firmed up, but it won’t be rock hard, so a toothpick will go in.
@@ThisSouthernGirlCan thank you! This helps me a lot.
Hi I’m planning to do a fake cake but we don’t have spackling here in our country, what would you suggest for alternative?
How bout plaster of paris?
Plaster of Paris should work just fine if you were going to smear it on like cake icing. It will be heavier than the spackle, so I would just do a thin layer so it won’t fall off
Cool 😛
Very clever Amber! 🧁🧁🧁Thank you.
Just love watching your videos you are the best crafter I have ever seen, you no how to make everything 🤔👍god bless you and your family
Can you do a video reviewing the paparazzi jewelry
Where can I buy that white frosting from as I live in England.
I love your videos, your funny! And your crafts are beautiful. Do you sell these? You must I’m sure
I do sell them. I have a small circle of clients that I’ve been working with for a while that I sell to. They can be difficult to ship, so I do not sell them online at the moment.
Looks like a real cupcakes, have you tried doing Easter cupcakes also.
I will make some of those soon 😄
don't get that spray foam in your hair or on your hands it takes forever to get off..great job could you use hair spray to seal it?
very co0l

my frosting isnt drying?? Its been over 24 hours...help! :)
It might just be the humidity levels in your home. Give it another day or so
@@ThisSouthernGirlCan thank you, I will...do you know the average dry time on them and do they harden rock hard or just slightly?
I have gloves but never use them😂
Need close caption? Please
I always wear gloves when dealing with Great Stuff. I hate getting that stuff on my hands.
