Just thought I would mention a little tip. Everyone has been asking about the straw getting clogged after use. When I'm done I just take the straw off the can, then I take a long pipe cleaner Big bag of them at Walmart for cheap), and put in the straw, twisting as I push it through. The straw is clean as a whistle when done. Make sure to do this while the foam is still wet. Hope this helps.😉
My question is how do you keep the foam from rushing out after you use on each cupcake? It keeps spewing out and I have to put a latex glove over it and wrap it but it's kind of difficult
A magnet in the bottom, instead of paper clips, will allow you to put them on the fridge. Also, for display purposes on windy days, they would stay put on a display board with magnets or a strip of metal counter sunk in it.
I just wanted to mention once you put the "frosting"on, set the cupcake aside until the next day.It takes awhile for it to dry especially the middle! They dry hard!I've dropped all kinds and they never even chipped!

@@4sochaj Yes nothing is never measured!
What might you suggest that could be used as colorful fake sprinkles for a cupcake?
olga jimenez You can put tiny beads if you wanted but I use my fake sprinkles! I have a DIY video on how to make them! You can also buy some online:)
Oh great, I’ll check into it. Thank you
Can I spray the foam in a cupcake liner in a pan that I use to bake with or should I buy on specially for this?
Don't use a pan you bake with!
I just found your channel and subscribed! I love this idea and can’t wait to try making my own. Thanks for sharing this awesome tutorial 💗
Lisa Booth Joyner Thanks for subscribing!! Happy crafting!❤️
Can you use foam clay or some sort of clay for the 'buttercream'?
I used to make mine 6 years ago. I don't know why I stopped. It was fun.
Rachel Ornelas It is ! You should make more !
So cute. And so simple.
Beverly Stufflebeam Thank you!
your faux cupcakes are beautiful!!! and thank you for showing ways to weight the liner and some other great tips and tricks to successfully creating these :D as I too have had failings!!! But, with your tutorial I should now be A.O.K. :D thanks so much for sharing this!!!
Marilyn Ray Knopic Thank you so much !!❤️
Can you tell me what's the point of the weight? Like why it's needed?
@@littlefifths7760 if you don't weight them in some way they are sooooo lightweight they will just topple over and roll around LOL trust me ... I know!!! :D
@@MarilynRayKnopic Oh wow! 🤣🤣 Thanks for replying!
@@littlefifths7760 you're so welcome!!! have fun!! :D

yellowsunflower100 Thank you ! I always put the ingredients you need bellow the video but you may only be to see it if you’re on a lap top or computer. So you need Great Stuff sealer foam for the base and light weight spackle and craft paint for the frosting part ! Happy crafting!❤️

Can you tell me the colors I use to make a yellow cake? Thank you!
You can use any shade you wish!Sometimes I use Lemon yellow ,daffodil or white mixed with a tiny amount of bright yellow!
Love, Love, Love these. Was wondering if you had a knowledge as to how to make gnome food? Thanks so much for sharing, and God Bless! P.S. I shared this with my daughter in Florida, and maybe she might try this as well. Thanks again...
ELIZABETH VISCUSI Thank you!I’ve never made gnome food though!
Hi! Do you think if I mod podge the spackle it would waterproof it? It’s because I want to make these for outdoor decorations. Thanks.
Sorry but no LOL
Oh man. 😊 thanks
Hello! love your channel! Just wondering how long you can keep the frosting in the piping bags without hardening? thank you!
Also, Where do you get the cherries from? X
Amazon and eBay!
@@thepinktree3490 thank you so much. Xx
Amazing Job !
Tyvm for sharing
after you've used the icing tips......do you have to discard because of the plaster that was in them (and probably hardened if it sat too long?
kathi shreeve No because I never leave my tips long enough to harden!I keep reusing them:)
What do you use for the icing on your various shakes, cup cake?
Blair Boyce Lightweight sparkle. It’s a light weight crack filler .
Very cool and realistic looking. Wonder how much these could sell for on Etsy?
Melancholy43952 Thank you ! People do sell them on Etsy for a variety of prices ! The fake cakes are quite pricey!
How did you get the speckle to come up of the bag so easily when you squeezed it?
I did this last night for the first time and it was very hard to come through the little holes even though I stirred it and added just a bit of water 🙄
Yes you just need to thin it out more with paint or water!
Nice! Can you please tell me why the "weight" is necessary?
Little Fifths Because they are top heavy if you add a lot of frosting and embellishments.I put paper clips now.
How do you get the spray foam to be so round in the cupcake liner, and to fill the whole cupcake liner?
What site on ebay for the cherries please, the garland in the back with the heart box do you have a video on making it?
Jandle in the city If you search fake cherries all kinds should come up! I do plan to make a video on the heart swag !Thanks!
I need some help! So I have been trying these out with lightweight spackle, and it seems when I pipe it just kinda sputters out even with consistent pressure. Is there anything I should mix with the spackle? It seems too airy to pipe correctly, I'm using red devil
Maybe when you put it in the bag you are trapping too much air?If it’s too watery you can add flour, corn starch or baby powder.
